Jay's POV
Much time had passed while we were studying, and we didn't even realize that it was already 6 o'clock.
"Do you think they will come here?" I asked.
"Yeah, obviously. They said they would come straight here," he replied.
"I wanted to go to Papa's home today to surprise him, but I don't think I can go," I murmured.
"I wanted to go to Papa, but I can't. We have to do group studies today. I want to see Layla too; she's a little older now."
"Don't worry. You can go to your Papa after the exams tomorrow," he replied.
"Hmmm," I murmured with a nod.
Suddenly, someone knocked on the door.
"May I come in, Sir?" a maid asked from the doorway.
"Yeah," I replied before he could.
"Sorry, Sir, for the disturbance, but your friends have arrived," the maid said, then left.
"Ohh, they arrived," I said to myself while walking towards the door.
I quickly went downstairs straight into the hall.
"Ohhhh, guys! You all came! I'm happy to see you after a day," I said, hugging Ci-n.
"Aah, Jay! Nice to see you too," he replied back.
Then I hugged everyone, one by one.
"So, you guys must be tired, right?" I asked.
"Yeah, but not really. For now, we have to focus, so we'll ignore that," Yuri replied.
"Won't you guys ask us if we want something to eat or drink?" Drew asked.
"Ohhh, what do you guys want? Coffee, juice, or something to eat?" Keifer asked.
"We don't need anything to eat right now. Just juice or coffee," David replied.
"Okay," Keifer replied, calling a maid and ordering coffee.
(We all sat on the couch.)
"So, guys, have you looked for an apartment to rent again?" Keifer asked.
"Nah," Josh replied.
"So where are you guys going to stay?" I asked.
They exchanged glances, then Yuri turned to us and started explaining.
"Look, it's just a matter of a few days, and then we'll go back to the Philippines, so…"
"So what?" Keifer and I asked at the same time.
"We're going to stay here… at Keifer's place," they all answered at the same time.
"Really?" he asked.
"Yeah," David replied.
"Ahhh… they too? I'll have to suffer," Keifer murmured.
"What?" Ci-n asked.
He stopped.
"Nothing," Keifer replied.
The two servants brought the coffees on a tray.
"Sir," they said, offering the coffee.
Everyone took the cups one by one.
(The servants left with the empty tray.)
"So, how many days are you guys going to stay?" Keifer asked.
"Just for one and a half months. You?" Yuri asked.
"I'm going to stay here for at least two months because of my business work," Keifer replied.
"And Jay, you?" he asked me.
"I haven't thought about it yet," I replied.
"Leave these things. There are exams tomorrow. Don't you guys have to study?"
"Oh yeah, we don't have much time," Yuri replied.
"Okay, so where should we study?" David asked.
"There's a big guest room. Let's study there," Keifer replied.
"Okay, and where do we keep our luggage?" Rory asked.
"The servants will take care of these things," Keifer replied.
(In the guest room)
We were all sitting on a big curved sofa, checking the notes to see what would be important.
Everyone was studying according to their streams.
"Guys, today we have to study with full concentration. We only have today, so we don't stop—we have to keep moving forward," I told them, trying to speed up the pace.
"Ohh, let's see," Ci-n taunted.
I ignored him, focusing on my notes.
After 4 hours…
"Aaaaa…" I yawned.
"Look, who's sleepy now," Ci-n commented.
"I was just yawning," I replied.
After a while, I started feeling a little sleepy. I ignored it at first, focusing on the books.
"Guys, excuse me," I excused myself.
"Where are you going?" Keifer asked.
"Just the washroom," I replied.
(He simply nodded.)
I quickly left the guest room and walked toward Keifer's room.
As I got there, I went straight to the bathroom.
When I came out, my eyes landed on the bed. Seeing it, I started feeling sleepy again.
It was calling me, and that's why I was feeling drowsy.
I jumped onto the bed, feeling comfortable.
"Ahh, it's soft and comfortable," I murmured.
My vision started to blur, and darkness began spreading all around.
…
See you in the next one.
