after leaving "my" room i was visiting RI base to familiarizing myself
but expectantly…
i got lost… like REALLY lost
and like anyone else i was starting to panic trying desperately to find some indication or something but there was nothing, even looking for someone was hell because those hallway are fucking empty ! how is that even fucking possible !
but after what felt like an eternity i found something that gave me hope
{Training Ground}
"fucking finally !" i walk toward the door and while approaching i could heard fight so there was indeed people in there, i grab the doorknob and open the door
as the door open and i take a step inside the training ground something unexpected happen
an arrow pass beside me at breakneck speed grazing my cheeks, i froze trying to process the information my face darkened and my face show a blank expression and my eyes vacant, i start to sweat profusely and my hand refuse to let the doorknob go
everything happen in a few second then the fights stopped and they look at me especially the group wich the arrow came from, the archer and what looks like a vanguard look at me with a "oh shit" expression and the archer still in a shooting stance and the vanguard a defensive stance
looks like the vanguard just deflected an arrow from his opponent and that said arrow was the one grazing my beautiful and precious little headthaticarefuckinglotanddon'twanttolosebysomethingasridiculusasthat
while my mind was going crazy from a second life and death situation a systeme notification is displayed in my mind

"is that a fucking joke ?..." my voice sounded almost like a whisper as i didn't realised that i was speaking out loud

i was sitting on a chair with many other op watching the multiple squad doing field training etc, i was way to much in it to even realised someone was looking at me and even coming my way, once the said person was beside me i could hear their voice wich was a female (lucky bastard)
"Are you by any chance Zenith Crestfallen" the woman said with expectation and enthusiasm
i remove my focus from the training and look to my right to see a tall and beautiful woman with black blue-ish hair and a white techwear (idk how to describe outfit)and a black case slung to her shoulder
"yeah its me…" my voice slowly fade but my mouth still open, i was blushing mesmerised by her beauty
seeing my reaction she chuckle before snapping her finger bringing me back to reality "nice to meet ya im blaze" she extend her hand to me and i grab it shacking hands with her "i got the report from Dr.Kal'sits i was quite surprised to be honest but if you are joining us then it would be a pleasure to fight side by side !"
"thanks for the welcome even if im not officially hired" after we shaked hands we continue to talk about little things like taste, series etc
after a while blaze ask "her do you want to spar a little bit ? i heard what happened at chernobog and i wish to see what that ability of yours !" she flash me a beautiful smile and a thumbs up
"i don't mind but do you have somewhere private ? i was told to not disclose my ability to other operator beside the elite one"
"don't worry i have my own private training grounds follow me" she grab me by the arm and yanked me with her then she start going full speed while the many eyes of the other operator were looking at me shocked and confused
'how did that guys got miss blaze so fired up' ' lucky bastard !' that was what they were thinking for the most part
[15 minute laters | Blaze Personal Training Ground]
after a moment we were finally inside blaze "private" quarter where her PTG was located
we entered and Blaze readied her tactical chainsaw
"alright i hope you are ready because i won't go easy on you !" the chainsaw hum with impatience to be used
while she was talking i summon the broken biome blade wich was a black handle, a grey handguard and a black broken blade "before we engage into what look likes a fierce battle i wich to ask for something"
"and what is it ?" she ask curious about what he was going to ask
"if you judge i did pretty well during this fight or if i win would you let me treat you for a diner ?" i ask with a smile
"smooths bastard~ alright its good for me but if you do poorly or lose you will become my assistant for a week doing everything i say !" as she speak a little blush appear on her cheeks but quickly disappeared since the fight was about to begin
"its a deal for me" as my words falls i brandish my broken blade above me, suddenly the air start to accumulate at my balde before forming a white semi opaque blade with a bit of wind circling around the blade
then i point my blade toward blaze "En Gard Mademoiselle" a smirk draw itself on my face then i heard the chainsaw go full throttle but we don't move both now fully serious
we stare at each other frozen in place and silent like status the only sound was the engine of the chainsaw and the hum of my blade made of wind
the temperature slowly rise making both of use start to sweat a little, a bead of sweat pearled on my cheek then slowly go down to my chin then more came making the bead becoming a drop and falling into the ground
when the drops hit the ground we both lunged at each other with blinding speed before we locks weapon with each other
as our weapon clashed something clicked in blaze mind, my blade of wind was so much compacted that it almost felt like she was clashing against a metal blade wich reinforce her will to continue fighting
when she attack my blade follow with a defense pushing her back when her chainsaw was digging in my wind blade that reform quickly after sometime, then i take a step forward and my blade flow into the air like a gentle breeze before striking like a violent gust hitting her chainsaw with strenght and perseverance making her take a step back to make her defence more powerful
our clash continue and continue without anyone breaking to the other but as the fight continue the temperature continue rising making me sweat more and more and the air became more difficult to breath with
then with both our strength we push each other back a few meter and we lock our eyes in each other
"you aren't bad at all ~ i wondering if the report was underestimating your strength"
"well you see i was still discovering my ability so i wasn't that good back then and even now im just playing safe because im not confident to go full offense" i said half truthfully
"already then lets go to the next level !" she extend her chainsaw into a pole and flame start swirling around the chain
"ahahahah…. im so cooked" i was now laughing to my present self and my future self
she lunged at me with her weapon in front but i step dodge then i make the distance between her and me greater
blaze was now recovering from her lunged while turning my way ready to lunge again but at the same time i was preparing myself for an attack
my body was sideway, my feet were aligned and both my hand on the handle of my blade, the sword at head level and pointed toward blaze and i slowly pull back the sword
tell me do you know a certain blonde haired king ? if yes the nyou know whats following next
i exhale slowly white mist
suddenly wind start coming and swirling around my blade slowly then it accelerate more and more before it became a whirlwind of death
Blaze feeling the impending doom coming her way she brace herself and take a defensive stance
i look at blaze with a smile of sympathy then i take a step forward and my word now echoing through the field
[Sword Break : Strike Air]
i shot my blade forward and it shatter in thousand of pieces but as she shatters the wind that was whirlwinding around shot foward too into a giant moving gust
when the whirlwind striked blaze she was sent sliding across the ground for a dozen of meter while getting mutilated by little blade of wind
once she feel that the force has lessen she shot fward at blinding speed at me then pull her weapon backward and strike
a boom echoed then silence

once the dust had fallen and the wind calmed blade had stoppen her weapon right infront of my neck
we are both drenched in sweat and covered in dust while blaze was bleeding a little due to the multiple blade of wind
she was smiling and i was smiling too but it was a smile of defeat, i slowly raise my hand up while dropping my blade to the floor
"so… am i worthy of asking you to a diner ?" i was tired my body was screaming in pain
she straighten then turn off her chainsaw then put her hand on my shoulder "worthy ? yo uare more than worthy with this kind of performance im sure you will become a elite in no time !" she flash me a toothed smile
"hehe… worth it" i chuckled then look around to the mess we've made " so… how do we fix that mess ?" i point to the ground
"don't worry about that i will made a repair notice"
"alright if you say soo…"
i look at her and she look at me and we stay like that for a few minute
"can i… borrow your shower ?" i ask a bit embarrassed but i don't really like being dirty more then 10 second
"what a pervert ~" she look at me with a "ara ara" expression and as i was starting to panic she continue "nah im joking sure why not i also need a good cleaning" she tur untoward the exit and make a sign with her arm "follow me"
i sigh in relief then i start following her my body still screaming at me with resentment
