Han Joon-seong and Cheon Seul-ah took a taxi and headed home. When they got close enough, they paid the fare, got out, and walked the rest of the way.
As they walked, people stared at them. It was inevitable — both of them were exceptionally beautiful, and people simply adored to gawk at beauty. But this time, the experience was a little different than usual.
In the beggining, being stared at from a distance had been satisfying. It fed Ervin's ego, knowing that people found him handsome. But after a while, it had started to become annoying. People kept looking, and it was beginning to irritate him. Not to mention.
He glanced at Cheon Seul-ah. She shifted uncomfortably, pulling her coat tighter around herself to cover up more of her body.
Ervin, floating above, thought: 'It's really strange being stared at as a woman... It feels completely different.'
He watched as men's eyes lingered on her, Eyes full of desire and lust, like a pack of wolves, and she pulled her coat tighter, clearly uncomfortable.
Ervin sighed. 'Damn. I really need to think of a better way to walk around, this is simply unsustainable. I need to start thinking about getting my own vehicle.'
Cheon Seul-ah reached into her pocket and pulled out her phone. She opened the banking app. ANd she noticed the account was the same as Han Joon-seong's. The Money characteristic gave her access to the same account, not a separate one.
'So we share the same bank account now. Convenient but... i think buying a behicle will have to wait then, i only have 1 million remaining.'
He controlled Han Joon-seong and Cheon Seul-ah. Positioning him between her and the onlookers, using his body to shield her from their gaze.
'Can't people just mind their own business for one day?!' he thought, irritated.
They finally reached Han Joon-seong's apartment. They entered, and Cheon Seul-ah immediately began taking off her fur coat, leaving her in a long-sleeved shirt and black jeans. She tossed her suitcase into the middle of the room.
Ervin began to think. 'Alright. I have a new character now. The next thing I should do is contact Choi Yuna and tell her we can infiltrate the Kkachi-pa.'
Han Joon-seong nodded. "The Kkachi-pa is the only gang we don't have any information about. We haven't interacted with them at all. It would be good to have someone inside."
Cheon Seul-ah looked at him. "Alright, but how do I explain this? How do I explain a second character?"
Han Joon-seong considered. "Maybe a cousin? Someone who came to Busan?"
She shook her head. "But the last names are different. Even the ID is different."
She shrugged. "To be honest, I don't even know if my identity is real. The parents' section on my ID is completely redacted."
Han Joon-seong sighed. "Yeah, I guess."
Cheon Seul-ah suggested, "Maybe a friend?"
He looked at her. "Would she trust you recommending a random friend she's never met?"
She looked back at him. "I think so. She trusts us, so maybe she'll trust you."
They stared at each other for a moment. Then both sighed in unison.
"I'm talking to myself," they said together.
Han Joon-seong shrugged. "Well, at least it helps clarify things."
She nodded. "Right."
She looked around the apartment. "Wow, we really don't keep this place clean, do we?"
Han Joon-seong looked around. Noticing it too, "I guess I never really noticed. Well, let's clean it."
They started cleaning. Ervin controlled both of them, moving them through the tasks — putting clothes in the washing machine, sweeping the floor, wiping down the sink, throwing away old food from the fridge.
As he worked, Ervin found it strange controlling two bodies at once. Before, Han Joon-seong felt like an extension of himself — like his thumb. But now, controlling two bodies felt like holding two action figures in his hands, moving them simultaneously.
Of course he wasn't controlling every tiny movement — Auto Pilot completed the actions for him. But he still had to give directions to both bodies, which felt strange from his perspective.
After about two hours, the apartment was clean.
They stood side by side, looking at the transformed space.
Han Joon-seong said, "Looks completely different."
She nodded. "Doesn't it?"
They kept staring for a moment.
Then Ervin released control of both bodies. Han Joon-seong's Auto Pilot made him stand still, while Cheon Seul-ah's Auto Pilot led her to the computer chair, where she sat down.
Ervin, floating above, pulled up the status window. He focused on Han Joon-seong's status, then shifted to Cheon Seul-ah's. The mission was there — the scouting mission about the talents arriving in Busan. It was on both of their screens.
He stared at the mission, thinking.
'It says "talents that are arriving." But how exactly are they arriving? By plane? I don't even know if Busan has an airport. Maybe by bus. Or... maybe by KTX.'
He paused, remembering earlier. 'Damn, I should have checked earlier. Whatever. I'll check later.'
He pushed the thought aside.
'For now, I need to call Choi Yuna and introduce Cheon Seul-ah to her.'
Han Joon-seong picked up his new phone and scrolled through his contacts until he found Choi Yuna's number. He pressed call.
The phone rang for a few moments. Then, a familiar voice answered from the other end.
"Hello?"
Han Joon-seong spoke calmly. "Miss Choi. Hello. How are you on this fine afternoon?"
Choi Yuna's voice came through, a little distracted. "I'm well. Taking care of some Galsaek-pa business."
She paused, then continued. "You've been quite active since our last meeting, haven't you? I heard you dismantled another criminal operation."
Han Joon-seong smiled slightly. "Yeah, I dismantled a few."
She paused again, her tone shifting slightly. "And, just to be sure... do you have any relation to those people who were brutally beaten in that jewelry store robbery yesterday?"
Han Joon-seong said nothing. He simply remained silent.
Choi Yuna let out a small laugh. "Alright. Okay. Understood."
Ervin spoke through Han Joon-seong's mouth. "Listen, I have an offer for you."
Choi Yuna's voice sharpened with interest. "What kind of offer?"
"I've acquired someone who can help us with our goals."
"Acquired? What kind of person?"
Han Joon-seong shrugged, even though she couldn't see it. "A friend. If you want, I can introduce you to her."
There was a pause on her end as she considered. "And how exactly could this person help us?"
Han Joon-seong leaned back. "You said it yourself — having people in the other gangs would be good for the plan. I have someone we can place inside the Kkachi-pa."
Choi Yuna was quiet for a moment. Then she spoke, her voice measured. "I wasn't talking about just any kind of person. I was talking about people who could reach Executive level."
Han Joon-seong replied evenly. "I know. And I have that kind of person."
Another pause. Choi Yuna's tone grew more serious. "You know I'm not accepting just anyone, right? This isn't some casual job where you can bring in any friend you're close to."
Han Joon-seong let out a small laugh. "Ah, no, no, I know that. Don't worry. I'm sure she'll be very useful to our interests. Very useful."
Choi Yuna pressed. "Are you sure about that?"
Han Joon-seong paused for a moment, then replied with complete confidence. "Yes. 100% sure. I'll make sure she's useful to our operation."
Another pause. Then Choi Yuna spoke. "Alright. I'm free at two in the afternoon."
Han Joon-seong nodded. "Good. Two in the afternoon, then. We'll meet."
"Alright," she said. "See you then."
She hung up.
Han Joon-seong pocketed the phone and turned to Cheon Seul-ah, who had been listening quietly.
"Now we just wait," he said.
She nodded back at him. "Now we just wait."
