Mattias covering face with his hand, blinked as his eyes adjusted to the brightness of the street lamps which cast long, stretching shadows over the pavement,
Theo supported Miras gently with one arm as Elizabeth walking slightly ahead had her hands glowing with a faint energy, ready to act at the slightest threat from Mattias
Levin keeping his eyes on the path, occasionally glanced behind him "make sure to move to much your not in the best condition right now"
Mattias frowned as he started feeling incredibly tired not hearing Levin is words. "What the?" he muttered to himself. "why..... do.... I ...feel so?"
"Hey are you okay," Theo said, adjusting his hold on Miras. "You don't look very good"
Mattias didn't reply. His closed his eyes as he walked trying to understand what this sluggish feeling was
"Am I supposed to feel like this?" he asked as he looked to see everyone walking normally
Elizabeth's voice was wary. "Feel like what?"
Mattias shook his head. "Like… the air is heavy."
Theo nodded. "That is definitely not normal try focusing on staying awake."
Mattias frowned again. "That's.... what ...am doing?"
"Hey trying holding him well," Theo asked as he adjusted Maris again. "We aren't far away."
Elizabeth looked at him confused as the air was pretty normal "Are you sick or something."
Levin's hand landed on her shoulder. "Stop questioning him its normal to feel tired that energy he was emitting has practically vanished so he might need to rest."
Mattias's brow furrowed as he yawned. "What energy?"
Levin's gaze sharpened. "Oh its nothing just the aura people release are you saying you don't know about it"
Theo's voice cut through his own thoughts. "What is aura?."
Theo looking carefully at his dad realized he was testing Mattias
Elizabeth much calmer now, look at mattias waiting for an answer as well.
Mattias's hands clenching at head looked like he was about to die. "I...don't.. what.. aura is"
Theo glanced at him shocked "are you-" before he could continue Levin gave him a glance shutting him up in his mind all he could think of was this pressurehe had never felt from his dad before "what is creepy feeling its...so cold"
As they walk the streets slowly came to life as people began waking up, and shops opened one after the other and greetings between neighbours were exchanged
Continuing the rest of the walk quietly excluding the occasional morning greetings they reached a building tucked inbetween two more. Levin stopping at it door, pulling out key from his pocket, opened to door
Elizabeth breathing a sigh of relief walked inside after Levin. "Finally that walk felt like forever."
Theo and Mattias entering last set Miras down carefully "your a heavy bastard…" Mattias said as he fell to the ground
Elizabeth standing by the door watch the two as her hands twitched unconsciously pulling energy into a small barrier around them. "No sudden movements," she whispered, to herself
Theo wiped his forehead, still catching his breath fell on the floor. "We made it."
Levin's voice was calm but firm. "Elizabeth zi thing you should go home."
Mattias looked at him than looked behind at Elizabeth
Elizabeth confused by what levin said was about to object but Levin gave her a small smile "you seem on edge." As he said so she removed the barrier she put knowing she was caught
Elizabeth looking down at the ground "I... I just"
A tense silence that followed was intense to say the least. Mattias and Theo did nothing but watch.
Theo broke the silence as he looked at the situation realising it was probably best since he just dragged her into this. "You need to rest."
Elizabeth glanced at Mattias then at Levin "it's just when I attacked him I got this."
Levin interrupting her before she could finish said "I know what you mean but you for now need to leave before your parents get worried"
Mattias looking confused at they were talking about couldn't think about it for to long as that sense of tiredness hit him again. "Wha-" before he could finish he found himself unconscious
Theo looking at him go unconscious put a finger to his neck to check for a pulse "His just unconscious."
Elizabeth's eyes narrowed. "What happened to him"
Levin giving an unseen smile didn't respond
Theo standing up sighed "either way nothing we can do now."
The room fell silent. Outside, the wind whispered along the streets, carrying faint echoes of the mountains and the craters they had left behind. The black residue on Mattias's skin shimmered faintly in response as a glow started coming from his body
Levin scratching the back of his head put his hand up as stream of energy flowing from it as he stared at Mattias his throughts drifted"I just poured some refined aura into him what I normally do before a surgery to put him to sleep but the amount it took to put him out is enough to knock a Waven out cold for days"
Elizabeth leaned back against the wall, finally letting herself relax. "I can finally relax" she muttered.
Theo smiled faintly. "Oh yeah didn't they tell you to go home already."
Elizabeth getting embarrassed looked away then walked outside
Levin not wasting anymore time got ready to check Miras is injuries washing his hands and wearing gloves he walked to the unconscious man "Theo go and prepare the surgery room"
Theo not wasting a beat run to a room with a bed and medical herbs he started preparing all the tools not knowing which ones were needed
As Theo prepared the room Levin gently carried a wing up and checked the severe burns on them "these are terrible his lucky his out cold or he would be screaming non stop"
Levin looking unimpressed sighed "I couldn't tell those were wings they are so toasted"
Putting them down he couldn't help wonder if he was the one in that lightening from earlier "I guess letting Theo wonder outside wasn't a waste"
