"What the heck is happening?" I queried, but she turned around and was about to speak when the door of the kitchen opened, and standing there was a guard who bowed and walked up to me.
"Alpha seeks your presence."
I didn't know what to say, how to feel, or how to breathe at his words. Blood drained from my body, but I fought hard to move my legs and force my body to follow the guard.
He pushed the door open, and standing there was none other than Alpha Enzo. He stood by the side of the room with a shelf, as though going through something, but turned the moment the door opened, a grin on his face.
"You look just as beautiful as always this morning," he complimented, even before the guards could bow and leave.
I lowered my head, unsure of what to say as he moved closer. I instinctively moved backward, my heart drumming in my chest.
But his arms held onto my waist, securing me in place just before my back slammed against the door.
