Catherine's POV
I was relieved to have finally found sleep after turning the pillows around me countless times but that sleep was snatched away when a loud knock sounded on my door.
I ignored it at first thinking it was my ears playing tricks on me but I heard it again, for the second and on the third time I rushed off the bed.
The house must be on fire for someone to be knocking on my door this way, what greeted me wasn't fire but Gerald smelling like he had been marinated in a pool of alcohol.
He retched and looked like he was about to throw up. I moved out of the way so that he wouldn't do it on me but he walked past me into the room.
I closed the door and helped him towards the bathroom, it would be a complete mess if he should do it on the room floor.
He rested all his weight on me and I was holding back from snapping at him. And we both had a risk of falling to the ground.
"What are we doing here?" He asked suddenly when we got into the bathroom.
