At Garcia Mansion,
"Welcome, Miss Clara. I've been waiting for you. How's your journey?" Reinhard welcoming Clara nicely.
"Not too bad, Mr. Reinhard. Thank you for inviting me. I'm sorry 'cause I don't have proper clothes."
"Doesn't mind! Why you should think a lot about that!" Reinhard snapped his fingers and several female servants soon arrived.
"Take Miss Clara to the room I have prepared! Miss Clara, go with them, I have prepared everything you need there."
"What do you mean, Mr. Reinhard?" Clara was stunned.
"Just go with them and you'll find out," he smiled broadly.
Clara doesn't have any other options yet follow Reinhard's words. When the servants open the white big door, she stunned because the room so big and have several wardrobes.
"Come, Miss. Please have a sit down. We will make sure you are served well," said one the servant.
"What do you mean served well?" Clara looks confused, she still don't understand what's going on exactly.
"Mr Reinhard told us to serve the most important guest tonight. No mistakes or we will get fired."
"I see. Okay, but let me clean up my body firstly."
The servants nodded. Clara starts to clean up her body whole thinking what her next plan if she meets with Arthur.
'I couldn't imagine how embarrassing I am to meet him. Arthur Volkskrant ... the heir, successor and CEO Ruby Hotel. If I could take back my family inheritance, I would have life wealth and prosperity. I must take it back! All of it!'
"Sorry to keep you waiting, Mr. Reinhard."
Clara descended the stairs wearing a black dress with golden lace and black heels with bold red lines. Her bold makeup with smokey eyes added to Clara Delevon's sexy and mysterious look.
"Isn't she beautiful?" said Mr. Reinhard with a happy smile.
Arthur did not immediately respond to his grandfather's compliment. The handsome man's eyes were cold and harsh, and when Clara descended the stairs, Arthur immediately turned his face away. Clara just smirked and further heated up the atmosphere.
"Thank you for the compliment, Mr. Reinhard. But it seems that someone is not happy with my presence here," she said, glancing at Arthur.
"Ahem! How dare you turn your face away when my guest is here!" scolded her grandfather.
Inevitably, Arthur turned his face towards Clara. The woman smiled and waved. "It's nice to see you again, Mr. Arthur."
'Sly woman! What other tricks will she use to ensnare Grandfather! I won't stand idly by! This time I have to stop her!'
"You look very handsome tonight," Clara complimented.
"Thank you!" Arthur replied coldly.
"Enough... enough, let's enjoy dinner tonight. Arthur, you can't go anywhere after this! You have to accompany Miss Clara because she is a special guest in this house!"
"What? But I already have an appointment—"
"With Cindy? That materialistic woman!? How many times have I told you that she's not the right woman for you! She only wants the Garcia family's wealth! Why are you still so stubborn, huh!" Grandpa coughed until his heavy breathing could be heard.
"Mr. Reinhard, control your emotions. Don't let your anger get the better of you." Clara gently stroked the 60-year-old man's chest.
"You sly fox! You're very good at winning over my grandfather!"
"Leave it to me!" Arthur stood up and pushed Clara away roughly.
"What a rude man! Is he still resentful because I rejected his love?"
"All right. Mr. Reinhard, you have a very caring grandson!" Clara glanced sharply at Arthur sarcastically.
The grandfather smiled thinly and mediated their argument. "I'm hungry, can we enjoy this delicious dinner?"
The three of them enjoyed a very luxurious dinner. Clara and Mr. Reinhard talked to each other with laughter and familiarity, while Arthur felt left out. He tried to enjoy the dinner, but the longer he ate, the more bland the food tasted, especially since the grandfather seemed to pay more attention to Clara than to him, his real grandson.
"I'm done!" Arthur stood up.
"Where are you going? Sit down!" the grandfather ordered.
"Sorry, Grandpa. I have important business at the office and really can't stay." Arthur quickly left without saying goodbye to Clara.
"Arthur! Arthur!" shouted Grandpa. "That boy! I think I'll have to teach him a lesson when he gets home!"
"Don't take it to heart, Mr. Reinhard. We both know what Arthur is like." Clara smiled, but it was a mysterious smile.
"You're right, Miss Clara. But still! You are the guest of honor tonight! How could that boy just leave like that! I'm sure he went to meet that materialistic woman!" growled Grandpa.
"Cindy, isn't that Arthur's girlfriend's name?" Clara asked suddenly.
"Yes! But I never considered her to exist, and I will never approve of their relationship!" said Reinhard angrily.
Clara nodded slowly. She had never met this woman named Cindy, but she knew very well how to keep a woman like Cindy away from Arthur.
"Mr. Reinhard, don't worry, Arthur and his girlfriend won't last long."
"How? Do you have a way to separate them, Miss Clara?" Reinhard looked enthusiastic.
"There's always a way, Mr. Reinhard... always a way!" Clara smirked.
'Because I'm certain this woman named Cindy is only interested in a man's outward appearance!'
"I entrust Arthur completely to you, Miss Clara, because I want to see you both standing together at the altar before I die." Reinhard held Clara's hand... warmly. It was a touch of affection that Clara had not felt in a long time, since her parents had died in an accident whose cause was still unknown.
"If your parents were still alive, they would be happy if you married Arthur," added Reinhard.
Clara frowned. "Why is that, Mr. Reinhard? Did they leave a will?"
Reinhard let go of her hand, adjusted his glasses, and sighed deeply.
"Actually, ever since you were children... no, even when you were still in the womb, the Garcia and Delevon families made an agreement."
"What agreement, sir?" Clara asked curiously.
"By a certain age, you and Arthur must marry because that is a requirement that must be met if you want to become heirs to your family's fortune."
"What?" Clara's eyes widened in disbelief. "Don't joke around, Mr. Reinhard! This isn't funny at all!"
"It does sound crazy! But that's the truth," explained Reinhard. "I think I still have a copy of the agreement made by the Garcia and Delevon families."
"Can I see it, sir?"
"I don't have it, but my lawyer does. Tomorrow I'll take you to the office and you can see it for yourself."
Clara nodded. She wanted to see and read it with her own eyes. If it was true, then she would have no choice but to marry Arthur, whether he liked it or not.
'If it's true, I have to convince Arthur to marry me!'
