Chapter 43
Joe's POV
Hate? Fury?
Yes!
That was all I had left.
Not anger, not pain.
Just Pure Fury
Not even the heartbreak she handed me when she said she'd rather die than be with me.
Or when she said she would be with a pig then be with me.
A pig.
But no, not all that. But just pure, burning, unrelenting hate. I fed off it, and let it consume me. If she didn't want me, then fine. I'd channel it into something else, into taking my kingdom successfully into war and bringing us back victory.
I stormed into the meeting room, my eyes dark and unreadable. My commanders and my uncle Ivan were already waiting. I walked straight to the war table, the map of Lebnin laid out widely on the table.
"So here's what we are going to do. We're splitting into battalions," I said coldly, pointing to the map. "We hit them from three points. South, East, and the River Gorge. They won't see it coming."
