Rouke looked at Alex, then at Sarah, and said as he walked away,
"You tell him everything. I'm going to rest a bit and try to think of something."
Leaving those words behind, he sat down beside Tiffany.
"You should sit down. It's a long story," Sarah said bitterly as she sat on the cave floor. Out of courtesy, Alex also sat down.
Sarah took a deep breath and began to tell her story.
"It all started on the first day. There were about fifty-five hunters. Five of us were experienced hunters and were responsible for the mission, led by Rouke."
Hearing that there had been more than fifty of them, Alex nearly choked as he tried to imagine the horrors that had reduced such a number to only three. Sarah paid no attention to the strange expression on Alex's face and continued.
