Catherine's POV
"So did we have sex last night ?" I asked, the question caught him unprepared and his brows slowly pulled together in a frown.
"I prefer my partners to be in the right state of mind before doing that, and you weren't judging by the way you threw yourself into that tub of hot water without thinking." He replied and it was my turn to get shocked. I stared back at him with wide eyes.
I did all that?Can he at least preserve my dignity without saying all that in front of me?
"I believe everything I said is clear enough". He said and met my gaze.
His stare made my cheeks heat up in embarrassment. I looked away, unable to hold his gaze.
"I will be having a guest later in the day". He announced and walked away.
"A guest?"
Well, that's new. Let's see who it will be.
A few hours later, just before dinner was served, I decided to take a stroll to the garden. I had just walked down the stairs when I saw her.
