"Isn't it interesting?~"
A voice.I heard a voice I didn't recognize, yet it felt… familiar.
I tried to open my eyes, but they wouldn't move. All I could see was a blurred figure, dressed in white. The voice drew closer.
"It's not common to see someone bearing the fruit of my labor… in another world~."
It was a woman's voice—soft, melodic—but I couldn't remember who she was. The figure came closer, gently cupping my cheeks and lifting my head so I'd face her.
Even then, I couldn't see her clearly. My eyes were barely open, and her features were hidden by light—but I could see the curve of a gentle smile.
"I've seen the pain and suffering of this world," she whispered. "Tell me, little one… would you help me relieve its people from that pain?"
Her tone was warm and caring, but her voice grew fainter—muffled, distant, fading with each word.
Before disappearing completely, I heard her one last time:
"Seems like someone isn't happy to see me… We'll meet again, Zenith CrestFallen."
Then she was gone.
As I sank back into the void, another presence appeared.
An eye—staring directly at me with pure disdain and irritation. A diamond-shaped light flickered within it, and then a deep, echoing voice spoke:
"YOU. DO. NOT. BELONG. HERE."
The voice spoke in a language I didn't understand—and yet, somehow, I understood every word.
Before I could think, consciousness fell away again…
…
…
…
Beep… Beep… Beep…
I slowly opened my eyes after that strange dream.
"Bright…" I muttered.
The first thing I saw was a bright white ceiling. A hospital room.
I tried to move, but my body was stiff, heavy. Turning my head, I spotted the medical equipment beside me—an ECG monitor quietly tracking my heartbeat.
I also noticed the respirator attached to my mouth. Well, that made sense. After taking a hit from a damn ballista, it'd be weirder if I didn't need one.
I tried to sit up—painfully. My body protested every inch of movement. But I managed.
Looking at my left arm, I was surprised—it was there.Regenerated.
Someone had healed me.
I scanned the room. Definitely a Rhodes Island medical ward. I was alone—except for the PDA sitting neatly on the bedside table.
"They didn't take it?"
I reached for it. A sharp pain stabbed through my abdomen and arm.
"URGH!" I gritted my teeth, but forced my hand forward. After what felt like forever, I grabbed the PDA and leaned back, waiting for the pain to fade.
"Fucking hell…" I sighed, catching my breath. Once steady, I turned it on.
The screen flickered to life—displaying my status. The one I hadn't checked before everything went to hell.

I sighed after reading it all.
"I didn't expect my phobias to come with me…"
Yeah. I was screwed. There were plenty of enemies in this world that looked like insects or spiders—and worse, some Abnormalities like Spider Buds or Queen Bee.
As I was lamenting my future mental breakdowns, the door opened.
Three people entered.
First—a woman with ashen-gray hair with a faint green tint, cat ears, and a green dress beneath a white doctor's coat.
Second—a woman with white hair and red eyes (no pun intended), wearing a black dress, black stockings, and a white medical armband.
Third—Amiya.
They all looked at me.Amiya seemed relieved I was awake. The white-haired woman looked at me with unsettling curiosity—almost like she wanted to devour me (help). The cat-eared woman was calm, unreadable.
The latter approached, followed by the others. She pulled a chair beside the bed, clipboard and pen in hand.
"Hello, Mr. Veil. It seems you're finally awake," she said with a composed tone. "I am Dr. Kal'tsit, Head of Rhodes Island's Medical Department. I'm here to thank you for assisting in the Doctor's rescue… and also to conduct an investigation."
Her voice was calm, precise, and serious. Amiya stood beside her, nervous—because if Kal'tsit was investigating, it meant something was serious. The white-haired woman, meanwhile, was still staring at me like I was lunch. Wait—was she salivating?
I shook that thought off."What do you need to know?" I asked, meeting Kal'tsit's gaze directly.
"Name, age, occupation, race, place of birth, and gender. We'll discuss more important matters afterward." She glanced briefly at her clipboard.
"Zenith CrestFallen. Nineteen. Unemployed. Human. Not from Terra. Male."
Kal'tsit paused mid-writing, looking up sharply. "...Not from Terra?"
"Exactly what it sounds like. And before you ask for details—I'd prefer to explain privately." I looked at Amiya, who seemed confused. "Nothing personal, Amiya," I added with a small smile.
Kal'tsit hesitated, then exhaled. "Amiya, Warfarin—please step outside."
Once they were gone, she locked the door and faced me again, still serious. "Now explain yourself."
"You don't need to be so cautious," I said flatly. "You could kill me easily in my current state. Especially if you summon Monst3r."
Her eyes narrowed. "How do you—"
"Simple," I interrupted. "I'm not from this world. But I know it—because, in my world, yours exists as a game."
Her expression darkened. I continued before she could respond.
"And before you start doubting reality—don't. Your world is real. It's just that, in the vast Myriad of Worlds, each one reflects another differently. Some as stories. Others as games. Some as places we can actually visit."
Kal'tsit pinched the bridge of her nose, processing everything, then sat down. "Then tell me—why are you here, and what do you want?"
"I don't know," I admitted. "One moment I was asleep, the next I woke up inside a Sarcophagus—like the Doctor's. As for what I want…" I paused, then smiled faintly. "I was just an ordinary guy—unemployed, aimless. But now that I'm here, and since I know what this world is… I want to help you. To find a cure for Oripathy. To ease this world's suffering."
My voice was honest. I wasn't trying to be a hero. But if I could do something, why not help the only group that truly cared?
Kal'tsit's expression softened slightly, though her tone remained professional. "And how exactly can you help us?"
"Simple." I raised the PDA in my hand. "This device connects to the Myriad Worlds. It grants me abilities, items, and rewards based on my actions. I'm offering to use it to assist Rhodes Island."
Kal'tsit took the PDA, examining the interface—scrolling through Status, Gacha, Inventory… Her eyes widened slightly as she realized the potential.
"What do you want in exchange for using this ability?"
"I want to join Rhodes Island," I said, smiling genuinely. "And live a quiet life alongside you all."
She was silent for a while, processing everything. Then, finally:
"…Alright. If that's what you want, and you're willing to use that power to help the Infected, then so be it. I'll prepare an Operator registration form for you—and create an identity since you clearly lack one."
"I'm very grateful, Dr. Kal'tsit." I bowed my head slightly in thanks.
She stood, handed me back my PDA, and headed for the door. But before she could leave, I spoke again.
"By the way… you're really beautiful, Dr. Kal'tsit."
She froze for a brief moment, then continued walking out—closing the door behind her. I didn't see her face, but I think she was pleased. Maybe.
I exhaled deeply, finally relaxing. The stress drained from my body.
Opening my PDA again, I noticed dozens of unread notifications. I tapped the icon—and my screen exploded with alerts.
