Chapter 129: Three Years Later
Three years had passed since the end of the war against the Rackshalla Clan in Brawlmanica, and much had changed.
Two Months After the War
By the second month, the remnants of the Night's Light Devouring Church, Sussuri Oscuri, and the Anti-Brawlmanica Alliance had been either captured, imprisoned, expelled, or outright eliminated. They were no longer a visible threat within the Kingdom.
Around this time, most of the external sects—those not originally from Brawlmanica—also withdrew, now seen only near the dimensional gate, which had become a strategic focal point.
Christy began preparations to return to the Bright Brilliant Blade Sect along with Shia and various members of the Aka Boshi no Tengan Clan. Her identity as the masked Heavens Star Eyes remained concealed, but she had earned great favor and acknowledgment from the Royal Family and high nobles of Brawlmanica.
3 Months After the War
By the third month, Ramiro was officially honored as the Dragon Spear Hero of the Leon Clan, while Carlos Jr. was similarly awarded as a future Dragon Spear Guardian. The clan's elevation to a Viscount House proceeded smoothly.
Although talks of being promoted to an Earldom emerged, it remained speculation—a royal decree from a sitting king would be required for such a title.
From all corners of the kingdom and even beyond, people extended congratulations and sought to build ties with the Leon Clan—especially with Ramiro. Lion's Spearheart remained masked in public, wearing the White Star Radiance emblem across their uniforms to protect their identities. Ramiro, of course, complained constantly, but there was little he could do. Worse yet, his twin younger sisters had become significantly more troublesome than what he remembered...
4 Months After the War
By the fourth month, Erica was finally allowed to leave the Soloman Clan Estate, though not without a struggle. She had endured relentless nagging from her parents and elders, not to mention others within the clan who approached her with their own agendas.
Still, with her strength and growing maturity, she was granted access to certain clan secrets for the first time. Unfortunately, she was also introduced to two proposed fiancé candidates, which she rejected with vehement resistance.
Though her parents outwardly objected to some of her choices, they were—in secret—somewhat supportive of her decision to follow Elton. Should he reach the Mortal Shedding Realm, it was likely that the entire clan would not only approve, but see him as a valuable match. Their potential offspring would be seen as incredible future talents.
Fifth Month: Regional Shifts & Dimensional Gate
Near the fifth month, the regional wars among Brawlmanica's neighbors came to a tenuous halt. Focus shifted to reconstruction and preparations for the upcoming Meeting of Kingdoms in the Southeastern Region.
Around this time, the sects solidified their control near the dimensional gate. Although part of the Whispering Expanse collapsed, it unexpectedly opened a new dimensional passage—one that connected directly to another realm and country within the Southeast connecting directly to the Whispering Expanse True World on the opposite side.
Reactions were mixed. For some, this was a blessing—a source of new resources, beasts, and knowledge. For others, it was a disaster, bringing with it dangerous creatures, unfamiliar races, and the risk of renewed conflict.
Sixth Month: Engagement Announcement
In the sixth month, it was officially declared:
Ramiro and Princess Helga were engaged.
Ramiro was clearly overwhelmed by the news. While he didn't dislike Helga, he simply wasn't prepared for such a sudden and public commitment.
Helga, now 15 years old and standing at 5'6", was being groomed for nobility, while Ramiro—now 18 and towering at 6'7"—had grown both in stature and strength, having officially broken into Gold Tier 3.
Helga had also been accepted as a disciple of the Bright Brilliant Blade Sect, recognized for her rare and exceptional talent.
The Leon Clan, especially Carlos Sr., beamed with pride at both the engagement and Ramiro's rapid growth. His progress had become a source of inspiration for his siblings, all of whom had become noticeably more dedicated to their cultivation. Even Ricardo, the scholarly son, had begun pushing himself harder.
As for Seralily? She continued to proudly call herself the "Number One" of the Dragon Spear Hero, though only a handful of people were aware of this title—including the ever-oblivious Ramiro, who had only recently started realizing her intentions.
Interestingly, this period of time also marked the beginning of the struggle for the Kingship of Brawlmanica. At present, three contenders had stepped forward to challenge Fourth Prince Hunter for the crown. Two of them had long been suspected due to their past orchestration of political maneuverings. The third was a mysterious dark horse, whose background and support base were initially unknown.
The contenders were:
Jerome Helmsley – a son of the current Duke from the distant Helmsley royal bloodline.
Sir Bronson Hoover – a Marquis's son, who carried the Helmsley bloodline through his mother, the late First Princess who had married into the Hoover family.
The Dark Horse, Shaunem Michaels – a member of the Michaels family, descended from Brawlmanica's second Duke lineage, who once ruled the kingdom over 700 years ago.
The Michaels family had always retained a shadowy influence, despite losing political dominance centuries ago. Their ties stretched beyond Brawlmanica into foreign courts, although their power had gradually waned under the long-standing Helmsley regime.
Their rivalry with the Helmsleys had spanned centuries, often escalating into secret assassinations, covert alliances, and silent manipulation. Some whispered that the attacks on Princess Helga were part of their underhanded schemes, although no proof ever surfaced.
One Year and Two Months Later
After prolonged internal conflict, Prince Hunter's position as ruler remained unofficial, but was tentatively solidified. Preparations soon began for a much larger political event—the Grand Meeting of the Ten Nations.
Year 2, Month 3: A World-Stage Unfolds
The meeting finally took place after over two years of rebuilding, and it brought with it startling revelations.
Among the surprises was the arrival of a representative from the continent's most powerful nation—the Almighty Red Star Empire. This empire dominated the Northern Region of the Desert Red Star Continent, an area rich in magical and qi essence, resources, and military might.
Though recognized as the guardian of the continent during times of dire need (at least in theory), the Red Star Empire had its own internal problems. Even with all its might, it understood the danger of uniting the continent's other powers against it. An all-out war would spell mutual devastation, especially with powerful beings hidden within the rivers, oceans, and skies.
The meeting was tense and monumental. Deals were made, old alliances reaffirmed, and new plans formed.
Sects, kingdoms, clans, and even hidden experts attended.
Discussions ranged from resource sharing to defensive strategy, and interdimensional threats.
One shocking revelation was the emergence of a shakeup in power structure in the Grand Central lands of the continent—an area with 30% control under the Red Star Empire, and the rest divided by constant tribal and sect warfare.
There was also a rumor that a dimensional rift had likely begun forming there—one that revealed the giant bridge of legends to a sacred Skyland, possibly linking to a Middle Continent. If true, this would be a heaven sent opportunity for many experts.
Later it was revealed that It wasn't just Brawlmanica. Every major region on the continent was hosting its own Meeting of Kingdoms, preparing for what now seemed inevitable—a continental war against the Purple Starmist Continent.
Year 2, Month 7: The Floodgates Open
Five more interdimensional gates suddenly appeared across the continent, each forming pocket realms that bridged to the Purple Starmist continent.
Full-scale invasions began—on both sides.
Preparations to directly stage a full on war over the mighty seas splitting the 2 continents were also taking place. Armies gathered. Sects mobilized. Kingdoms fortified. And some ancient clans quietly prepared secret evacuation plans to ancestral lands possibly located beyond either continent.
Year 3
Sometime after the three-year mark, in a sealed cultivation cave, Elton sat cross-legged in deep meditation. His body radiated with a focused mixture of Qi and magic, refined and compressed layer by layer.
He had been in this state for nearly two months.
Then, without warning—BOOM!
A golden explosion of power erupted from his body. A radiant aura swirled around him like a cyclone as the air itself trembled. A faint shattering sound rang out.
"Looks like I've finally done it… It's almost within reach now,"
Elton said with a faint, confident smile.
