Wang Sheng quickly went upstairs and was just about to knock on the door when he heard muffled voices coming from the inside.
"Si Si, let's go out to eat, it's almost time to leave, and no one comes around this time anyway." a male voice said.
"Brother Yuntao, please don't disturb me when I'm working." Si Si replied, in a slightly annoyed tone.
The man named Yuntao, undeterred, tried again. "I heard there are new moon cakes on sale today, alas since you don't want to come, we can only enjoy it later." He said.
Si Si who was dealing with paperwork gulped, as she thought about moon cakes and wavered. Seeing this the man continued.
"How about this, if in the next minute no one comes, you will go with me. If someone comes, I…I won't bother you again." He said excitedly at first but then his tone got lower as he hesitated.
Si Si froze hearing his words.
'What do you mean, *I won't bother you again*? Su Yuntao, you dare give up on me? I'd like to see you try.
It's not that I dislike you, it's just that mother said, men don't cherish what they easily get, so I'm trying to be tough with you.
And what's with this childish bet? What if someone really comes in right now? So you really dare to give up on me?' Si Si thought as rage consumed her.
"Fine. If you want to bet that badly, I'll bet as well." She said with an annoyed look on her face.
Su Yuntao, hearing her words felt overjoyed, not realising he stepped on the land mine.
'Si Si, you really have feelings for me, or you would've definitely taken this chance to cut me off.
Now I only hope I can win this bet, or I wouldn't have the face to look for her again.' Su Yuntao thought as he turned his head and stared at the door nervously.

Wang Sheng, who heard everything, felt awkward, standing there.
'I should probably visit in the morning, I have this feeling that something bad will happen if I go in now.' Wang Sheng thought and slowly walked back to the stairs and went back to the first floor.
Ma Xiu Nuo who noticed his actions looked at him puzzled but didn't speak up, it wasn't until a few moments later, when he saw Su Yuntao and Si Si came down he understood and smiled knowingly.
That day, Su Yuntao for the very first time, realised the importance of money as he was dragged everywhere and spent every soul coin he saved up for Si Si.
The next morning an exhausted looking Su Yuntao and the energetic looking Si Si, entered the first floor of Martial Soul Hall.
Ma Xiu Nuo smiled seeing the duo and was about to speak when the door opened again and Wang Sheng walked in.
As Wang Sheng walked inside, he noticed Su Yuntao and Si Si and approached them and asked. "Sister, is sister Si Si here?"
Si Si looked at the boy with confusion and asked, "Why are you looking for her?"
"Yesterday, I overheard her conversation with her boyfriend. I didn't want to interrupt her date, so I left without collecting my stipend." Wang Sheng replied not noticing the odd look the duo gave him.
Su Yuntao turned pale as he realised how close he got to losing his love, while Si Si blushed, thankful for his thoughtfulness and a faint anger at Su Yuntao for creating that bet.
Si Si glared at Su Yuntao and then spoke to Wang Sheng. "Come with me, I'll process your stipend." And walked to the second floor while Wang Sheng and a disponded Su Yuntao followed.
After they left Ma Xiu Nuo couldn't hold back the chuckle he was trying to suppress and laughed for a few moments.
Si Si quickly processed the document and gave him the stipend.
Wang Sheng, still not realising their identity, thanked her and was about to leave when Su Yuntao stopped him, holding his shoulder.
"Brother, thank you for your thoughtfulness, if you need anything in the future don't forget you have a brother here." Su Yuntao said solemnly.
Wang Sheng, not wanting to waste time, just nodded, though he didn't understand what he meant and left.
Wang Sheng reached the first floor and got stopped by Ma Xiu Nuo who was still laughing.
Puzzled yet curious he asked. "Grand pa Ma, is there anything I can help you with?"
"No, child. I stopped you, so I can tell you. The duo you just met are the duo you avoided yesterday." The old man said a he started laughing again.
Wang Sheng felt his mind, which was clouded in confusion, go clear for a second as he realised what the old man meant.
'So, I basically confessed to eavesdropping to the very party to which I eavesdropped on and I got favoured instead of getting scolded?
Well it's kind of confusing but still a happy event nonetheless.' Wang Sheng thought with a smile on his face, then thanked the old man and quickly made his way to Hanrui's quarters.
Hanrui, who was waiting for him outside, noticed his arrival and took him to the carriage after a brief conversation, before boarding.
After the carriage travelled outside the Notting City, Hanrui called out to Wang Sheng who was watching the scenery outside.
"Wang Sheng."
Wang Sheng turned around and looked at Hanrui and responded.
"Yes, Elder Li." With respect in his tone.
"I haven't told you my real identity yet, Elder Li is just a disguise i use to not draw too much attention.
My real identity, is a bit special." Hanrui said.
'As i thought, Elder Li, isn't simple. At first i thought he was a young master from a noble family from another city but, his behaviour made me doubt my own thoughts.
I guess he believes me now and wants to reveal his identity.' Wang Sheng thought, as his hands trembled in excitement, while paying rapt attention to Hanrui's words.
"I'm Wu Hanrui. Son of Duke Wu Tian and the grandson of the Warrior Princess, Xue Li.
And the newly Conferred Prince TianLong." Hanrui said as he removed the disguise and smiled at Wang Sheng, who had his mouth open, in shock.
