Kendall's eyes flung open at the sound of her alarm. She jumped off the bed and rushed into the bathroom for a quick shower.
"Someone woke up quite early today" Aliyah said as Kendall walked out of the washroom with her towel hanging loosely around her chest
"Have to meet up with my dad remember"Kendall said reaching for lotion
"Totally forgot.....would've loved to tag along but I have to meet up with mom later"
"Is it about that issue" Kendall asked raising her head to look at a now poignant Aliyah who nodded slightly
"Liya...youll be fine, I promise" Kendall said giving her a slight hug
"I know Kenny, it'll just take time" Aliyah muttered, her tone going down with each word
"When I get back we'll have a little chat" Kendall said as she walked out. Kendall gave her a slight smile and walked out.
Kendall got herself ready..... looking into the mirror satisfied with her looks. She had opted for something hot and flashy because she knew how her step mother and her daughters were.
Kendall alighted from the taxi, her eyes roaming around and she took more steps towards the mansion, the same place her mom chased her around in. She dabbed at her eyes in an attempt to hold herself from wailing. She got to the main door and rang the door bell, the door immediately opened like it had been in wait
"Ms Kendall" The tiny figure greeted with a bow, she was Aurora, one of the helps. Kendall gave a little smile and walked in, taking a deep breath
"Oh!!!! look who came crawling back" A voice shrieked from behind Kendall. She knew exactly who it was. She didn't look back, she just walked further into the porch and took a seat
"So you're gonna act like I'm invisible"Vanessa sneered walking towards Kendall with a smug look on her face
"Where's dad?"Kendall asked not even glancing at her
"This between me and you" Kendall froze, reluctantly moving to face the source of the eerie voice, the last voice she wanted to hear
"Hi step mother"Kendall said standing up
"Borrowed clothes? really now?" Mrs McCoy cackled as she walked majestically down the. stairs in full glam
"They're mine" Kendall managed to say, avoiding eye contact
"I doubt you can even afford to eat, after all you left your family to attend some dumb ass college"Vanessa chuckled moving closer to her mother
"At least I'm educated" Kendall said as she sat crossing her legs
"Are you saying I'm illiterate" Vanessa yelled, throwing off her smug look
"I never called your name in my statement did I"Kendall said moving her eyes up to meet Vanessa's
"You wretched witch!!, even with your degree you don't have a car"Vanessa japed staring into her eyes full with confidence as her mom stood by her
"How do you know I don't" Kendall asked, knowing that fully well she didn't even have half the capital to buy a car
"U came here on a bus.....or maybe on foot didn't you. I doubt if you have anything in your name"
"At least I earn my money and I don't depend on my dad for everything" Kendall said with a smirk
"Keep quiet you idiot!!!" Rosa shrilled, holding in her anger
"Mrs McCoy, I have said nothing wrong"Kendall said confidently as she stood up
"I know what'll shut you up, you're getting married" Rosa declared with a hint of superiority
"What" Kendall muttered,taking two steps back
"You deserve to suffer" Vanessa pressed as she cackled
"Suffer??, what do you mean suffer? where is my dad I have to talk to him" Kendall blurted reaching for her cell
"Honey.....your dad made the decision to sell you himself !!!!!" Rosa said, Kendall didn't miss the sarcasm in her voice.
"That's a lie my dad can never do that !!"Kendall balled
"Why not call and ask him??"Vanessa shrugged
"There's no need for that, it can't be cancelled anyway, it's in two weeks, and if you need money you can come scrub Nessa's feet for a hundred dollars" Rosa said and walked up the stairs
"Do well to make me some of your tea before you leave" She continued as she walked out of sight
"Just like the good old days Kendall, you're going to serve me" Vanessa shrieked with excitement before gulping down the last bit of wine in her glass.
Kendall just picked up her bag and walked out, numbly. She walked straight out the gates and brought out her phone, dialing her dad's number.
The line was not reachable.
"What should I do?"she asked, walking toward the bus stop. She got on the bus, silent the whole ride. Just as she alighted from the bus she saw a familiar male figure sitting in the bus stop. It was raining slightly and she needed to get home as fast as she could.
"Kenny" The chill voice echoed in the dark,the world seemed to pause as he stood up
"Kaido!!" She called out as he pulled her closer
"What are you doing here? are you okay????" she asked, he gave her a little grin and nodded
"I was being a responsible man and waiting for my baby"
"What if I wasn't returning tonight??" she asked as he led her to his car at the other end of the road
"I would've stayed and waited"
"You cannot be serious" she giggled as they got into the car.

"How was your trip" Aliyah asked settling on the couch as Kendall walked in with two bowls of cereal
"I'm getting married" Kendall said crouching next to her
"What!!"Aliyah gasped collecting her bowl
"It's my stepmom Liya.....I don't know how...or why"
"Have you talked to your dad" Aliyah asked before stuffing some cereal in her mouth
"His number isn't going through"
"Try again...I'm sure there's something behind this because I know your dad" Aliyah suggested. Kendall grabbed her phone and dialed her dad's number
"Hey dad" She said in a whisper as he answered the call
"Kenny I heard you came to the villa earlier"
"Dad what the heck is going on!!"She fired
"Kenny, listen it's for your own good"
"What do you mean for my own good" she blazed leaving her sitting position
"He's Aston Pierce" he coaxed
"Who the hell is Aston Pierce" she asked
"The richest man in the city Kenny"
"Richest man??"she said with a humorless laugh
"So all this is for your own financial benefits isn't it!!, you're selling me off for money" she said in antipathy.....there was no reply, he had ended the call.
"Fuck this!!"she exclaimed as the threw her phone across the room. How dare they??
"Calm down Kenny, it'll be sorted out"Aliyah comforted
"I'll go to his office tomorrow.....this cannot happen" Kendall said falling on the couch
