Chapter 176 - Chapter 176: Blade of the Ruined King

Nasha and the others rushed forward, killing all the Satyr maintaining the portal.

Without human control, the portal began to collapse.

Nasha and the others picked up the Suramar artifacts used to maintain the portal and retreated with the main force.

After retreating outside the city, the portal violently exploded, destroying more than half of Suramar City.

With the power of the pillars of creation, Gale could have completely saved Suramar. However, with the Kaldorei of Suramar either dead or fled, there was no longer any need to save the city.

In the original history, these Kaldorei would have survived the War of the Ancients under the protection of the eye of aman'thul. By taking the eye of aman'thul, Gale indirectly caused their deaths.

However, Gale did not regret it, nor did he feel ashamed. The only thing he could express was regret; why did they listen to Elisande and not leave Suramar!

The eye of aman'thul belonged to the Kaldorei Empire, and Elisande's private use of it was an injustice to the entire Kaldorei Empire's reform.

At the Temple of the Moon's fortress, the allied forces were temporarily stationed. After Suramar fell, the demons stationed there had withdrawn.

Maiev brought Nasha and the others before Gale, and Nasha and the others presented the artifacts of Suramar.

Gale looked down on these artifacts a bit, saying, "Artifacts are powerful, but it also depends on the good or evil of the user. Azshara thought artifacts could solidify her throne, and Elisande also believed artifacts could allow her to escape the injustice of fate. In the end, they both chose the wrong destiny."

He manipulated the artifacts, and they flew up, saying, "These artifacts seem powerful, but they lack their own thoughts and can only serve as tools."

Under his control, these artifacts gradually merged into an elven-style sword.

Gale took out the last of his blood divine power and infused it into the sword. Then he took out the hammer of Kaz'goroth and permanently solidified the divine power.

"It comes from an old dynasty, and it will be the terminator of the old dynasty. Let's call it the Ruined King's Blade!"

With that, Gale handed the sword to Nasha, saying, "From now on, it will be your personal sword, and you will have the right to subjugate any disloyal subjects of the old dynasty."

Nasha was stunned for a moment and looked at Maiev, confused.

Maiev nodded slightly, and only then did Nasha accept the Ruined King's Blade.

"As you command, my King!"

Gale waved his hand, dismissing Nasha and the others.

Maiev walked over, leaned on his shoulder, and said with a smile, "It seems you've made your decision."

Gale nodded, "I used to be too cautious."

Being overly cautious is not the character a king should possess. While Azshara did not do well in other areas, her decisiveness was indeed much stronger than Gale's.

Since he possessed powerful strength, then for those who would not submit, he would simply subjugate them directly.

In the history of world of warcraft, indecisive leaders seem to have faced many hardships. Malfurion, Jaina, Anduin Wrynn—one was framed by his apprentice, and two lost their fathers.

Thoradin, the first great emperor of humanity, was a decisive man. He conquered all human tribes and defeated all opponents, yet he is still revered by the descendants of his opponents. So, sometimes being a bit brutal is fine, as long as it can be justified.

Maiev killed Elisande to convey this principle to Gale.

Otherwise, in Gale's eyes, Elisande's crime truly would not have warranted death.

In fact, she truly underestimated Gale. If Elisande had merely defected to the demons, Gale might not have killed her, but since she became a Satyr, Gale would absolutely not let her go.

Gale's racial ideology could tolerate all native Azeroth species, but not Satyr and Naga.

These two races were simply a disgrace to the Kaldorei; those who abandoned their beauty were not fit to live.

Gale creating the Ruined King's Blade was also a response to Maiev, letting her know he understood her thoughts.

Although they were not yet married, the two were no different from husband and wife.

Thinking of this, Gale couldn't help but feel speechless about the Kaldorei physique; it had been two hundred years, and they still had no children. If not for his enduring virility, Gale would have suspected something was wrong with himself.

Perhaps it was Maiev's problem? After all, in the original history, she hadn't had a boyfriend for ten thousand years.

Cough, cough, let's stop this line of thought, otherwise Gale always felt like his head was turning green.

Before, he was so focused on preparing to fight the Burning Legion that he hadn't thought about this. Now that he thought about it, it seemed it should be put on the agenda. After the war, he must have both their bodies checked; somehow, they must leave behind one... two... hmm, ten or eight descendants.

After the war, Kaldorei must definitely be encouraged to have more children, and as King, I must set an example, mustn't I?

Nasha looked at the Ruined King's Blade in confusion. To this day, she still didn't understand why Gale would bestow this artifact upon her. According to Gale, she would have the right to subjugate disloyal lords of the old dynasty, a right that should have been given to Maiev or Carlos! They were the generals leading armies, while she was just a scout captain.

"What are you thinking about?" Karna appeared behind Nasha.

When Nasha saw Karna, her eyes lit up, and she quickly expressed her confusion.

Karna pondered for a moment, then said, "Perhaps this sword was originally meant for Maiev, but His Majesty found it awkward to give it directly to Maiev, so he gave it to you. After all, you and Maiev are like sisters, so giving it to you is no different from giving it to Maiev."

Nasha was overjoyed, "It really seems to be that way! I remember, when King Gale told me I could subjugate disloyal subjects, he was looking at Sister Maiev."

Karna: "That's it then."

With her confusion resolved, Nasha smiled happily, "Thank you so much! If you hadn't told me, I might not have figured it out in a hundred years."

Karna smiled warmly.

Ever since he started using Shadow energy, he had become increasingly cold, taking lives in the dark without a second thought. While he could smile in front of Gale and Navoli, he felt a certain resistance in his heart.

However, for some reason, only in front of Nasha could he genuinely smile from the heart.

Seeing his smile, Nasha unintentionally said, "You should smile more. Don't always frown; you actually look very handsome when you smile."

Karna subconsciously touched his face. Was he really handsome?

It was then that he realized he hadn't paid attention to his appearance in a very long time.

Am I still a Kaldorei?

Karna decided he would change himself, starting now.

"Alright!"

Hearing Karna's reply, Nasha's smile became even brighter.

Not far behind them, Salador leaned against a stone pillar, munching on an apple and grumbling, "The pungent smell of love."

He turned his gaze to the distance, where a female elf was feeding her pet dragon.
