Wang Sheng quickly ran out as fast as he could and reached Martial Soul Hall.
"Halt, this is Martial Soul Hall, unauthorized personnel are not allowed to step foot here." The Guards said as they blocked Wang Sheng.
Wang Sheng stopped just before the guards and panted, out of breath from running too fast.
"I'm here to evaluate my soul power rank." he said after taking a few deep breaths and calming down.
The guards made way for him after hearing what Wang Sheng said.
"The one you have to meet is master Ma Xiu Nuo, he will be at reception on the first floor or in the room to the right on the same floor." They gave directions, while making way for him to enter.
Wang Sheng nodded respectfully to them before getting inside.
Once inside Wang Sheng looked at everything in awe.
The luxuriously decorated room brimming with a sense of life to it.
While Wang Sheng started getting distracted by the luxurious room and the decorations, wall paintings and the indoor plantation the door to the right opened and an old man with white hair and beard walked out.
"Child, what are you doing here?" The old man asked with a kind smile as he approached him.
"Are you Master Ma Xiu Nuo? Hello sir, I'm here for my Soul Power rank evaluation." Wang Sheng said while giving the old man a respectful bow.
The old man shook his head. "I am Ma Xiu Nuo, but I'm not a master. Come with me, I'll take you to the evaluation site."
Ma Xiu Nuo quickly turned around and walked to a different floor while Wang Sheng followed after him.
Shortly after they reached the entrance of a large room.
In the curious eyes of Wang Sheng, the old man opened the door and entered, while explaining the general knowledge about Martial Soul Hall.
Wang Sheng looked inside with surprise, as he stared at the near empty room except for a glowing blue orb with a tree stump beneath it, holding it in place.
Both of them entered the room, and closed the door behind them. Then Ma Xiu Nuo made some hand signs(what are you, Hiruzen?) and injected his soul power into the blue orb, activating the blue orb which shined brightly.
After the orb is activated he takes out a green coloured orb. "Inject your Soul Power into this." He said.
'... What's the need for coming all this way, if you had that thing on you all this time? And what's that big blue orb for? Lighting the room?' Wang Sheng complained in his heart.
Ma Xiu Nuo, seeing the confusion in the boy's eyes, explained with a smile. "The bigger one is used for higher soul power levels and it also functions as a recorder.
It will record the Martial Soul and Soul Power levels and print it on the special paper we have."
Wang Sheng, understanding the significance of the soul guidance device in front of him, opened his mouth in awe.
After recovering he obediently put his hand on the green colour orb and injected his Soul Power into it. The orb glowed brightly and nearly half of it was filled before stopping.
Ma Xiu Nuo looked at Wang Sheng and said with a puzzled look on his face
"Level 14, not bad. Child, what is your age, and how long has it been since you acquired the soul ring? Why did you wait so long before registering? Do you not know, every Soul Master gets a stipend?"
Wang Sheng looked embarrassed as he felt misunderstood. "Grand pa Xiu Nuo, I'm 11 years old and I only acquired my Soul Ring today."
'Level 14? Is this thing broken? I thought I was level 12?' Wang Sheng thought.
Ma Xiu Nuo looked at the boy with shock and disbelief. "Xiao Wang Sheng, are you joking? Even if you absorbed a 100 year soul ring it's impossible to gain 4 levels."
Wang Sheng shook his head and just summoned his Martial Soul Battle Tiger and his Soul Ring, which looks dark yellow compared to the normal 100 year soul rings which are lighter in colour, signifying its higher age.
Ma Xiu Nuo felt his world view shatter as he looked at the Soul Ring.
"Elder Li, helped me absorb a higher age Soul Ring." Wang Sheng said.
Ma Xiu Nuo snapped back to reality as he heard that name and said. "I see, I see, if that person is involved, it is not a strange thing."
'If The Majestic The Pope herself, ordered not to interfere with this *Elder Li's* plans, I would've really tried my best to recruit this boy.' he thought.
He quickly took out a paper and put it on the blue orb, printed the details of the Soul Power evaluation, wrote the name of the boy, signed his name and gave it to him.
"Take this to the second floor, Si Si will give you the stipend for the month." Ma Xiu Nuo said.
Wang Sheng nodded and bowed lightly to the old man before leaving the room.
'Sigh, I really can't understand her highness.
That Elder Li is truly an incredible talent, so why is he here playing with mud instead of helping her highness in Spirit City?' Ma Xiu Nuo thought, not knowing Elder Li was not a member of the Spirit Hall.
