Chapter 160 - Chapter 159 No More Fighting, What's the Point!

Clark looked at the tragically dead Soldiers around him, somewhat unable to comprehend.

"Why? Why would you even kill your own people?"

But Orm didn't answer his question. He continued to twist the silver trident on the control panel.

The gravity field began to constrict, concentrating all energy on him, pressing him directly deep into the seabed.

It would be difficult for Superman to emerge for a while, but at this point, Orm needed to make a choice: continue, or immediately withdraw the Army and regroup?

This man didn't seem so easy to deal with; the Surface's technology, in contrast, was not worth mentioning.

Orm was more inclined to continue. He couldn't allow his first war to end in such a anticlimactic manner.

But because of his stubbornness, they quickly lost the best time to retreat.

Just as the Atlantis Army advanced to the coast, Dane had already returned to the Surface World with Arthur and the others.

Cortana, who had been monitoring the globe, quickly informed him of what was happening near Metropolis.

"Orm's Army has begun its move. He has chosen Metropolis as his landing site."

"Metropolis?" Arthur asked in surprise, "Isn't that Superman's territory?"

Is this young brother too bold, daring to attack Superman's city?

Atlanna and Vulko weren't familiar with Superman and didn't quite understand why Arthur was surprised. Was Superman a very powerful lord?

Mera also wasn't sure, but ever since she met Dane, she knew that Surface people were definitely not as weak as they had always believed.

Dane, however, shook his head: "You don't understand him. Most of the time, Superman is very gentle, so under normal circumstances, he rarely uses his full power."

Especially after that battle in the dream, Clark has been restraining himself a lot lately.

He was very afraid that he would accidentally kill innocent people in the Real World, so now he tries to be as careful as possible when acting, never using more than three parts of his strength if a problem can be solved with that much.

This is also why Atlantis felt that while Superman was powerful, they didn't think he was impossible to deal with, but this premise was... "The premise is, don't anger him." Dane looked at them, mainly Atlanna, because Orm was, after all, her biological son.

"If Orm really pisses Superman off, he'll show you his true capabilities... We need to get there immediately!"

...Metropolis, deep beneath the seabed.

Clark raised his head under the pressure of the gravity field, his eyes full of fury.

He could hear, he could see, that in the nearby area, Metropolis citizens had largely escaped the danger zone; only these strange enemies remained.

"Dane said that against an unreasonable enemy, a thunderous blow must be delivered! I think, now should be the time!"

After muttering to himself, Superman suddenly shot upwards, his speed creating a sonic boom cloud, and in just a moment, he ascended into the sky.

"Your Majesty! He's out!"

The technical officer, who had been constantly monitoring Superman, shouted.

"This is impossible!"

Orm wanted to refute immediately. He had expended so much energy, yet he couldn't even suppress the opponent for a few minutes?

And Clark, who had risen into the air, decided to be even more aggressive!

His eyes once again glowed red, and two beams of red light shot out, first destroying the gravity generator.

Then he grabbed a component that had been blown away, not knowing how heavy it was, and casually threw it out, directly piercing a Water vessel.

Orm's face changed dramatically. He hastily ordered: "Everyone, quickly return to the sea!"

The force field generator began to shut down, and the separated Water quickly converged.

But how could Superman, who had already gone berserk, let them off so easily?

He swiftly rushed into the gathering Atlanteans, grabbing Soldiers with even greater force than before, throwing them together to form a small pile of people.

Then he took a deep breath, and exhaled sharply, the cold airflow rapidly freezing the pile of people into an iceberg.

Fighter pilots circling above the battlefield couldn't help but cheer loudly:

"Superman is Superman! Hit them hard! Let those fish-people eat dirt!"

As for the plasma cannon shells fired by the warships, Clark was unfazed.

The Atlanteans were astonished to find that they had once been able to repel this man, but now it was no longer effective.

Orm, who had originally thought Superman couldn't resist magic, also felt incredible, but even more, he felt humiliated. Was his previous appearance entirely a deception?

"Everyone, focus fire on the target immediately!"

Countless beams of light simultaneously converged on Superman, but Clark had already discovered the power rooms of those warships.

His red heat vision directly destroyed the enemy's power source. This time, he no longer cared about enemies who might be harmed by the explosion.

Just as Dane had said, facing an enemy, one must deliver a thunderous blow!

His heat vision was like a tracker; each strike destroyed a warship. In just a few minutes, an entire fleet was destroyed by him alone!

Orm was almost insane. He could accept defeat, but he couldn't accept such a defeat!

He would fight to the death with this enemy before him, with the demeanor befitting a King!

So he raised his trident, intending to fight Superman to the death!

But he quickly stopped, because there was a new development in the field.

In the void, five people suddenly appeared on the battlefield.

Orm recognized some of them: King Nereus's daughter Mera, his personal Guard Vulko, and... he suddenly widened his eyes, his expression somewhat comical.

But the Soldiers around him were no better; they all exclaimed at the same time:

"Queen Atlanna!"

Dane looked at the battlefield before him, marveling... Superman truly was Superman. Once he got serious, he alone was a disaster.

Orm's downfall was his arrogance; he didn't inquire about the situation beforehand before acting. Now he's in trouble, isn't he?

He looked at the several people beside him who were stunned, and gently reminded them: "Queen Atlanna, if you don't speak now, the Atlantis Army might soon be annihilated."

Atlanna immediately jolted, instantly sobering up.

She quickly raised her five-pronged trident, which shone with dazzling light, instantly attracting everyone's attention on the battlefield.

Clark naturally noticed it too, but when he turned his head, the red light in his eyes had not yet dissipated, looking as if he had gone berserk.

Atlanna couldn't help but hold her breath, even forgetting the words she was about to say.

But Clark flew down with a look of pleasant surprise, grabbing Dane's arm.

"Dane! How did you get here?"

Cough, cough—!

Dane's eyes were stern, "How many times have I told you, outside, call me Shazam! Is your super brain just for show?"

His unceremonious tone startled the others. Except for Arthur, who knew Shazam was the Justice League boss, the others were unaware of their relationship.

But what surprised them was that the man, after being reprimanded, didn't get angry; he just scratched the back of his head sheepishly, a complete contrast to his imposing demeanor on the battlefield just moments ago.

It was then that Dane introduced the Atlanteans beside him.

"This big guy is Superman. You can think of him as the Guardian of this city, and also a member of the Justice League."

Then he introduced the Atlanteans to Clark:

"These people are the peace faction within Atlantis. They are here to stop Orm... that is, the leader of the Army behind you."

Clark's expression turned serious upon hearing this, "Can they stop that man?"

He could indeed hear some sounds from inside the warships, but there were too many people giving orders, and he didn't know which one to target, so he resorted to the clumsy method of taking everyone out at once.

This was also to implement Dane's philosophy of dealing with enemies: first give them a warning, but this "warning" was a bit too grand, almost scaring the Atlanteans to death!

"Please give me a moment."

Atlanna's tone was very respectful, and of course, she dared not be disrespectful, even if the other party seemed easier to talk to than Dane.

So she once again tapped the ground with her five-pronged trident, emitting a flash-screen-like light.

"I am Queen Atlanna! Now, I command all Atlanteans to immediately cease attack and lay down your weapons!"

The remaining Atlantean Soldiers quickly threw down their weapons. When they couldn't inflict any effective attack on the enemy and had suffered heavy losses themselves, few still had the courage to fight.

Queen Atlanna had already offered a way out; what were they waiting for?
