Chapter 33 – Questions and Answers, Part 1
The look Tiffany gave Alex hurt him deeply, but now wasn't the time to deal with personal matters. He wanted badly to clear up the misunderstanding between them, but this was not the moment.
The first problem he had to face was the dungeon cleanup, which had turned out to be far more dangerous than expected. The second was his sister there was no one else in his family who could take care of her or rescue her.
Tiffany stood in a defensive stance, ready to attack at any moment. She had probably found some way to suppress her fear and now displayed that fierce gaze. But Alex had known her for five years and dated her for two.
He knew her well or so he thought. In any case, it was better to try to relax a bit and handle the situation calmly.
"Let's calm down a little. I don't intend to harm anyone. I'm from the Hunter Association,"
Alex said, raising his hands in a gesture of peace.
