Iris:
"Those people have been nothing but horrible to you. Why would you even think about this? Just let them go, and do not intervene. Let those people out of our lives. We already have so much going on," she advised harshly.
I pouted and nodded my head innocently, as if I truly did not understand.
As Lara walked away, I shook my head in disbelief at her. I returned to my room, and the rest of the day passed in silence.
At dinner, we all came together once again. As we sat at the table, I noticed Lara smiling to herself.
"Mother, I will be heading south for the crowning tomorrow. They have invited all of you, but I think it would be better if I go alone, finish it quickly, and return," Kash broke the silence, speaking to his mother.
She had been smiling until he mentioned they would not be going with him.
"It is your crowning, and every mother wants to be there to see her son get crowned. Are you going to take this from us?" his mother complained, clearly upset.
