Chapter 273 - Super Avengers

Well, although Stephen Strange was inwardly complaining, he actually agreed with Peter's suggestion.

Because he roughly understood from Peter's description that the Spider-Men Peter could find were likely those who could stand alone in their own universes.

Of course, as a mature Sorcerer Supreme and superhero, Stephen Strange wouldn't put all his hopes on these people from other universes who hadn't even arrived yet.

Peter also just realized what Stephen Strange's real purpose was this time.

It turned out that when Stephen Strange sensed the multiverse crisis, he had an idea: he wanted to form a "Super Avengers" team.

That is, to gather some of the most powerful beings to form a super force to protect this world.

And although Stephen Strange had a camaraderie with Stark and the others, to put it bluntly, that was all there was, and they weren't particularly close overall.

So, he decided to find Peter and have him act as a go-between, a middleman.

As for the Super Avengers members…

The initial list includes the following individuals:

"Doctor Strange" Stephen Strange, "Spider-Man" Peter Parker, "Iron Man" Tony Stark, "Dr. Hulk" Bruce Banner, "Thor" Thor, "Captain America" Steve Rogers, "Black Panther" T'Challa, and "Ant-Man" Scott Lang.

Eight members to start should be sufficient.

According to Stephen Strange, the Super Avengers should focus on quality over quantity.

Moreover, his selection of members was quite particular.

Stephen Strange, the "Sorcerer Supreme," represents the protective force of the mystical realm on Earth. Behind him is a large group of dozens of high-level Sorcerers, Sorcerers, and Sorcerer apprentices.

They can unleash extremely powerful forces when needed.

Take the recent Infinity War, for example. They could open portals in the far reaches of space with their power.

According to Stephen Strange's account.

A major reason they won this Infinity War was because they caught Thanos off guard.

On the original Sacred Timeline, Thanos had already collected four Infinity Stones when he arrived on Earth.

But this time, thanks to Peter's early warning and the assistance of the Sorcerers, they managed to confront him when he only had two Infinity Stones, and after he had just fought a battle with the Nova Corps on Xandar.

It can be said that Thanos and his Black Order were at their weakest at this point.

The further along, the stronger they got.

Peter doesn't need to be mentioned. Not only does he have a track record, but he also has connections and is the young generation's leader, handpicked by Iron Man.

The Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, and Captain America who followed were all founding members of the Avengers, seasoned warriors.

Moreover, both Iron Man and Hulk possessed brilliant minds, representing the technological side of this world.

Thor possessed powerful martial abilities, as well as the power of the Asgardian remnants.

Captain America possessed leadership.

Black Panther represented the power of Wakanda, one of the only two countries on Earth with Vibranium, and was also a representative of the technological field.

"Why only two? Is there another place that also has a large amount of Vibranium?" Peter asked curiously.

Stephen Strange nodded, "Actually, when that Vibranium meteorite fell, two pieces fell down. One fell in Africa, which later gradually formed the Kingdom of Wakanda; the other fell in the Atlantic Ocean, forming a marine kingdom."

"Atlantis?" Peter immediately thought of this legendary oceanic kingdom.

"Well, you could understand it that way," Stephen Strange said, "but its name is Talokan, and it's not a kingdom forced to sink to the bottom of the sea, but one that actively chose to be built in the ocean. The Talokan people are descendants of the Mayans, who fled to the bottom of the sea to avoid the colonial invasions of the 18th and 19th centuries."

"The King of Talokan is called Namor, and he's a Mutant," Stephen Strange said.

"A Mutant? We have Mutants in this world too?" Peter asked, confused. "I thought that was a thing over with the X-Men."

"Of course, we do," Stephen Strange said, a bit exasperated. "Not to mention, Wanda and her deceased brother, Pietro, you know them, are actually Mutants. Their Mutant genes were stimulated and developed by the Mind Stone, and that's how they gained their current power."

"Come to think of it, why do you have T'Challa and Scott on your list, but not Wanda and Vision? They're quite powerful too," Peter wondered.

Stephen Strange shook his head slightly. "Wanda's power comes from Chaos Magic, and it's very unpredictable. So, I figured, it's best to have Vision with her as much as possible, to keep her from causing any trouble."

"Oh," Peter understood.

In other words, Wanda was essentially a time bomb, and Stephen Strange was worried she might blow up one day, so he just had Vision free to keep an eye on her.

This way, at least, there wouldn't be an unnecessary problem.

"Well, I suppose you're right."

Stephen Strange continued, "Namor's Mutant ability gives him wings on his feet, allowing him to fly."

"Huh? Is he like, a triple threat? A little unfair, isn't it?" Peter Parker quipped.

"In terms of strength, he's probably about on par with Black Panther, not exceptionally strong, but his amphibious abilities do make him very versatile. And like Wakanda, Talokan also possesses a significant amount of Vibranium technology," Stephen Strange said.

Peter Parker stroked his chin, an idea forming in his mind. "So, could we take the initiative and try to recruit this Namor? Get him on our side?"

Stephen Strange shook his head slightly. "I don't think so. Talokan is like Wakanda used to be, maybe even more extreme. They have a strict policy of isolation, absolutely refusing contact with the outside world."

"Alright, then let's just keep an eye on them, make sure they don't cause any trouble," Peter Parker nodded helplessly, a little disappointed.

This Talokan sounded like a decent asset.

But since the other party didn't want to contact the outside world, going there uninvited would only cause unpleasantness.

At that point, they might not be able to win them over, and instead, gain another enemy, which would be even more troublesome.

It's better to let nature take its course.

Anyway, the Sorcerers could always "watch" them.

Stephen Strange nodded: "I'll have a high-level Sorcerer take care of this."

As for Ant-Man, Stephen Strange said that Scott had a grasp of the Quantum Realm's power, and they needed to keep him under control to restrain that power.

Because according to the ancient books of the Sorcerers, the Quantum Realm wasn't a good place, and there were things inside that could potentially destroy the world!
