Her head snapped up. "What?"
Dominic nodded slowly. "He claims he's your brother."
Elena's world tilted for a second. "That's impossible, I don't remember having a brother "
"He told me everything," Dominic continued quietly. "That you and he were sold as kids. He was saved by a wealthy man raised, trained, and hidden from that nightmare. But you…" his eyes softened, "…you ended up at the orphanage after the feds found you. He had pictures, Lena pictures of you as a child, and they matched the ones you kept hidden all these years."
Elena staggered back, her heartbeat slamming against her ribs." so I have a brother all this while ?"
Dominic stepped forward, his expression dark with guilt. "He wanted revenge, Elena. On the man who did that to you both. On your uncle the bastard who sold you out. He told me he'd come for you, but first he wanted to end that bloodline. To burn down the filth that destroyed your childhood."
