A giant bear charged over, knocking the demon aside.
Amidst a flash of green light, the giant bear transformed into Nalarex.
He knelt to examine Carlos's injuries, and finding him out of mortal danger, he breathed a sigh of relief.
Then, Nalarex transformed back into a giant bear.
A root grew from the ground, wrapping around Carlos and securing him to the bear's back.
The giant bear roared and charged forward with the main force.
Soon, the allied army reached the city gates.
A yellow light swept across, directly shattering the city gates and allowing the allied army to enter the city.
Within Sin'dorei, it had long since become a demon stronghold.
As the allied army charged in, they saw countless demons waiting for them.
Towering Hellfire, Fel Reavers, and several Dread Lords leading Doom Guards hovered in mid-air, while massive Pit Lords commanded the forces on the ground.
Clearly, this was a trap set by the demons, just waiting for the allied army to walk into it.
Huln Highmountain instantly assessed the situation; the direct path to the Well of Eternity was blocked, and a forced charge would be no different from a suicide mission.
It seemed only Plan B could be executed.
Huln Highmountain pulled a crystal from his pocket, turned, and threw it onto the city wall.
The demons on the city wall, thinking it was some powerful weapon, quickly dodged.
However, the crystal landed on the ground, bounced twice, and then remained still.
A demon was about to inspect it when a portal suddenly appeared.
Before the demon could warn its companions, it was blasted into pieces by a fireball.
Four Mages emerged in single file, each holding a pillars of creation.
The demons charged over, but Lunden and Mejia immediately opened fire, two beams of light directly clearing the demons from the city wall.
Gale and Metri walked to the edge of the city wall, looking at the countless demons within the city.
"It seems we need to execute Plan B," Metri said.
Gale nodded, took out the eternal holy grail and a teleportation crystal, and opened a portal in front of the allied army.
Huln Highmountain was the first to enter the portal, quickly appearing inside a Mage Tower.
When they rushed out of the Mage Tower, they found themselves near the Eternal Palace.
And the Well of Eternity was beneath the Eternal Palace.
Tichondrius saw the allied army enter the portal and immediately knew they had been prepared.
He quickly ordered: "Attack! Prevent them from entering the portal!"
Then, he ordered again: "Anatheron, search the other side of the portal, focusing on those Mage Towers."
"Yes!"
Anatheron was pleased to see Tichondrius in a difficult position; if Tichondrius lost Kil'jaeden's trust, then he would have a chance to rise.
However, he still carried out Tichondrius's orders, for if he dared to feign compliance at this moment, Kil'jaeden would undoubtedly eliminate him as well.
"Attack!"
Mannoroth swung his spear and charged towards the portal.
He was tall and took large strides, reaching the portal in just a few steps.
He did not agree with Tichondrius's idea of searching for people; if the allied army could use the portal, the Legion naturally could too.
To find out where the allied army appeared, all they had to do was pursue them through the portal!
However, he had not considered that Tichondrius would surely know such a simple method.
Just as Mannoroth was about to charge into the portal, a beam of light swept across.
Mannoroth instantly sensed danger and quickly stopped, narrowly avoiding the light beam.
He watched as the beam swept through the demons, instantly vaporizing a group of them.
If he hadn't stopped, he would probably have ended up like those demons.
Mannoroth swallowed, now finally understanding why Tichondrius had sent Anatheron to search for the other side of the portal.
In fear, Mannoroth quickly brandished his spear, "Hurry up and charge, you fools!"
The lesser demons wanted to curse Mannoroth's ancestors, 'You don't charge yourself, but you make us charge? How are you so heartless?'
Gale and Metri killed every demon that dared to charge towards the portal.
However, driven by the higher-ranking demons, lesser demons continuously charged the portal, dying in wave after wave.
This prevented the four, Gale, from having any time to hunt down the higher-ranking demons.
Fortunately, the allied army quickly entered the portal.
Gale had Metri and the other two enter the portal first, and he blinked in last.
The moment he entered, he closed the portal.
The allied army arrived at the Eternal Palace and was engaging in battle with the demons stationed there.
Due to the lack of powerful combatants, the demons were simply unable to withstand the allied army's assault.
Anatheron also discovered the allied army's location, but they were still some distance away, and it would take a few minutes to fly over.
Just as the allied army was about to approach the Well of Eternity, a wall of ice suddenly appeared, blocking their path.
The Tauren swung their spears, attempting to break the ice, but from above, cold energy continuously repaired it.
The Mages looked towards the source of the cold energy, seeing Azshara wielding the tidal scepter on the high bridge connecting the Eternal Palace and the Mage Tower.
"Your Maj— Azshara?"
The Kaldorei instinctively wanted to call her 'Your Majesty,' but quickly realized their mistake.
Their Majesty was now Gale, and calling Azshara 'Your Majesty' would be inappropriate.
Moreover, Azshara was clearly siding with the demons, forcing them to abandon their last shred of hope.
"Azshara!"
Gale rushed up from behind, looking up at Azshara, "Are you still so deluded?"
Azshara sneered: "Gale, I knew you harbored ill intentions."
She took out an item and threw it at Gale's feet.
Gale looked, and it was azshara's crown.
"When you crafted it, I knew you had tampered with it.
Gale, take your thing; we will fight to the death."
Gale picked up the crown, shaking his head speechlessly, "Azshara, the spell on this only makes you a little clearer-headed."
Azshara shouted: "Are you still trying to deceive me?"
She swung the tidal scepter, attempting to re-establish the connection with the tide stone.
If she could destroy the tide stone once, she could destroy it a second time.
However, her expression quickly changed.
The connection between the tidal scepter and the tide stone was gone!
Gale raised the hammer of khaz'goroth, "Azshara, surrender now, and I can spare your life!"
Azshara's face was grim; she could feel the power on the hammer of khaz'goroth, a Titan artifact no weaker than the eye of aman'thul.
Just then, a figure emerged from behind a pillar.
It was a Satyr, holding a javelin.
He aimed at Gale and forcefully threw the javelin.
The javelin transformed into a shooting star, striking Gale directly in the chest.
Gale froze for a moment, then turned to look at the assailant.
The Satyr still retained his elven appearance, and Gale recognized him at a glance.
"Savis—"
"King Gale!"
The Kaldorei rushed over, but Gale could no longer hear them.
The immense power of the suramar javelin had rendered him unconscious.
