Thor?
That had to be the God of Thunder and Strength from Norse mythology.
Emiya thought it quietly, but didn't say it out loud. Loki didn't seem to care either. She pointed at a vehicle speeding past them.
"This must be your world's carriage."
"That's right," Emiya nodded. "But we don't call it a carriage. We call it a car."
"These things are everywhere," Loki said, eyes tracking the traffic. "They seem extremely common in your world, Emiya boy. Do you have one? Can you get me one too?"
Her thoughts were clearly running wild.
If she drove one of these so-called "cars" to the next gods' meeting, every other god would be green with envy. Just imagining it made her feel excited.
Emiya shook his head.
"I don't have one. But if you like, Lady Loki, I can buy you one. The price is a bit high. I can afford a normal one, but not a top-tier luxury model."
"How much would a good one cost?" Loki asked.
"Tens of millions."
"...That's not Falis, is it?"
Emiya nodded.
Falis was the currency of their world. Its purchasing power wasn't bad. Fifty Falis was enough for a decent meal, but equipment and consumables were expensive.
A single stamina recovery potion cost at least five hundred Falis.
In practice, Falis was probably slightly stronger than Japanese yen, roughly comparable to Chinese RMB. At most, the exchange rate difference would be around one to two or one to three.
After Emiya explained his estimate, Loki nodded.
"So a good car would cost tens of millions of Falis?"
"More or less."
"Not that expensive," Loki said, stroking her chin.
Her Familia was one of the strongest in Orario. Tens of millions of Falis was nothing. Finn's weapon alone was worth more than ten million.
Emiya paused for a moment.
"Actually, Lady Loki, if you're willing to accept someone into your Familia, I can have them buy you a top-of-the-line luxury car."
"Oh?" Loki narrowed her eyes. "Such a generous offer. Who?"
"My chef. Erina Nakiri."
"A chef?"
"That's right. She's from another world. No gods. No magic. But her family is extremely wealthy. Buying a luxury car is trivial for them."
"Oh-ho," Loki said with interest. "You even have a personal chef?"
Emiya replied calmly,
"When you travel between worlds, you sometimes run into ingredients you've never seen before and don't know how to handle. Hiring a chef solves that problem."
Loki clicked her tongue.
"You really live a corrupt life."
Emiya chuckled.
"I just think people should treat themselves well. Don't you agree, Lady Loki?"
"Ah! It's Loki!"
A voice suddenly came from ahead, interrupting them.
Both of them turned their heads.
They were standing near a busy commercial street. Four girls were walking together-Misaka Mikoto, Rem, Asuna, and Tokisaki Kurumi.
Of course, they weren't the real ones.
They were cosplayers.
Judging by their appearances, they couldn't compare to the originals, but with makeup and costumes, they were still quite cute.
The four girls noticed Loki and immediately walked over.
The girl dressed as Misaka Mikoto spoke first.
"Did you just come back from an anime convention? I didn't see you there. You're cosplaying Loki from DanMachi, right? This is a perfect replica."
Perfect replica, my foot.
That's the real thing.
Emiya complained silently.
The girl dressed as Rem nodded enthusiastically.
"That's right. I've never seen such a perfect cosplay. Your hair looks amazing. The red is so natural. What kind of dye did you use?"
The Asuna cosplayer was more polite.
"Hi, I'm a student at First High School. My name is Zhou Huinan. What's your name? Can we add each other on WeChat?"
The girl dressed as Tokisaki Kurumi seemed shy. She didn't speak, only stood quietly to the side.
Loki narrowed her eyes slightly.
"You all know me?"
"The goddess Loki from DanMachi," the Misaka cosplayer said directly. "We recognized you right away."
Then, with a hint of envy, she added,
"It's rare to see someone pull off such a perfect cosplay. Is it because of natural talent?"
Loki glanced at Emiya.
Even in a different world, these strangely dressed girls recognized her instantly.
It seemed Emiya had been hiding quite a lot from her.
Zhou Huinan raised her phone.
"By the way, we still don't know your name. Can we take a picture together?"
Loki looked at the device in her hand, then smiled.
"Sure. No problem."
She didn't know exactly what it was, but she could tell there was no hostility.
Zhou Huinan thanked her politely, stepped next to Loki, raised her phone, and opened the camera. Loki followed her movements and smiled naturally.
Click.
The image was captured.
Zhou Huinan looked a little excited.
"What's your WeChat ID? I'll send you the photo."
Loki glanced at Emiya.
He stepped forward smoothly.
"My friend was in a hurry today and didn't bring her phone. How about this-you send it to me, and I'll pass it to her later."
Zhou Huinan hesitated for a moment, glanced at Emiya, then nodded.
Emiya didn't mind. He added her on WeChat and quickly received the photo.
After that, the other girls also asked to take pictures.
Loki laughed lightly and took photos with each of them.
Emiya could roughly guess why she agreed so readily.
They were all cute girls.
If it had been a guy, Loki probably would've refused outright.
After all, she was a well-known LSP-someone who loved alcohol and cute girls. In her own Familia, she had tried more than once to grope her Sword Princess, Ais Wallenstein, and had been beaten up every time.
By the way, the only reason Loki could talk with the four girls so smoothly was because Emiya had previously given her the ability to understand all languages.
Otherwise, she wouldn't have understood a single word of the Chinese they were speaking.
