Chapter 64 - Dancing in the rain

Jay's POV

I was sitting in the exam hall, writing the answers to the questions.

I was on the last question, and finally, it was finished."Hffff," I breathed a sigh of relief.

It went well—I had written answers to more than half the questions.

I hadn't thought I would do so well in the exam after studying for just one day.

(A few days of holidays followed.)

After a while, the teacher handed back the answer sheets.

Everyone got up and went out, and finally, I stepped out.

I started looking for Keifer when suddenly Ci-n appeared from somewhere and hugged me happily.

"Did your exam go well?" I asked.

"Yeah, always," he replied.

"Where is everyone else?" I asked.

"They just left college a little while ago. They asked me to call you, so I came," he replied.

"Ok, let's go," I said.

"Wait, wait, what's that?" he asked.

"What?" I replied.

"On your lips," he said.

"Ohh, it's just because of the fork. Yesterday I got a small wound while eating," I explained.

"But I didn't see it while eating," he said, giving me a spy-like look.

"Leave it, let's go," I said, pulling him along with me.

(Flashback)

"So…" he said with a smirk.

"So what?" I asked, confused.

[Profanity], he replied, raising his eyebrows.

"And when did I say that?" I asked, keeping my hands on my waist.

"Yesterday, do you remember?" he asked.

"I didn't say anything," I protested.

"Ohh, don't lie to me. I know you remember," he replied, taking a step closer.

"Is this all you have to do? Can't you do anything else?" I asked irritably.

"Should I do something else?" he asked.

"I didn't mean that. I mean—don't you have any other work to do?" I replied in frustration.

"I do the work that I like, and this is my favourite thing to do," he said, bringing his face closer.

(I couldn't reply.) I was still.

As his lips touched mine, they started moving—like tasting my lips.

I didn't do anything. I couldn't.

He took my hands and placed them on his shoulders.

"Keifer, maybe we should go," I said.

"There's still time. Why the hurry to leave, huh?" he replied.

No answer came to my mind, so I stayed quiet.

My fingers got tangled in his hair. Suddenly, he grabbed my neck from behind and pressed our lips together.

Slowly, slowly, the kiss deepened. When we finally parted, I gasped,

"When you're hungry, don't you eat anything else?"

"But I like eating you more," he replied.

Again, the kiss grew hotter, deeper, hungrier.

Suddenly, someone knocked on the door from outside.

We quickly separated. He walked over to the door and opened it.

"Didn't you guys see the time? Come on, it's late!" Rory said hurriedly.

I quickly grabbed my bag, which was on the couch.

I came out and started walking toward the stairs.

(Flashback ends)

As we stepped outside,

"Jay, I'm coming in a few minutes, okay?" Ci-n said.

"But where are you going?" I asked.

"I'm coming. You go," he replied, then left.

Then, a few drops of water fell on my hand.Suddenly, it started raining.

I put my bag on top of my head and started running toward the bus stop. Only Keifer was there.

When I got there, Keifer approached me and asked,"You haven't gotten wet, right?"

"Yeah," I replied.

"Where's everyone?" I asked.

"They all have gone to the nearby shop to buy some snacks," he replied.

We fell silent.

It was raining, with a cold breeze. When a few drops of water fell on my face, it felt really nice.

I handed my bag to Keifer, then ran off to play in the rain.

"Jay, don't," Keifer warned.

I just ignored him and started shaking my hair in the rainwater.

I spun around in the middle of the empty road. There was no one else—just me and him.

I was lost in my own world when suddenly he came, grabbed my waist with one hand, and held my hand with the other.

And then, he started dancing with me.

"Hey, why did you come?" I asked while dancing.

"I felt like it," he replied.

We both enjoyed the rain while dancing.

"Have you ever danced in the rain like this?" I asked him.

"No, never before," he replied.

"Now see how much fun this is," I said.

"No, there's no fun in the rain. The fun is only if you're here when it's raining," he replied.

"You're really flirty," I said, rolling my eyes.

"Only when you're around," he replied.

I started feeling a little shy from the way he was talking to me. I began blushing.

"You look beautiful when you blush," he commented.

"Ahh, stop this," I replied irritably.

"Stop what?" he asked.

Slowly, the rain started to subside.

Suddenly, I sneezed.

"Hey, do you have a cold?" he asked, pulling me with him toward the bus stop.

The rain had stopped.

I sat on the bench, and he sat beside me.

"Look, you've caught a cold now," he said, brushing my wet hair away from my face.

Then I heard,"Jay…!" Ci-n shouted, running toward us.

Everyone arrived where Keifer and I were sitting.

"What happened? Why are you both wet?" David asked.
