It was 11 o'clock at night. A girl was diligently reading a research article on her laptop.
Many ancient artifacts had kept in this building which date back to the time of a demon emperor. These artifacts have been secretly brought here and preserved. It is still not confirmed whether these artifacts were related to the same demon emperor or not.
"Xin Ye! It's time to go home.", Li Hua said.
"Five more minutes.", Xin Ye replied. She focused all her attention on her laptop because she found something very interesting in the article.
"Li Hua! See!", Xin Ye said in excitement.
"What did you find?", Li Hua asked and came near her. She looked at the laptop.
According to the article, the lost palace of the demon emperor and most importantly his real sculpture is in Xuantian Abyss which was on the border of Hong Kong.
"Really! It means Chao Xiang's lost palace is in Xuantian Abyss! But how will we go there? I mean it's not safe and I have heard that whoever goes there disappears.", Li Hua said.
"Yes. But this is the only way. If we want to find the real sculpture and the weapon called the Chronofang, we must go to Xuantian Abyss. And this article has been written by the most famous professor Prof. Wu. Maybe he must have done some research due to which he has come to this conclusion.", Xin Ye replied.
Li Hua pulled out a chair and sat down.
"So tomorrow let's meet Mr. Wu.", Li Hua said.
Xin Ye nodded her head. They both grabbed their bags and exited the building after turning off the lights. Li Hua was very excited and hugged her childhood best friend tightly.
"It's very difficult to wait for tomorrow. The work we've been doing for ten years is finally going to be completed.", Li Hua said.
Xin Ye smiled after seeing her friend's happiness. She was also very curious and sometimes felt that she herself was very important for this research.
"Good night. And sleep at time.", Xin Ye said.
Li Hua nodded her head. Then they both headed back to their houses. Li Hua called her boyfriend and talked to him while she was still home.

Xin Ye lives alone in this apartment. She belonged to a rich family. Her parents lived in Shanghai. They were rich and one of the biggest businessman of China.
Xin Ye was twenty five years old. She had known about Chao Xiang and Chronofang since the age of fifteen. She's been interested in this research ever since. People don't believe that this type of demon and its weapon, the Chronofang, still exist in this world. Only a few people believe in this.
Xin Ye lay on the bed and looked at the ceiling. Many thoughts were running through her mind.
"Now even Prof. Wu has written an article on Chao Xiang. I will not be defeated. I will prove that the demon is still among us. After that people will also know about us. Me, Xin Ye, Yi Chen and Mu Yang.", Xin Ye thought and smiled and hugged her pillow.

In Prof. Wu's House

Xin Ye rang the doorbell. Li Hai and her boyfriend Yi Chen were there too. Mrs. Wu opened the door. Her eyes were moist. There were a lot of people at home today.
Those three greeted Mrs. Wu.
"Actually we want to meet Prof. Wu. Is he free then can we get a chance?", Lu Hai said.
The lady became sad and the tears which she was controlling now started flowing from her eyes.
"He has passed away. He is no more. Last night he had a heart attack. We took him to the hospital but the doctor declared him dead." The lady said.
Xin Ye held the hand of Mrs. Wu.
"May he rest in peace. He was really a god person. I met him once and he was very humble.", Yi Chen said.
After a few minutes Xin Ye, Li Hua and Yi Chen came to the cafeteria.

Xin Ye got sad after knowing Prof. Wu's death. Li Hua put hand on her shoulder.
"So, what's next?", Li Hua asked.
"We will go to Xuantian Abyss.", Xin Ye said.
Yi Chen got tense. Because that place was very dangerous and what will happen next no one knows.
"Are you sure?", Yi Chen asked.
"Yes. We are researching in it from many years and we can't waste this opportunity. Let's do it. And if you don't want to come then it's okay. I will go there and check.", Xin Ye said.
"No!", Yi Chen and Li Hua said in unison because they couldn't let their friend to go there alone.
"We will come. Let's take the risk together.", Li Hua said.
"Yes. Let's do something daring.", Yi Chen said.
They ordered coffee and snacks and build their plan.

The next day, Yi Chen arrived with a car. Li Hua was already in his car. Xin Ye sat in the backseat. As Yi Chen started the car, they left for Xuantian Abyss.
Excavation equipment was kept in the car, along with a gun for protection.
"I've heard the network goes off when we go there. If that happens, how will we contact each other?", Li Hua asked.
"Don't worry honey. We will all be together. If we stay together, no one will get lost.", Yi Chen said.
Yi Chen accelerated the car. After two hours, they finally reached their destination.

It was ten o'clock in the morning now. They've arrived just in time. It was a forest area with tall trees.
"Have we come to the wrong place?", Xin Ye mumbled.
"No. Location is same.", Yi Chen said.
"Guys! Network has gone.", Li Hai said and showed her phone's network.
"We have to do it fast. It can be dangerous if we stay here until night. We will stay in a hotel for the night and return tomorrow." Xin Ye said.
Yi Chen brought a metal detector. They all start digging at the spot. Suddenly the weather turned dark. Till now there was good sunlight but suddenly due to the weather becoming dark, there was problem in excavation because nothing was visible clearly.
After a while, the wind started blowing. It was a gentle breeze before, but then it was blowing very strongly.
"What's happening?", Li Hua asked.
"I think we should go in the car.", Xin Ye said.
As the wind blew, raindrops began to fall upon them. The wind caused even the tallest trees to sway, creating a unique illustration.
"Run fast!", Yi Chen said.
Everyone collected their belongings in boxes and ran towards the car. After Xin Ye ran for a few meters, she suddenly slipped and fell. She tried to get up but an unnatural force kept her pinned to her place.
