I didn't know why he had to come so close just to speak to me. I heard him chuckle and then step back.
"Next time, if I find anyone flirting in my company, there will be consequences. Let's stay professional," he muttered, finally letting the elevator door open as he stepped aside and let me walk out.
I didn't waste a second. I hurried to my office, stormed inside, and shut the door behind me.
Leaning against it, I took a few deep breaths and noticed beads of sweat forming around my temples.
