He stared. And stared.
Then he finally opened his mouth.
"Well…" he began, pausing far too long, as if every word weighed a ton. "It… looks like… something."
Dead silence.
Four pairs of eyes snapped to him. All unimpressed.
Amy slowly turned her head, her glare sharp enough to cut diamonds. "It looks like something?" she repeated, voice flat as ice.
Olaedo raised a brow, unimpressed.
One assistant let out a quiet tsk.
The other muttered, "Men," with all the judgment in the world.
Chibuzor's shoulders slumped. Every life choice that brought him here suddenly felt tragic. "I meant, it looks great," he hurriedly added, lifting his hands in defense. "Very… dress like."
Amy blinked at him. "Wow. You've got a real gift for words."
The sarcastic applause that followed was just icing on the awkward cake.
Olaedo bit the inside of her cheek, struggling to keep a laugh in check. This is the man people fear in boardrooms? she thought. Really?
