There was simply no way for planets to resist such an unreasonable act.
They could not even run. By the time the energy of the Heart of the Universe swept past, before they had even blinked halfway, the vitality of the entire planet had already been taken away by it.
Unless another planet happened to notice on its own, no one would even realize what had happened.
And it was impossible for planets to transmit information to those behind them. They were separated by more than a dozen light-years. A light-year is a unit of distance, not time.
Those planets might possess advanced civilizations, but even such civilizations could not send a message across more than a dozen light-years within a few seconds.
Even if they knew, there would be nothing they could do. It was utter despair.
"Is there any way to solve this?" Wanda asked.
"Yes. Very simple."
Han Yu raised his other hand. From his palm welled up a small spring-like stream of deep red liquid, coiling around his hand like a sentient puddle of slime.
"This is… the Aether particles?"
Having stayed at the Sanctum for so long, Wanda had learned about the forms, origins, and uses of the Infinity Stones. After all, the Sanctum possessed one of them—the Time Stone.
Han Yu smiled and nodded. The Aether particles were the Reality Stone. Since the Asgard incident, it had remained with Han Yu and had never been used.
Now, however, he had use for it.
"The thing they're using is similar to mine. In theory, I can also absorb that energy—but I have to be stronger than it. With my own power, plus the Aether and the Green Lantern ring's energy, surpassing it should be easy."
Han Yu narrowed his eyes. When he opened them again, they had turned a deep crimson, with no whites visible—just like Malekith, the Dark Elf, before.
With a thought, three kinds of light erupted from his body at once: azure blue, emerald green, and deep red. At the same time, the space around them began to twist and change.
Wanda suddenly felt the ground vanish beneath her feet. Han Yu reacted quickly and caught her.
She looked up and realized the two of them were now in outer space.
"This… this is the universe?" Wanda was astonished. She knew the Space Stone could perform spatial transfers like this—could the Reality Stone do it too?
Han Yu, his eyes still crimson, glanced at her. His appearance was somewhat eerie as he smiled.
"The Reality Stone's effect is to distort and rewrite reality. In other words, as long as I'm strong enough, I can twist reality into any form I want. Even turning the space I occupy into the path that the Heart of the Universe's energy will pass through—that's entirely possible."
Hearing this, even Wanda—who stood on Han Yu's side—felt a chill.
Han Yu usually did not appear to use the Reality Stone, yet he had already completely mastered how to use it.
From what he said, this Reality Stone seemed to be the most powerful of the Infinity Stones.
Han Yu gazed into the depths of space. There, a tiny speck of light—almost impossible to see with the naked eye—was steadily growing larger.
That was the energy released by Thanos from the Heart of the Universe.
"Found it." Han Yu smiled faintly, standing in the void with his hands in his pockets, quietly waiting for the energy to arrive.
"So gathering all six Infinity Stones to wipe out half the universe's life wasn't the power of all six Stones together—it was the Reality Stone's power. It's just that Thanos didn't have divine power. He was only an alien with extremely strong physical capabilities, so he had to rely on the other Stones and their energy to unleash the Reality Stone's full potential."
Han Yu thought this to himself. He had long wondered why all six Infinity Stones were needed to snap fingers. What kind of strange set bonus was that?
Only after he obtained a fragment of the Heart of the Universe and advanced to single-universe level did he understand: the Reality Stone alone could turn people to ash with a snap.
However, affecting the entire universe was another matter. Setting aside whether the Stone itself could manage it, the question was whether the holder was qualified—whether they possessed that level of divine power. That alone would stump 99.9% of beings in the universe.
Divine power did exist, but only a small number possessed it. For Han Yu, this kind of divine power was called "True Divine Power."
A Wanda who had trained to her peak—her Chaos Magic could be called True Divine Power.
Likewise, a Jean Grey who had reached her peak—her Phoenix Force could also be called True Divine Power.
But beings like Thor and Odin? They were merely super-technological aliens whose civilization surpassed Earth's by tens of thousands of years. They could channel natural and stellar energies into their bodies to wield.
Such beings could only be said to possess "pseudo-divine power," not true divine power. That was why, after so many years, Odin remained at the Heavenly Father level and could not advance further.
Their technological level only supported their bodies upgrading that far. Heavenly Father level was already the peak.
Han Yu, however, had Heavenly Father–level divine power granted by the General Store System. That was genuine divine power, not something achieved through technological body enhancement.
…
"Han, it's coming!"
With the Green Lantern ring Han Yu had given her, Wanda stood naturally in the void. She pointed toward distant space.
Han Yu looked in the direction she indicated. The light that had once been the size of a pinprick was now as large as a washbasin.
At this speed, it would reach the two of them in at most ten minutes.
"To instantly absorb the energy of an entire planet, it definitely won't be small. Looks like I need to make a bigger net."
Han Yu muttered. The energy of the Green Lantern ring and the Heart of the Universe intertwined and shot upward, beginning to weave something about a kilometer away.
Judging by the rough outline, he was actually using the two energies to weave a giant net.
Watching this, Wanda suddenly had a strange feeling… this was oddly down-to-earth.
"I suddenly feel like that energy isn't so terrifying anymore."
She was a little speechless. She had expected to see some grand, flashy spectacle. What she saw now was certainly extraordinary—but using a net to intercept energy, even if the net was made of two powerful energies, still felt incredibly grounded.
It was nothing like the epic scene she had imagined.
Too normal, hey!
"It's almost here!"
