He immediately scrapped the idea of buying them and focused on getting to the hotel he had in mind.
The group of five passed by the Academy gate that was connected to extremely tall walls. Soon, they walked into a five storey building.
Amon looked around, taking in the clean and almost empty hall before looking at the receptionist in front.
"I'd like one large suite please. For a family."
The receptionist was a thin man. He looked slightly malnourished but he did have the bearings of a great receptionist. He greeted the group with a wide, enthusiastic smile as he nodded.
"Sure sir, which suite would you like? We have the Regular Suite, Silver Suite, Golden Suite and lastly, the Luxury suite. You can book the first three but Luxury suite is members only."
"Hey, stop beating around the bush and just tell us what these suites have to offer." Mikayla said impatiently as she kept glancing at Nyx who had a contented smile on her face.
Whatever competition they had a few minutes ago, Nyx clearly won.
The receptionist didn't take offence and nodded, "I apologise for my oversight ma'am." he said and bowed slightly before continuing, "Regular gives you one bedroom with a king size bed, a living room and bathroom. Silver is the same but you'll get bigger rooms, an extra couch in the living room and a kitchen."
He then took out a laminated sheet before placing it on the counter. It advertised the features of the Gold Suite but the man didn't just let them read. He went on about it while Nyx silently went through it while listening to him.
"The Gold Suite comes with two bedrooms, each with their own large beds. Both beds are double king sized and are very durable. We just request that you don't use skills on it. You'll get a kitchen, a living room with two couches and like every other suite, a nice toilet." he said and paused for a moment.
"Oh and before I forget, we also offer regular rooms too along with the suites. They have a bedroom and a bathroom. These cost 100 dollars a day. As for the other suites that I mentioned, they cost 200, 300 and 500 dollars a day respectively."
Amon nodded as he looked at the small rectangular device that looked like a bank card reader from his past life. In this post apocalyptic world, they served a different purpose even though they looked similar.
They accepted coins instead of dollars and places that had these, could be considered to have a good security as they were meant to serve not just the regular population but also the awakened.
"How much does the membership cost?" Amon asked and the Receptionist beamed. It was a smile that came from inside, not something that was practiced.
'He gets incentives if he brings in members?' Amon mused but didn't dwell on the matter.
"To get the membership, you will need to be an awakened. If you are, then you can directly buy the membership for 100 coins. With the membership card, you can avail free regular suite for seven days a month. The other suites get a fifty percent discount and you'll have the Luxury suite available to use.
"It has three large bedrooms with each having a double king sized beds, a large kitchen, a living room, a bathroom like all others and an open pool. You also get free food and if you have any special requests, our chefs will do their best to meet your needs. This suite is at the top floor and it costs 10 coins a day."
Amon thought for a while and nodded as he placed his hand on the device and immediately paid 170 coins.
"One membership card. I'll also be booking the luxury suite for a week." he said, making everyone look at him in surprise.
As fellow awakened, both Nyx and Mikayla knew that they didn't have much problem with money at the moment, not after selling all the cockroach monster corpses. But even with that, they didn't expect him to book the most expensive suite without a second thought.

While the receptionist hurriedly brought out a white card, Amon glanced at his notifications and looked behind him. While his girls were surprised, it wasn't much.
The three digit lottery came from his brother and his girlfriend.
"B-brother…. you…"
"Yeah, I awakened a month ago." Amon said and smirked, "I'm an S rank."
The moment he finished speaking, notifications piled up as the staff nearby stared at him in utter shock.
How could such a big shot suddenly appear in their hotel? None of them could guess why.

Two of them let out an exasperated sigh of relief, including the receptionist. As for the rest of the staff, Amon didn't believe even for a second that everyone would just trust whatever he blabbered.
'These two still look the most shaken… I should stop giving them so many shocks.' he chuckled inwardly as he took the card and walked towards the elevator, deep in thought.
'I had 498 before coming here and now I made more than what I saved in a month. Places with a lot of people is the best for me.'
