Chapter 130: Golden Lord Blue Heavens Sword
Elton took a deep breath as he stood up from his meditation mat, dusting himself off. Black liquid residue, the byproduct of internal impurities expelled during his breakthrough, clung to his robes and pooled around him on the floor.
He gave his body a few light stretches, feeling the coursing energy within his veins. Power pulsed through every fiber of his being—he was stronger than ever before, teetering on the precipice of the next stage of cultivation.
With a relaxed expression, Elton stepped out of the special meditation chamber and turned his gaze toward two nearby rooms. Inside them were none other than Zoro and Ramiro, still deeply immersed in their own cultivation.
"Truly... compared to most others, our progress is unreal," Elton muttered, both in awe and reflection, remembering the countless trials that led him here.
A familiar voice suddenly echoed from behind.
"Hehe. Good job, young man, on reaching Gold Tier 5. You're officially a Golden Lord now—and not just any Golden Lord. Hmm… you're not far off from a false Mortal Lord, strength-wise. I'm sure those people out there could use that power of yours about now."
The speaker was none other than Master Bluesonics.
"Thank you very much for your tutelage, Master," Elton said with genuine gratitude, bowing respectfully.
"Haha! Not at all, not at all," the man chuckled. "I merely helped speed things up. But now... it's time for you to move beyond those low-tier arts you've been relying on."
A playful smirk crept across Master Bluesonics's face.
"Soon, you'll begin cultivating your true innate techniques, rather than the basic sword arts of this sect."
Elton hesitated, a troubled expression clouding his face.
"You're a guest elder here... isn't it a little much to dismiss the sect's sword techniques like that?"
"Hahaha, don't worry about it. Just remember: the techniques you choose will define the path you walk. So far, you've juggled the Eight Bright Brilliance Sword Stances, a bit of Royal Elven Magic, and just the fundamentals of your White Lightning Star Sage method. That path has served you well—until now. But it's time to let go of the Eight Bright Brilliance Sword Stances and fully commit to unlocking the next layer of your Sage method."
Elton stood stunned, though deep inside, it somehow felt… right. As if this was something he already knew.
Indeed, his inner voice had hinted at this very thing—though he'd resisted until now.
In fact, ever since he began focusing more on the White Lightning Star Sage technique, he'd noticed something troubling: the inner voice seemed to grow stronger, as though feeding off his progress and subtly reinforcing its hold over him.
Yet, strangely enough, it was under the training and spiritual pressure of Master Bluesonics that he had finally begun to reclaim control. With every session, the grip of the inner voice weakened. It had become quieter.
Still, one thing continued to disturb Elton deeply: he couldn't sense Master Bluesonics's cultivation at all. Not in the slightest.
Whenever he or Ramiro tried asking about the man's strength, Bluesonics would just laugh it off with the same reply:
"I'm stronger than you. That's all that matters."
Then came the familiar smirk.
Ramiro would always explode in frustration after such evasive answers, while Elton had grown used to them. Over time, he simply accepted it. Still, he couldn't ignore the gaps in his memory whenever it came to this man. Sometimes entire moments, hours even, would seem to vanish.
By now, Elton no longer believed Bluesonics was merely a Mortal Shedding or Soul Tier expert. Not even Master Tier.
Could it be...? Was he someone at the mythical Grandmaster Tier?
He had no proof—just a creeping instinct that whispered: this man is unlike any other.
Even his inner voice, the one that never bowed to anyone, now seemed… cautious.
"Come. Your training doesn't end just because you've become a Golden Lord," Master Bluesonics said, flashing his teeth in a wide grin. "We'll continue in the Grand Sword Chambers."
Elton sighed. Deep down, he knew this was only the beginning. He followed his enigmatic master, a tangle of questions still swirling in his heart.
"Let us begin."
Within a special cultivation chamber hidden deep inside a secret realm of the Bright Brilliant Blade Sect, Christy sat in silent meditation.
Power surged violently around her, swirling in vibrant pulses of gold, red, and rainbow-hued energy. A moment later, her eyes snapped open, and a faint transparent beam shot out from them, extending about a foot ahead before dissipating.
Her gaze focused sharply in a singular direction.
The Aka Boshi no Tengan—her unique ocular ability—was fully activated, but it had visibly evolved. Within the glowing crimson of her pupils, golden script-like runes now shimmered faintly.
"Gege has broken through..." she murmured. "As expected, he's already at the peak of Gold Tier 5 right after breaking through."
She closed her eyes briefly, sensing the truth of her words, and continued her thoughts aloud:
"Thanks to that... thing lingering inside him—and this Star Gem—my Aka Boshi no Tengan has begun to evolve as well. I can see things much more clearly now. I'll break through in a few days too... and if this keeps up, I might actually have a real shot at the Mortal Shedding Realm once my Aka Boshi no Tengan fully evolves."
Her expression softened. Over the years, Christy had grown into an astoundingly beautiful young woman—her long golden hair with white streaks flowing with radiant energy, and her caramel-brown skin glowing faintly with her cultivation aura.
She smiled gently in one particular direction, then closed her eyes again to resume her meditation.
Meanwhile, in the Grand Sword Chambers, two individuals stood amid swirling chaotic energy. Cracks ran across the ground and walls, remnants of the violent clash that had just taken place.
A middle-aged man in the robes of a Bright Brilliant Blade Elder, his Mortal Lord aura suppressing the air, burst into laughter.
"Whew! What an incredible disciple our sect has raised! A peak Golden Lord before the age of 20! Hahaha! Truly a genius among geniuses!"
Elton stood respectfully and bowed.
"Thank you, Elder. I still have much to learn."
"Hehehe, indeed you do," the Elder replied with amusement. "But to think you could force me to use this much strength…"
He stepped forward, his voice more formal now.
"From this point forward, by the will of our Sect Master, you are hereby named one of our very few Brilliance Sword Exalt Disciples. You now stand above our core disciples Golden Lord Blue Heavens Sword. I look forward to seeing how far you'll rise."
"Ah! Thank you, Elder!" Elton bowed once more, his heart filled with complex emotion.
The Elder left the chamber, laughing heartily, his pride in the sect's rising star impossible to contain.
"Ohh, how nice. But it's to be expected, eh, boy?" came the familiar voice of Master Bluesonics, who stepped forward with a smug smirk.
"It's all thanks to your teachings, Master," Elton replied earnestly—then sighed. "That aside, I get the feeling I've just been handed a lot more responsibility…"
"Hehehe, oh, you most certainly have. The title of Brilliance Sword Exalt isn't handed out lightly. Those who've earned it are considered special cases—above Core Disciples, but not quite Elders."
"Every person who has received this honor has gone on to claim the highest positions in the sect. That includes the Sect Leader, Vice Leader, Great Elders, Sword Guardians, even the Grand Elder."
Bluesonics paused and gave a teasing grin.
"The full might of the Bright Brilliant Blade Sect is near the pinnacle of the entire Desert Red Star Continent. Even the Red Star Empire hesitates to provoke the sect lightly. That's the weight behind your new title."
Elton blinked in astonishment.
"Is that so…? Then Master… could it be you are one of those people they are wary of too?"
Bluesonics burst out laughing.
"Bwahaha! Always digging into my past, aren't you? Don't worry about my origins, kid. Maybe someday, when you've truly stepped into the world of Terraplane—and beyond—you'll understand."
Elton could only shake his head with a tired smile.
His master's mysterious identity still eluded him. His inner voice, once boastful and ever-critical, had grown quiet and almost… respectful since Bluesonics entered their lives. Whatever his Master's true strength or origin was, it wasn't anything Elton could grasp yet.
Elton could only shake his head and shrug his shoulders. For now he would continue his training until he was made to move about once more.
