In the end Daichi didn't even have the chance to land before losing.
The water clone Mujin made in the beginning, who had cast the hidden mist technique, had at some point of time appeared in the arena, and the punch Mujin main body threw at Daichi, launched him straight towards the water clone.
In the end he had time to adjust and try and dispel the clone in front of him.
He flew into a pre-made water prison jutsu, leaving no time to even target the water clone.
When Daichi fell into the jutsu, Mujin's real body flickered immediately to the water prison and stuck his hand to the jutsu.
This was due to the water clone being extremely low on chakra and not being able to upkeep the jutsu on for too long.
After which, Daichi tried his best to break free from the jutsu.
With the chakra difference between the two, it was impossible to break free.
After a few minutes of struggling, the referee decided to end the match.
Back in the contestants booth, while Hyori couldn't see the fight, she could imagine how it went.
"I can't believe he solved his weakness to genjutsu with such a method."
When Yujiro heard Hyoris muttering, he made a comment of his own.
"While it is an ingenious method of negating his weakness, ultimately it's usage is extremely limited.

After Mujins and Daichi's match was over, it took the examiners 4 minutes to use wind style to disperse the mist.
While they were dispelling the mist, both Hyori and Yujiro had already appeared down in the arena, all they were doing was waiting for the referee and the examiners to disperse the mist.
But when the battles start was announced, the following "battle" confused almost everybody in the stadium.
The Yujiro they saw immediately used the shadow clone Jutsu to make a clone and flicker to the side of the stadium and simply sit down on a rock.
But while most of the contestants and the viewers were opening their mouths, Hyori seemed as calm as a rock.

After around 20 minutes of Hyori attacking the shadow clone with genjutsu, ninjutsu, all of her tricks and in the end, even resorting to taijutsu, she was incredibly tired, but in the end, she did manage to dispel the shadow clone after the taijutsu duel.
After she managed to do that she simply surrendered.

But unlike the civilians who were comparing Hyori to Yujiro and didn't think that she managed to do well.
All of the higher ranking ninjas compared her to normal chunins to rate her performance.
After all it was obvious to any ninja with a brain that Hyuga Yujiro was far stronger than the average chunin.
So despite Hyori being so far away from beating Yujiro.
The abilities she displayed, were all judged to reach the level of a chunin.
After the fight between Hyori and his shadow clone was over, Yujiro simply stood up and walked Hyori up to the contestants booth.
The last fight between the Kusa genin and the Ame boil release ninja was like one of Yujiro's matches.
An one sided beatdown.
This was despite the boil release ninja being exhausted, the Kusa nin didnt stand a chance against him.
The reason for this was that despite the boil release ninja being exhausted, his physicality, and chakra were still far above the Kusa genin, so he was simply overpowered without any chance to make a comeback.
And at this point, only 3 ninjas vere left in the chunin exams.
Hyuga Yujiro, Senju Mujin and Wawari Hachisaki.
And since there wasn't an equal number of ninjas to split into fights, one person would get to the semi finals without even fighting.
So in the end, the three people drew lots to decide the one who would advance without a fight.
And in the end the Mujin was the one who got lucky and advanced without fighting.
And when Yujiro saw this scene, it surprised him more than if Madara appeared in front of him.
'What? A Senju won in a luck based game?
Impossible! Mujin are you even a real Senju? Look at Tsunade and Hashirama over here, did you eat all of their luck?
Look at your accomplishments, Tsunade and Hashirama would need to gamble enough to buy the land of fire to win once!

So while Yujiro was looking at Mujin with disbelief, Mujin himself was completely didn't have the slightest clue that Yujiro was having such disrespectful words of a past clan head of his clan and one of the most respected people not only in the Senju clan, but also in the whole of Konoha and the land of fire.
