Chapter 5 - Your Talent Is Mine

[Without any hesitation, you revealed to Mathew and Lucas that you awakened a second innate talent, which was a red-grade talent called "Zero Paradox".]

[In reality, it's the life simulator system you disguised as an awakened talent. Since no one had awakened a red-grade talent and you already showed possession of a gold-grade talent, your fabrication will become the truth as long as no one proves it otherwise.]

[You bluffed that due to the nature of red-grade talents, you couldn't display the talent information for it. However, you did reveal that its talent description is "A paradoxical authority that erases the boundary between present and future. The user becomes the zero point of causality, able to rewrite what will be into what is".]

[And to prove your point, you revealed the talent descriptions of Eye of Insight (Gold), Sword Master (Blue), and Water Generation (Green).]

[After you showed them your talent descriptions, even the cautious and rational Mathew had no choice but to believe it. After all, it was proof that this wasn't your first usage of your Zero Paradox, as you already traded talents from other future timelines.]

[Seeing that both Mathew and Lucas believed you, you then pointed out that Mathew's talent could be kept by him, as it would cost you too much stamina if you take all of their talents and do all the work.]

[So, you planned to trade the Water Generation (Green) talent to Lucas in exchange for his Wanderer Of The Void (Orange) talent. So that you could use Lucas's talent to go to those resource points and see if there are any supplies useful for them.]

[Knowing your intentions, Lucas trusted and believed you, so he didn't hesitate to trade his talent to your Water Generation (Green) talent.]

[The trade was successful, and you now possess Wander Of The Void (Orange). Lucas was now in charge of generating water, while you would deal with resource gathering.]

Before the simulation text could continue, Gabriel decided, as he declared in his mind, "System, I'll enter immersive simulation."

Although the simulated self achieved what he had planned before even the start of the life simulation, Gabriel wanted to ensure the margin of error would be minimized, so he decided to do it himself.

He planned to treat life simulation as scouting the future, or even the present, but with the ability to go back in time to his save point after his death, with the added benefit of retaining a portion of his future power.

Anyway, past, present, and future were merely labels based on perspective. The future is the present to those who live in it, with the present being the past. Same with the people from the past viewing the present as the future.

-Ding!

[Entering immersive simulation..]

In the blink of an eye, Gabriel found that time no longer stopped, but he was brought into the life simulation.

He could still access the life simulator system's basic features despite being in the simulation, such as the system inventory and status screen.

He decided to check his status screen.

-Ding!

[Name: Gabriel Ashford

Age: 19

Physique: 8

Spirit: 14

Talents: Talent Trade (Gold), Eye of Insight (Gold), Sword Master (Blue), Wanderer Of The Void (Orange)]

According to the system, as well as the dormitory survival game, the limit for humans in both Physique and Spirit was 10. The average would be 5.

The Physique stat attribute included Strength, Endurance, Vitality, Speed, Dexterity, and any physical-based stat attribute.

On the other hand, Spirit stat attribute covered Mental Fortitude, Willpower, Sanity, and Mental Energy.

'If I'm not mistaken, my Spirit attribute increased beyond the human limit mostly due to possessing more than one talent.'

'Although the increase isn't that much, it's still important as it reduced my burden on stamina and mental energy cost for using my talents.'

With those thoughts in his mind, Gabriel commanded, "Mathew, assist Lucas while he's busy with generating water and trading the water with other students using the Dormitory Survival Game's trading feature."

"You majored in Engineering, so your Minister of Defense talent will be put to good use. Ensure that while I'm away, no one will break into our dormitory."

"Lucas can handle the trading. But if anyone dared to covet the resources we acquired from trading, such as Damien and his group, then send me a private message and I'll return as soon as possible."

After giving Mathew some instructions and receiving his nod, Gabriel shifted his attention to Lucas, who was busy generating water and then placing it inside his inventory.

Players have an inventory with ten slots, and those ten slots could hold an infinite quantity of that given item. However, it's not truly infinite storage as only ten slots can be possessed by players at this phase.

Fortunately, it did allow Lucas to store an infinite amount of water in one of his inventory slots.

Gabriel wasn't worried about letting Lucas deal with the trading matters, as while Lucas was often hot-headed and impulsive, he had majored in Business, unlike Gabriel, who had majored in Creative Writing.

Both he and Mathew were laymen in business, while Lucas not only majored in it, but also had a wealthy background.

Anyway, he wasn't worried about letting Lucas deal with it. So after informing Lucas to focus on securing food as well as weapons, preferably a sword, Gabriel opened the window.

Dorm 69 was located on the third floor. If Gabriel jumped, then he'd be disabled due to only having 8 in Physique.

Nevertheless, he leaped from the third floor fearlessly.

Just as he was about to plummet towards the ground, he immediately used Wanderer Of The Void (Orange) to step on the air and perform a double jump.

Landing on the ground safely, Gabriel inwardly commented, 'Lucas's talent sure is useful. If I get a good score in this simulation, I have to inherit this to the real world.'

Surveying his surroundings, Gabriel noticed that the farthest part of the school campus was covered by crimson mist.

Using his Eye of Insight (Gold), Gabriel gazed at the crimson mist.

[Name: Forgotten Crimson Mist]

[Description: A crimson mist formed from the crimson blood moonlight, obscuring the restricted and unexplored areas of the Crimson Moon World.

It obscures normal means of vision, and if exposed for even a short moment, it will cause memory loss. The greater the exposure, the higher the degree of memory loss.]
