"DXD: Transfer Student"Chapter 241: Kuroka Toujou

A voice Draconis Yi didn't recognize echoed through the clearing. Moments later, a black cat leapt onto a nearby boulder. In the blink of an eye, the feline shimmered and transformed—now a black-haired girl draped in a midnight kimono.

She looked uncannily like Koneko Toujou. Black cat ears twitched atop her head, and she sprawled lazily across the sun-warmed stone, her golden eyes fixed on Koneko.

Koneko stood frozen, shock written across her face.

"Don't recognize me, Shirone? It's your sister," the girl said, her tone gentle, almost teasing.

Draconis Yi's brow rose. Shirone? That was a name he'd never heard before. But Koneko didn't flinch at the address. After a long, tense silence, she finally managed to speak.

"Kuroka… nee-san."

So, this really was Koneko's sister.

Draconis Yi glanced at Rias, but she seemed utterly unsurprised—as if she'd known all along.

Kuroka's lips curled into a playful smile. "Not bad, tracking me here just from a single black cat at the party."

Koneko's expression darkened, suspicion in her eyes. "What do you want?"

"Don't be so prickly, Shirone. I just have some business to handle. Heard the devils were throwing a big party, so I thought I'd drop by for a look. Nya~"

She punctuated the sentence with a cat-like gesture and a wink—adorable, yet unmistakably mature. She was every bit as pretty as Koneko, but older, more developed, her kimono neckline threatening to spill secrets.

A new voice cut through the woods, one Draconis Yi recognized immediately. From the shadows stepped a man in chainmail, an iron staff slung over his shoulder, radiating easy confidence.

Draconis Yi's eyes narrowed. Bikou—Sun Wukong's supposed descendant.

He'd always doubted that story. The original Monkey King was a monk; where exactly did these "descendants" come from? Still, in this world, Bikou had joined the Khaos Brigade, making him an enemy—at least on paper.

Draconis Yi didn't relish fighting Eastern gods. But if Bikou pushed, he wouldn't hesitate to respond—sometimes, a brawl was the best way to start a conversation.

Bikou's gaze flicked to Draconis Yi's hiding spot, a smirk playing at his lips. "You can't hide your presence from us, you know. For folks like Kuroka and me, a shift in ki is all it takes."

Draconis Yi didn't bother acting surprised. He stepped out with Rias, moving to Koneko's side.

"President… Draconis Yi… why are you here?" Koneko's voice was small, uncertain.

Rias knelt, brushing a hand through Koneko's hair. "You can't just wander off alone, Koneko. You'll worry everyone."

"Ah, it's you guys! Heh, I didn't even sense you earlier…" Bikou admitted, glancing at Draconis Yi. "We only picked up Rias's aura. Didn't expect you were here too."

Kuroka's eyes narrowed. "Bikou, who's this guy?"

"He's part of Rias's Peerage. Don't underestimate him—Vali lost to him last time."

Kuroka's gaze swept Draconis Yi up and down. "Really? I can't read your power at all…"

Draconis Yi smiled, easy and unruffled. "If you're that curious, try me yourself. I'm not about to hand you my secrets."

He could tell these two were a complicated pair—one was Koneko's sister, the other tangled up with the Monkey King's legend. Not the sort of adversaries he'd casually go all-out against.

Kuroka rolled her eyes. "Stingy."

Draconis Yi stepped forward, placing himself between the newcomers and his team. "What's the Khaos Brigade doing in the Underworld? Looking for trouble?"

He could feel it—their power was overwhelming. Rias and Koneko were outmatched.

Bikou waved a hand, all smiles. "Relax, we're just on standby. Nothing much going on. Kuroka heard about your little get-together and wanted to play. I'm here to drag her back. No drama."

He turned to Kuroka. "You've had your fun. Time to head home, yeah?"

Kuroka shrugged. "Say what you want, but I'm taking Shirone with me. I owe her—I should've brought her along years ago."

Bikou sighed. "You're gonna piss off Vali if you just snatch her."

"She's got the same power as me. Ophis and Vali won't mind."

The two bantered, barely acknowledging Draconis Yi or Rias.

Koneko trembled, fear flickering in her eyes.

Draconis Yi's voice was ice-cool. "Vali couldn't beat me. You two think you can, together? Want to take Koneko? You'll have to go through me."

Rias stepped up, her anger clear. "She's my Peerage member. You're not taking her!"

Kuroka's eyes flashed. "What are you talking about? Shirone's my sister. I have every right to take care of her—and I'm not handing her over to some high-class devil."

She moved without warning.

A shimmering veil snapped into place, cloaking the forest in a dense, supernatural barrier—senjutsu, woven tight as steel.

Kuroka's power surged. Draconis Yi reacted instantly, grabbing Rias and Koneko and leaping aside. Their former position exploded, a crater torn into the earth.

Kuroka straightened, her smile now edged with danger. Catlike charm gave way to predatory intent.

"Too much trouble. I'll just kill you all, nya~"

With the barrier in place, she dropped all pretense. Her aura flared—senjutsu, youjutsu, magic, and now space itself twisted at her command. The sheer breadth of her power was staggering.

Rias and Koneko staggered, pain etched across their faces. The suppression was merciless, a blanket of force that left them helpless.

"Spatial manipulation…" Rias whispered, horror in her eyes.
