Jay's POV
When I came back to London, Kuya Angelo also came with me to stay with us for a few days.
That's why I couldn't tell Keifer and my friends.
My phone is with Kuya. When he goes back to the Philippines, he will give my phone back to me before leaving.
As soon as I get my phone back, I'll tell Keifer what happened there.
Flashback
"Jay, your mother's health is very bad. You need to come to the Philippines soon," Angelo said.
"What? How did this happen?" I asked.
"Your mother had a small accident, which caused her a minor injury.
Tomorrow, you have to come to the Philippines. And yes, don't tell anyone — come directly to the Philippines.
Otherwise, I'll arrange for your transfer here, and I won't let you live with your father.
I know that you and Keifer are still together," he said threateningly.
"Okay, I'll come to the Philippines tomorrow," I said, and then I cut the call.
Jay's Father's POV
I was sitting in my room, checking some office files, when Jay came in and sat on the couch beside me. She looked upset, and soon she started crying.
"Why are you crying, sweetie?" I asked calmly.
"Papa, Kuya Angelo said that I have to go to the Philippines tomorrow because Mumma's health isn't good," she answered.
"How did all this happen?" I asked.
"She had an accident," Jay replied softly.
"How?" I asked again.
"Leave that for now. I'll tell you later. Listen to me, Papa — Kuya said that he knows I'm still with Keifer, and if I tell anyone that I'm going to the Philippines, he'll make sure I get transferred there permanently," she said, trembling.
"But why?" I asked, confused.
"I don't know, but don't tell anyone. I'll come back and explain everything to everyone," she answered.
Okay sweetie, but what if Keifer asked? I asked.
I will come and tell him everything later, she answered.
Now I'm going to pack my clothes for tomorrow to go to the Philippines, she said and left the room.
Next day...
I got up early in the morning and got ready because my flight was in the morning.
I quickly grabbed my stuff and tickets, then I got out of the house after saying goodbye to my father.
I was sad that I did not tell Keifer anything, but I would explain everything to him later.
And then I left for my flight.
In the Philippines,
"What happened? Where is Mumma?" I asked Angelo as soon as I reached home.
Then suddenly Mumma came and hugged me. "Jay, I missed you very much," she said while hugging me.
"Mumma, you're fine! Angelo said that you got injured," I said questioningly.
Then Mumma spoke nervously.
"Angelo wants to send you to New York," she said.
"But why?" I asked.
"Because even after choosing your father, you are still with Keifer," she said.
"But why?" I asked again, and tears started falling from my eyes.
"Because you have suffered so much, and if you stay with him, you will be in more danger because he has many enemies," Mumma answered.
"But—" I was about to say something when Angelo interrupted.
"What I said will be the same. Now go to your room!" he yelled.
As soon as I came to my room, I closed the door and started crying on my bed.

After a while, Angelo came to me and said, "Let's go to the café to eat something."
Both of us came out of the house, sat in the car, and went to find a café. We saw one just a short distance away, so we went there.
We sat at a table, gave our order to the waiter, and then started talking.
"Kuya, when will you give me my phone?" I asked.
"Before going home tomorrow," he answered.
"Can I go to New York only after finishing my college here?" I asked.
"So, what will be the meaning of going then?" he said.
"Please, Kuya, please... please," I begged him. Then he said—
