Arthur grinned wickedly, slicing his blade through a nightmare creature, only for another one to take its place. Hacking and slicing, Arthur killed and killed. He had found something of a nest for small bird-like creatures. They were just awakened beasts, so it wasn't difficult to take them out.
However, their numbers posed quite a challenge.
And so Arthur was now laughing like a maniac, he now was, blasting destruction whichever way.
And soon there was nothing left of a life but himself.
Arthur took a couple of the creature's corpses after collecting all the shards and walked off to his new home. An hour later, he was walking through the dark city, avoiding any creatures with his hatred sense. And then he saw something abnormal, a person fighting what looked to be a moving statue.
Putting down his "groceries" he silently approached the fight. The person who looked more like a shadow, danced between the creature's slashes, avoiding any and all attacks.
Dodging to the side, the shadow raised his own blade, its edge growing slightly darker, and swung it at the creature. Augmentation Arthur realized, just like his own. He continued to watch as the murder machines danced across the battlefield.
The shadow abuses his smaller frame, dodging attacks, the creature blocking and taking hits head-on, counterattacking with its greatsword.
Watching this, Arthur couldn't help but admire the sight. Even if his own swordsmanship was far better, it was largely due to the attribute, but also to his training. This, however, seemed like pure skill and training.
He watched until the shadow won, it slightly jumped in joy, and Arthur saw why when the same creature appeared beside him.
Now curious, Arthur descended the slight hill he was on top of. Approaching the figures, Arthur saw how the shadow tensed, and quickly turned around, as if seeing him with his back turned.
Getting closer, Arthur's eyes slightly widened and he spoke.
"Sunless?"
And it was indeed sunny, he has changed quite a bit, his hair slightly darker and longer. Covered in dented and torn armor, his face muddied and bloody.
Sunny also seems to recognize Arthur.
As the tension passed, they exchanged greetings.
Talking for a while, Arthur explained how he arrived here not long ago. Sunny seemed to be shocked about that.
And so after talking for a few minutes, they decided to meet up one day, since both of them were tired and hurt.
