Kenny open your eyes" Aliyah yelled jolting Kendall out of her slumber
"what....what happened" Kendall jumped
"Your dad has been calling....are your ears fenced or something"
"Oh shoot" Kendall said grabbing her phone hastily
"38!!!how come"Kendall said as she dialed her dad's number. He picked up almost immediately
"Young lady you are in big trouble" Her dad roared from the other end. She didn't tremble she knew he wouldn't do anything
"Sorry Mr McCoy" she muttered hoping he would hear her
"I hope you didn't wake up in a club" he jeered, she laughed
"Come on dad.....don't be like that"
"I heard your graduation was magnificent....I'm. sorry I couldn't attend, I'll make it up to you" he said, his voice low
"Forget about it Mr McCoy" she said standing up
"Kenny....your mom and I want you in the mansion tomorrow"
"I don't have a mom remember" she said with an indifferent tone
"Kendall....."
"Dad I'll come.....for your sake not hers"
"it's alright then....be good, I'll credit you later"he said, she scoffed and looked at her nails
"Don't need it McCoy...see ya" she said ending the call before walking into the bathroom

"Do you feel like going out??" Aliyah asked walking in as Kendall dried her hair
"Kaido is coming over" Kendall said still peering into her mirror
"Ohhh I'm Soo jealous" she shrieked looking at Kendall who had stopped drying her hair
" Everything alright"
"He's not the same" Kendall sighed
"You two should talk it out....I can't stand you breaking up"
"We just might"
"Kenny"
"I don't know okay.....I'm tensed up"
" I'm going to see my parents...I'll be back by dusk
"Take care"
"I will" Aliyah said as she walked out.
Kendall went to the kitchen, about to prepare a meal for Kaido when she heard the doorbell ring. She hastily walked over and opened the door, it was Kaido
"Hey baby girl" he said placing a light kiss on her forehead, she faked a smile and led him in
"I didn't have enough time to make lunch" she said, her head down
"That's okay....you look very gorgeous today, did you get ready for me " he smiled....wasn't this how she looked everyday??
"You're flattering me Kai" she blushed sitting next to him on the sofa
"So....have you decided on where to work yet" he said looking at her
"No actually..." She paused as his phone rang, her eyes caught a glimpse of the caller ID as he hastily walked out to take the call. The contact was flooded with heart emojis.....he couldn't possibly cheat on her could he ??. They've been together for four years.....maybe she was just imagining things. Yes, because Kaido loved her. "Maybe it was a family member" she said trying to convince herself but she knew it wasn't clicking.
"Business call" Kaido said walking in, his face all red from blushing
"I have to go, call me later" he said. He was dismissing her again. She smiled and nodded as he walked away, this wasn't how he used to be, she would find out at all costs what diverted his attention so much.
Kendall found herself in deep thoughts for the rest of the day, she thought so much that she eventually had a migraine. If she didn't take medications on time, she could land in the hospital, that was how weak her immune system was. Aliyah had taken the last dose of painkillers and she had to get a new dose herself. She picked out a black hoodie from the rack and slipped had credit card into her pocket before dashing put of the apartment.
The queue at the pharmacy was quite long, it was one of those periods where fever was the main event. She stood in wait for 10 minutes before it finally got to her turn
"Hi....can I get a dose of painkillers" she muttered. The ache was worsening by the second
"What for" the pharmacist asked
"migraines*
"Sure....that will be $17.78"
"Can I get some water please"
"Of course" she grinned heading to the refrigerator
"Thank you" Kendall said with a slight bow before swiping her card and walking to the reception to take the medicine and rest for a while before she headed home.
"What does dad want to talk about now" She asked herself as she cautiously strolled on the sidewalk. Her dad stopped having time for her the moment he married her stepmother. If he wanted to have any conversation with her, it had to be strictly important.
She had a bad feeling about everything, and her instincts were never wrong...ever.
She got home and laid on her bed, unable to sleep. All she could think of was Kaido, and why he was acting weird.
"I'll just....forget about everything and trust him. What's the worst that can happen" She said turning on her bed. She grabbed her phone and scrolled through her contacts until she got tp Kaido's number contemplating on whether to call him or not.
Wasn't she being too desperate?? What if he needed to rest? What if another woman answered the call? What would become of her
Her head was spinning 360. She finally put the phone down and went to the bathroom
