Susan, who was about to question Camille about why Hazel had to stay behind, swallowed her words when she caught Camille's hard glare. She lowered her head and hurried out, leaving Hazel alone.
"Why should I wait behind?" Hazel asked slowly.
Vladimir had gone for a meeting with Kael, while Ezren and Cassian were sent to manage his other companies. Before leaving, Vladimir had told Camille she was in charge, and that made it easy for her to compel the other employees to mind their business no matter what they saw.
