Chapter 24 - Can I train with you?

"What kind of training is professor Thorgar giving you? You've completely transformed within just a few days!" Aeron asked, still in disbelief.

"Just basic body training." Grey said.

The joint practical was over and they were moving out of the arena. After Grey and Waylon's duel, there were almost twenty more duels. Most of them between students from S and A class. But none of them could leave any lasting impact.

It took almost the whole period of the practical class for the students to process the shock from Grey's one hit win. Even Elena and Carson's duel left their minds, what they remembered was Grey's bullet like punch that bloodied Waylon all over.

As Grey and Aeron passed through, the students kept stealing glances at him. No one was mocking or jeering at them like earlier. Some looked with awe and reverence, some looked furious, some with jealousy while some had fighting spirit ignited inside them, wanting to face Grey in a duel right now.

"How the hell is this kind of change possible with just simple body training? Has he asked to keep this a secret between you two?" Aeron furrowed his brows as he asked in a skeptical tone.

"You have great imagination Aeron." Grey chuckled, shaking his head. "I just worked ten times hard then what was required. Nothing else."

"Then will this training also help me grow stronger?" A soft, flirtatious voice, like music, capable of inducing an unknown passion, came from their back. The two of them surprised, turned around instantly.

Standing in front of them was a young girl, with a wide smile plastered on her face. Her hands behind her back and her long, smooth, pale skinned legs crossed, staring at the two of them cutely.

She had long and wavy red hair, cascading down her back, falling over the shoulders, and bright red eyes. She was in the same black colored blazer as Grey and Aeron, enabling them to guess that she was from the auxiliary C class too.

"You are?" Grey asked, confused. Though they were in the same class, he had never seen her before. Her red hair and eyes were too eye-catching for anyone to miss. But he couldn't remember seeing her earlier.

Aeron turned his head at Grey, his eyes wide in surprise, as if asking, how the hell do you not know her.

"I'm Lenore." She said in a cute manner.

"Lenore? Where have I heard that name before?" Grey's brows furrowed in confusion. He felt like he'd heard that name somewhere before.

To douse his burning curiosity, Grey activated the eyes of revelation.

"She's the fucking 'blood queen'! What the hell is she doing here in the academy?"

The vein on Grey's forehead popped up, his brows twitched. He was trying hard to contain the shock and frustration from appearing on his face, since the cute young girl in front of him right now, was a ferocious mid-level boss back in the game.

For a moment he doubted whether this Lenore is not the one from the game, but the system never lies. Though she was hiding her vampiric characteristics, projecting herself as a human, his skill laid every hidden information bare in front of him.

She is definitely the villainess Lenore, a vampire with those very red hair and eyes.

She was part of the Cinder cult, an evil organization that had betrayed the original races and sided with the eclipse beasts, acting as their hidden agents, with the only aim of spreading chaos.

There was an episode where Lenore ravages a whole city, taking the blood from the fallen soldiers and initiating a bloodbath. She looked like a devil with that maddening evil laugh and blood weapons, causing a massacre.

How the hell is that villainess here, he couldn't gather his mind around this fact. If she was in the academy, then what circumstances led to her joining the cult and becoming an evil, merciless and maniac slaughterer.

"You didn't answer my question." Lenore said, pouting her lips.

"Huh? Oh, that! Sure. Why not? You'll grow stronger if you train effectively. Definitely!" Grey said with an awkward laugh.

"Will you train me then?" She asked, closing towards Grey in a seductive manner.

"It was professor Thorgar who helped me train. I think you should ask him for help. He'll definitely be excited to train you." Grey said, slowly stepping back to maintain distance.

"Can I not train with you then?" she said in a whispering tone, her eyes watery, her demeanor the epitome of seduction. She raised her hand, about to touch Greys chest.

"I see you've got yourself quite the fan here Grey." Elena appeared beside them suddenly. She held Lenore's wrist, stopping her hand from moving any further as she said with an awkward smile, the vein on her forehead popping out and her brows twitching.

"I think I should train with you too then. Maybe I'll be able to one shot my enemies too." Elena turned towards Grey. Her face smiling but her eyes betraying her façade, unable to contain the annoyance, fury and most of all, jealousy she was dealing inside.

"Who are you?" Lenore asked in an annoyed tone. Her flirty and cute attitude vanishing in an instant. She pulled her hand away as she rubbed her wrist, as it had turned red from Elena's tight grip.

"I'm Elena Moonshadow. top entrant of this year. You don't know me?" she said, emphasizing on the top entrant part.

"Why are you interfering here? Go mingle with your S class mates and train with them." Lenore scoffed, the irritation apparent in her voice, as the cute and soft voice was replaced with a cold and shrill tone.

"I'm Grey's childhood friend. We both grew up together. And I've been protecting him from evil bitches since a long time, and will continue to do so in the future." Elena said, the smile constant on her face.

"Did you just call me a bitch!?" Lenore said, her voice getting hoarse from fury.

"I never said that. I just said in general. Did you interpret it that way though? Well, guess somewhere deep down you doubt yourself too." Elena scoffed.

Sparks flew between the two of them as they stared right into each other's eyes. No one backing down. A new rivalry was in the making. But the man himself responsible stood confused between them, oblivious of the reasons of this escalation.

"Grey you lucky bastard!" Aeron bit his lower lip in frustration, and his fists clenched tight, jealous at the scene unfolding in front of him.
