Inside the training room, Grey and Thorgar stood beside each other. While Grey had a frown on his face, dissatisfaction and annoyance oozing out, Thorgar couldn't stop himself from smiling ear to ear.
There were four figures standing in front of them in their training suits, excited to join the training from now on. They were Aeron, Elena, Lenore and a young man with a lean and agile physique that hints at a natural athleticism. His features were remarkably sharp and well-defined for his age. His jawline sculpted and cheekbones subtly prominent, framing a face that could easily be on a magazine cover.
What truly captivating, however, were his rich amber wavy hair falling upto his eyes. And complementing this stunning hair were his eyes, also a luminous amber, wide and clear. Despite all the sharpness, his eyes held a disarming quality, radiating an innocence that makes him approachable and intriguing all at once.
Grey squinted his eyes, Doubts arose like smoke from burning wood, suffocating his mind. He had a guess as to who this young man was, but seeing him here didn't quite align with the information he had about him.
"Hahahahahaha!!! GRREAATTTT!!! This is the enthusiasm young ones like you should have. This is the spirit!" Thorgar exclaimed with joy. The effects of Grey's duel were showing right now. He believed this was just the start, more would follow soon when they see the growth of these new ones.
But his smile vanished when his eyes fell on Elena among them. He was confused seeing someone who was not in need of this training at all. She was already in the S class and the top entrant of the year.
"Elena, child, why are you here though? The S class is trained by elder Zarnak himself. There is nothing new you'll learn here that elder Zarnak doesn't teach." Thorgar said warmly, making sure she's not here for any such reasons.
"Knowledge is everywhere professor. I'm just eager to learn from all the great professors here, including you. Please allow me to train here and learn from you too." Elena humbly bowed, asking him not to deny her from training here.
"Say no you blockhead! She's just buttering you up." Grey was tense. He wanted to stay as far away from Elena as he could, since she was his death flag. Until he grows strong enough to change his fate, he wanted to keep himself away from her.
Thorgar's eyes widened at her words. his chest puffed up from all that praise. He cleared his throat and looked at her with a wide smile on his face. "How can I say no to such an inquisitive child. I'll have a talk with elder Zarnak, don't worry."
An evil grin spread on Elena's face, she had succeeded. She quickly hid her inner thoughts, lifted herself up and thanked him.
"Alright. You three introduce yourselves." Thorgar said at the other three, the wide smile refusing to leave his face.
"I'm Aeron Ling. Auxiliary C class. I have water affinity and main weapon is a halberd. I want to grow stronger and become a war hero." Aeron spoke loudly, standing in attention, like a soldier of the military.
It was for the first time Grey learned about Aeron's affinity and weapon. He realized that, though he was Aeron's roommate, he knew nothing about him. He had never cared to check him, or ask about him; only because he was an extra, just like he was.
He scoffed at himself for being such a jerk. Not even trying to know the one friend that was with him right from the start, in both his good and worse days.
Grey activated his eyes of revelation and checked Aeron.

"C class indeed." Grey sighed seeing his stats. His level was still low, and his bloodline was earth rank, limiting his potential.
"I'm Lenore Bloodthorn. Auxiliary C class. I have water affinity too and I use a scythe. I'm here to train with Grey and become strong like him." She winked at Grey playfully.
Grey turned his eyes away, embarrassed. Elena scoffed at her words. She had an ugly expression as she pierced daggers at her with her eyes.
Thorgar cleared his throat in awkwardness, uncomfortable and surprised at how direct she was. Ignoring her, he then turned his gaze towards the young man with the amber hair, who was standing nervous, quietly listening to the others.
"I-I'm B-Blaze Maximus. Auxiliary C class. I have…fire affinity and I use a broadsword. I want to grow strong like brother Grey and fight the b-beasts in the frontlines." He somehow squeezed the words out sheepishly.
Grey's head snapped towards Blaze. His brows lifted up, eyes wide in shock. He couldn't believe what he just heard. He was quite familiar with the name when he played the game.
He had spent a lot of coins to acquire the legendary SR character that only 0.01% of the total players had acquired. The main character of the storyline, the hero who was to save the world from the eclipse, Blaze Maximus.
