They took her to interrogation room three. Concrete walls. Metal table bolted to the floor. Recording equipment in the corner. The fluorescent lights buzzed overhead, harsh and unforgiving.
Detective Kim Sangwoo sat across from her. His partner, Detective Lee, stood by the door. Arms crossed. Watching.
The recorder clicked on.
"Kang Jiwon. You've been apprehended for multiple charges including murder, kidnapping, assault, illegal weapons possession—"
"I know what I did." Her voice was bright. Almost giddy. "I'm not denying anything."
Detective Kim blinked. "You're confessing?"
