"With Wanda's current level, she's probably no weaker than me. Backed by the immense reserves of Chaos Magic, she never has to worry about magical depletion during training. The only difference between us now is likely combat experience."
The Ancient One thought to herself. She nodded to Wanda as a greeting, then turned and left.

After not seeing each other for so long, their reunion did not contain as many topics as imagined. Just like before, there was a heavy silence.
Han Yu was the first to speak. After a moment of hesitation, he asked, "You weren't mistreated there, were you?"
"Nope. Right now even the Ancient One can't bully me, so no one else could." Wanda's eyes curved like crescent moons as she smiled. "And you send me so much money every month—why? I can't even spend that much there. You've forcibly turned me into a multimillionaire."
Han Yu was somewhat speechless. Even though his own monthly allowance was only a few hundred thousand—or sometimes just over a hundred thousand—dollars, the money he sent Wanda had never changed: five million dollars every month. He was always afraid she might run into financial difficulties there.
He didn't want Wanda to suffer that kind of grievance.
"Why did you come back so suddenly without telling me?" Han Yu continued.
At this, Wanda's expression turned serious. "Something bad happened. This time it's very hard to resolve. It might require you to step in."
"Sit down and tell me."
Seeing her grave expression, Han Yu brought two chairs and sat with her.
After sitting, Wanda raised her right hand and traced a circle in the air with her slender fingers. A golden-edged floating mirror appeared before them.
"This is part of the Sanctum's monitoring system for certain regions of the universe. In the past, because the Sanctum only had one Sorcerer Supreme capable of shouldering the responsibility, and to avoid offending forces from other planets, this could only be used for observation—not teleportation or attack."
Han Yu nodded and looked into the mirror. The image reflected not their faces, but the vast universe.
As they watched, the scene began to zoom in, and Wanda's voice followed.
"This is a star system eleven light-years from Earth. The morning before yesterday, no fewer than thirty life-bearing planets were annihilated instantly. The speed was so fast there was no time to evade."
Han Yu saw a pale blue crescent of light sweep across dozens of planets spread far apart. Its speed was like someone swiping a phone screen from left to right—gone in the blink of an eye.
After the blue light passed, its glow became more solid, deeper in color. The planets it touched turned from vibrant to deathly white, collapsing in moments.
Han Yu's pupils shrank. "It's absorbing the life force of those planets!"
From their godlike vantage point, the light already seemed fast. The planets in view were all comparable to Earth—some even larger—yet they crumbled like dry soil after being touched.
The life on those worlds had no time to react before dying.
"At this rate, it won't be long before it reaches Earth. We must find a way to stop it!" Wanda said.
She turned to Han Yu for his opinion but saw his frown deeper than hers. "Han Yu, what's wrong?"
He came back to himself. "I know what this is. I know who released it."
Han Yu raised his right hand. A glow identical in color to the one in the mirror lit up in his palm—pale blue, though even deeper than the earlier shade.
"What is that? How do you have this?!" Wanda was shocked.
Was that destructive light his doing?
For a moment, her emotions churned. If it was him, what should she do? Should she stand with the countless dead and fight him? But she had come to the Sanctum because of him—how could she turn against him?
Seeing her conflicted expression, Han Yu tapped her forehead with a wry smile. "What are you thinking? Of course I didn't release that. The direction it came from clearly wasn't Earth."
"Oh! Right! How did I forget that!" Wanda slapped her forehead, dispelling her wild thoughts. "Then what is this energy? I can feel how powerful it is. Is there another one like it?"
Han Yu nodded and explained the Heart of the Universe.
After hearing it all, Wanda looked stunned. "It's really that powerful?"
Her Chaos Magic could affect cosmic levels in theory, but her realm was still Earth-bound. The Heart of the Universe sounded even more miraculous than her own magic.
"So that guy called Thanos is harvesting planetary life to complete his Heart of the Universe?" she asked.
Han Yu nodded. Finding fragments of the Heart of the Universe was even harder than collecting Infinity Stones.
The Stones at least had legends and sightings. The Heart of the Universe was practically just a name. Across the cosmos, only a handful of supreme beings and a few advanced civilizations even knew of it.
Gathering the fragments was unimaginably difficult.
Han Yu had also discovered that pure planetary energy could recharge the shattered Heart—but the conversion rate was absurdly low.
A life-bearing planet the size of Earth could only supply one-tenth of one percent of the energy needed for a single fragment.
The contribution was negligible. To fully restore the Heart this way, the universe itself would be ruined first.
