Synopsis
Kasjia traversed into a wasteland world. Yellow sand and clouds of radioactive poison covered the surface of the earth, and the only human habitations left were fortress-factories behind bleak iron walls. He was determined to save it all. But before that, as the unloved youngest son of a powerful family on the planet, he was about to enter a political marriage with a female workshop worker. She was a beautiful young woman with white hair and purple eyes. Aside from being a little taller than everyone else, she was perfect in every other way. He was very satisfied. Until he heard her name was Fulgrim. What!? Fulgrim?! He was bewildered. He realized something was not quite right. He let out a cry like a Grot whose toe had been stepped on. ... Damn it, I've traversed into the world of Warhammer! And it's a Warhammer world where the influence of Slaanesh is as rampant as a flood! But, still able to grasp the situation, he remained determined to save it all. ... In the distant and dark 30th Millennium, aboard the Pride of the Emperor flagship. The La Fenice theater. Fulgrim, the Primarch of the Third Legion, once again removed her power armor gauntlet, showing off the Sagittarius golden ring on her left hand to the legionaries as if to boast: "...Thirty years. The thirty years I spent with Kasjia on Chemos may not be considered long..."

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Under the Skies of Chemos

Kasjia had transmigrated.

He had crossed over to a strange, wasteland planet.

From the crude phonetics of the locals, whose language had degenerated to the point of losing its written form, he learned the name of this world.

"Chemos."

A world that had lost everything, with nothing left but despair.

Even now, sitting within the cold iron walls, the mournful wail of terrifying radiation storms and countless violent particles striking the fortress never ceased.

There had never been good times here.

And he, Kasjia Sherlock, was in the Kalliston Fortress, one of the few remaining human sanctuaries on this dying planet.

A coffin.

That was Kasjia Sherlock's first impression of this place since his birth.

Outside the fortress was a zone forbidden to life.

And for the survivors within, all their struggles were futile, merely delaying the inevitable toll of the funeral bell as resources dwindled to nothing.

Fortunately, despite the harsh environment, his birth was not too shabby.

The Sherlock family was one of the ancient noble houses that controlled this human fortress.

Compared to the laborers who toiled endlessly on the assembly lines from the age of three, Kasjia, as the youngest son of the noble Sherlock family, was much luckier.

Though he was not favored, and was often the target of his older brothers' jealousy and exclusion.

For the past twenty years, he had been under house arrest in the family manor, never taking a single step outside.

The fortress was also a cage.

But because of this, Kasjia was able to enjoy a rare leisure in this sanctuary, surviving in the shadows of the high-walled aristocracy.

His repetitive and dull life continued until his twentieth birthday.

His long confinement finally saw a turning point:

He inadvertently learned of a deeply hidden piece of news.

A political marriage.

For this, Kasjia's several "good" brothers had long been fighting tooth and nail.

But he had been kept in the dark.

And if he hadn't overheard six servants whispering about it outside his door six days ago, the handsome Kasjia might have been eliminated from the contest before it even began.

According to the servants, the woman his brothers were vying for was a legendary figure in the Kalliston Fortress.

At fifteen, she had taught herself the mechanics of the production workshops, successfully improving the assembly lines and becoming a self-taught engineer in the sanctuary.

At twenty, by designing and building various new mechanical devices within the factories, she had greatly improved the workers' conditions and was elected as the new administrator of the Kalliston Fortress factories.

While winning the support and adoration of countless people, she rose to the ranks of the fortress's rulers.

Legend had it that she had a cascade of silver-white hair, captivating purple eyes, and a perfectly beautiful face to match.

Any machine that passed through her hands could be swiftly repaired to new, its production efficiency soaring.

According to the workers, she was the water goddess from local ancient legends, one who could bring sweet dew to the barren land.

Kasjia was unwilling to entertain such ridiculous claims.

To be able to survive on this dying wasteland planet while possessing stunning beauty, innate mechanical knowledge, and an absolute charisma that made everyone fall for her?

Impossible.

Such a perfect human being simply couldn't exist in this world.

His brothers, who believed such legends and were fighting over her, had either had their brains degenerate along with civilization back to a primitive state...

...or they were hallucinating from eating too many starch sticks.

That being said...

Subconsciously, these descriptions always gave him a strong sense of déjà vu.

But... regardless, if he could win the woman's favor and marry her, it seemed to be his only chance to escape his family's control.

He didn't want to be trapped in this cage called a fortress for the rest of his life.

He would sneak out to see her.

If he could successfully marry that woman, this family would no longer be able to imprison him.

Kasjia made up his mind. He took out a map of the fortress's secret passages from his drawer, along with a purple key that could open the manor's side gate.

It was a bit strange, really.

Even he couldn't remember where these things came from.

Reality is often more magical than legend.

This was a truth he had often realized in his previous life.

Tiptoeing quietly out of the manor, Kasjia looked around nervously.

For the first time, he was free from the surveillance of his many guards; for the first time, he had left his own courtyard, heading to the factory where his "potential fiancée" worked, following the address the servants had mentioned.

The plan went surprisingly smoothly—at the entrance of the usually heavily guarded manor, he didn't see a single guard.

Where had they all gone?

Kasjia didn't know.

And just like that, with an unobstructed path, he slipped into the lower factories of Kalliston.

Steel behemoths roared and bellowed, crimson forges spat sparks. Countless numb workers performed monotonous tasks on the assembly lines. In the factories of this dying world, efficiency was the only requirement.

He saw her, quickly.

She was the only graceful figure in this dark, cramped factory.

And in that single moment, Kasjia froze.

The servants hadn't lied.

His marriage prospect was indeed a goddess.

As an engineer, she sat beside a dark, ancient machine, her amethyst-clear eyes fixed on the parts in her hand, constantly adjusting and testing.

Her engineer's uniform was simple, yet it still outlined a strong and full-bodied curve.

And what drew the eye most was her long, white hair—beautiful long hair that flowed like a silent galaxy.

But... such beautiful hair was draped so casually over this dirty and ugly machine!

It was a monstrous waste.

But fortunately, even though the machine was spewing thick black smoke; even though she was barefoot, sitting on the floor of this filthy, poorly cleaned factory...

...not a single speck of grime dared to stain her flawless form.

She remained as pristine as new.

Perfect.

That was Kasjia's first impression of her.

The legends were all true.

His potential fiancée really was a goddess.

Just as Kasjia was stunned by her perfection, her repairs were finished.

After a reassembly so fast his eyes could only catch glimpses of afterimages, the machine before her started working again.

After her modifications, its rotation speed was even several degrees faster than its counterparts nearby.

Perhaps, Kasjia thought for no reason, the machine was atoning for its sin of defiling 'perfection'.

And just then, she turned her head and looked at Kasjia.

Another uninvited guest from the Sherlock family.

She stood up, her brilliant amethyst eyes now looking at the slightly timid Kasjia with keen interest.

Wow.

She's tall.

Kasjia looked up at her and couldn't help but marvel inwardly.

Even more exaggerated than the legends.

This goddess was a giantess, over two meters, almost three meters tall!

Even though Kasjia was from a noble family, and his height, physique, and appearance were top-tier compared to those malnourished souls who could only eat starch sticks...

...compared to the god-like woman before him, he could only feel ashamed of his own inadequacy.

Anyone would feel inadequate.

But at the same time, why was there that faint sense of familiarity?

Had he met her before?

And what was her name?

"Kasjia Sherlock."

His mouth was dry, his heart nervous.

He bowed stiffly, introducing himself.

"...The youngest son of the Sherlock family."

"Fulgrim."

Her voice was crisp and sweet, like honey that humanity in this world was not yet worthy of tasting.

She smiled and nodded at him.

Facing the successive suitors from the Sherlock family, she was already prepared with a polite response.

"F-Fulgrim?!"

However, Kasjia was completely startled by this.

The words that came out of his mouth were bizarre and unexpected.

He asked a question that wasn't a question.

"You're Fulgrim???"

"This Chemos... is... is that Chemos?"

He clutched his head, his pupils trembling.

His voice quivered slightly.

A ridiculous question, wasn't it?

Other than this Chemos, what other Chemos could there be?

"Um... yes?"

"My adoptive parents named me 'Fulgrim', which does indeed come from the name of a deity in the ancient myths of Chemos."

"But I am not that goddess."

Even though Fulgrim was a perfect being, faced with such a question, she had to ponder for a moment to understand what he meant.

In her view, Kasjia had probably mistaken her for the water goddess from Chemosian legend.

It wasn't the first time something like this had happened.

Her perfection was truly enough to strike people with the awe one feels for a god.

And in this brief silence, Kasjia blinked hard, as if his mind was processing some profound and obscure knowledge.

Soon, Kasjia understood.

He understood the origin of his handsome features.

He understood why he had heard six servants talking about this six days ago.

He understood why he had suddenly found the heavily guarded purple gate key.

He understood the dying planet he was on, Chemos, and the Primarch of the Third Legion he was facing, Fulgrim.

He understood he had transmigrated into the Warhammer world.

He understood it all.

Then, with a sense of release, he smiled.
