Chapter 175 - Chapter 175 Elisande's Fate

Agamaggan was furious. He usually boasted of his strength when speaking to other demigods. But when he encountered a demon, he couldn't defeat it, which made him feel extremely ashamed and angry.

Blocking Azzakel's renewed attack, Agamaggan shook his body violently, and the bristles on his body, like steel needles, shot out, embedding themselves in Azzakel's body.

Azzakel felt a slight sting and looked at the bristles stuck in his body with a ferocious expression, his anger erupting.

"Haa—"

Fel fire surged from his body, melting the bristles and adhering to his greatsword. He continuously swung his greatsword, each strike aimed at Agamaggan's tusks.

Agamaggan tried to block it once, but the greatsword imbued with fel energy nearly severed his tusks. Agamaggan quickly retreated; if he lost his tusks, he would lose his strongest weapon. He believed that Azzakel's state wouldn't last long, and as soon as Azzakel's attack ended, he would definitely have a chance to kill him.

However, Gale wouldn't give them time for a one-on-one fight.

The demons inside Suramar City had opened the city gates for reinforcements, their numbers exceeding his estimate. Although the Blue Dragon and Green Dragon were powerful, they found it difficult to stop all of them.

Moreover, Gale had underestimated the range of the fel cannons on the city walls.

They could even directly fire into the demon encampment.

This meant that not only the Blue Dragon and Green Dragon, but the entire allied army would have to endure the threat of these fel cannons. After a few shots, dozens of allied soldiers had already been killed.

Such casualties were more than ten times higher than those incurred attacking the demon camp!

"Cenarius, please quickly deal with that demon. I'll go take out those cannons."

Cenarius looked at Gale in surprise. Those things were called fel cannons; how did Gale know that?

Gale, of course, knew it from his memories of his previous life. He didn't think much of it and immediately flashed to Mejia's side, opening the Rainbow Bridge to teleport onto the city wall.

Mejia held the tide stone in both hands, and endless cold air condensed on the city wall. The distance from him to the fel cannons was instantly frozen solid. Satisfied with his masterpiece, Mejia flashed in front of a fel cannon, extended a hand, and the fel cannon flew up, smashing into a group of demons within the city.

Gale was even more direct. He pointed the eternal spear, and a beam of light pierced through and tore apart all the demons blocking the fel cannons, then ignited the fel cannons' ammunition. The ammunition detonated, not only destroying the fel cannons but also collapsing most of the city wall. The shockwave swept over hundreds of yards, leaving nearby demons either dead or wounded.

Before the shockwave arrived, Gale immediately activated the Rainbow Bridge and teleported between the other two fel cannons.

The Well of Eternity and the hammer of khaz'goroth swept to both sides, destroying two more fel cannons.

The demons on the city wall were too busy to defend themselves, and with the fel cannons destroyed, they naturally couldn't threaten the allied forces outside the city.

The immense power of the fel cannons made even the dragons wary. Now that the cannons were destroyed, the dragons all became invigorated. Without needing to worry about other matters, dragon breath was unleashed like it was free, instantly blocking the path of reinforcements from within the city.

Cenarius and Malorne also rushed to the front. Cenarius summoned roots to entangle Azzakel's body. Malorne, on the other hand, charged directly. His body was not as strong as Agamaggan's, nor was his strength as great as Agamaggan's, but his agility far surpassed Agamaggan's.

Azzakel cut through the roots obstructing his movement, and just as he was about to continue attacking Agamaggan, Malorne arrived and impaled his stomach with his antlers.

"You're asking for death!"

Azzakel swung his sword at Malorne, but Malorne dodged it. Azzakel continued his assault, raising his foot, flapping his wings, and wielding his greatsword, forcing Malorne and Agamaggan to retreat repeatedly.

Cenarius was also somewhat annoyed. If three of them couldn't deal with this demon, then their reputation as demigods would be ruined.

He raised his hands, gathering as much natural energy from around him as possible. The fel's destruction of nature had long since provoked nature's wrath. Now, with Cenarius's guidance, the furious natural energy surged forth, transforming at Cenarius's will into strong roots that entangled Azzakel's four legs, his massive body, and his hands and head.

Azzakel still tried to struggle, but the roots gave him no room to exert his strength.

With an opportunity to attack, Malorne launched the first strike.

He quickly moved in, and his antlers ripped open Azzakel's stomach. Demon blood gushed out, nearly corroding his handsome face.

Agamaggan didn't care about the corrosive demon blood. He pushed Malorne aside and charged forward, inserting his tusks into the wound Malorne had created. The tusks directly pierced through Azzakel's stomach and emerged from his neck.

"Aow—"

The intense pain unleashed Azzakel's power, and fel flames surged outwards. Agamaggan was hit squarely, and his steel-like fur was scorched.

He forcefully flung Azzakel away, turned, and gave him a kick.

Azzakel was sent flying, then violently pulled back down by the roots.

Cenarius controlled the roots to penetrate Azzakel's body, then pulled forcefully in two directions. Azzakel screamed, no longer able to release fel flames.

Finally, Azzakel was torn in half alive.

The fel-tainted roots, carrying Azzakel's body, returned underground. This place was already polluted, so a little more pollution wouldn't matter much. It just meant that more time would be needed for purification after the war.

With Azzakel dealt with, the low-ranking demons in the main camp fled in all directions. They couldn't be resurrected like the high-ranking demons; when they died, they were truly dead.

The allied forces pursued for a while, then stopped. They turned and charged towards Suramar.

Without the fel cannons, with most of the ballistas destroyed, and with heavy casualties among the demons on the city walls, Suramar's defenses were practically non-existent.

Agamaggan had Cenarius heal him, preventing the fel from damaging his eyes, and also treated his tusks.

He charged towards Suramar first, crashing through the city gate, and then stormed towards the portal.

Without a Pit Lord, the other demons were no match for him; they were merely there to be trampled.

The allied forces followed behind him, continuously clearing out the surrounding demons. The demons couldn't even get close, only watching helplessly as the allied forces rushed to the vicinity of the portal.

"Swish—"

The Rainbow Bridge descended, and Gale, accompanied by Mejia, also arrived.

The Satyr presiding over the portal array shrieked: "Gale, you bandit! Give me back the eye of aman'thul."

"Elisande?" Gale looked at the former Grand Magister in surprise, and said coldly: "I didn't expect you to also turn into this monstrous state."

"It's all because of you!" Elisande angrily retorted: "You liar, you thief..."

As she was in the midst of her rant, a figure appeared behind her and slit her throat with a moonblade.

Maiev said coldly: "This is the fate of those who side with demons."
