Joshua heard what the intruder said and couldn't help grin with a frenzied expression.John had told him that he had faced a mage once.This would be good experience for him.
The flesh construct braced its back which was covered in bony spikes.These bone spikes proceeded to detach from the intruders body and float around it.It Began a chant and those bone spikes all turned towards Joshua and launched towards him.
They were like a school of fish as they darted through the air aiming for Joshua.Joshua dodged to the side and headed towards the intruder who was chanting again.
The intruder was able to complete this short magical chant and its body was then covered in brutal spiky bone armour.The bone armour appeared dense and early weighed a bit though it didn't seem that way considering how the intruder was moving.
The intruder and Joshua then charged towards each other whilst Joshua was still being pursued by the bone spikes.If Joshua attempted to stab into the intruder and got his spear stuck then he would get stabbed from behind by dozens of bone spikes.This was especially likely due to the thick bone armour covering the monstrosity.
Joshua didn't have these thoughts as he was trying to prevent himself from falling into a complete rage.He instinctively knew that he had to keep moving.
He curved his charge and headed behind the flesh construct and stabbed into a gap between the thick bone plates.This was possible as Joshua was still faster by a lot whilst the intruder remained at the same speed.
This time with far greater force behind the spear thrust the spear head dug into the creatures back muscles and scales like a knife through butter.
Meanwhile the bone spikes that had been following Joshua stabbed into the intruders flesh although the vast majority of them ineffectually got stuck in the bone armour on its front.
This time the creature finished another silent chant and spun around.Joshua was somewhat surprised to see that the scythe like claws on one of its larger limbs was now connected to long strands of flesh.These strands of flesh were connected to the ends of its fingers kind of like having each of your digits connected to a chain with a hook at the end of it.
Joshua attempted to dodge but was caught in the chest by the edges of those scythe like claws.Five gashes opened up across Joshua's chest but no blood came out.This was due to the epic rank berserker rage skill which prevented the user from bleeding out or feeling pain.
Though Joshua immediately knew that this was incorrect as his body could still feel a shadow of the pain he would normally feel but his mind and body simply no longer cared about it.Epic rank skills clearly weren't simple.
Joshua stabbed again this time into one of the creatures main shoulders.The joint broke and the creatures right arm went limp.As Joshua was standing there he got punched in the face by one of the creatures smaller limbs.
Joshua was dazed for a second as the intruder swung with its tail and sent him tumbling but he was back up rather quickly.It was clear that anything short of dismemberment and death wouldn't slow Joshua down.This wouldn't last though.
The rage was beginning to fade as Joshua's clarity began to return.This also meant that his physical boost was falling away.Then pain returned as Joshua felt all his bruises and cuts as well as the gashes on his chest.
The creature appeared to notice Joshua's increased sluggishness and remarked on his efforts.
"You did quite well for a pest.You were able to partially cripple the creation of my denizens."
Before the flesh construct could advance it saw two new figures appear out of thin air.This was Arther and Katarina with the latter being surprised at the state of Joshua.
"Joshua are you okay?"
Katarina helped Joshua up and Arther used the healing aura skill to heal Joshua.Joshua's wounds began to close and heal at break neck speed.
Arther stepped forward and the intruder couldn't help but squint at the strengh of this one's presence.
Arther suddenly had a bow with an arrow in his hands.The arrow possessed an electrical charge as one could see the electricity coursing through it.Before the intruder could react Arther fired.
The construct spasmed as the metal arrow pierced its bone armour and dug into its flesh electrocuting it.
Arther had used two skills in tandem to achieve this result.The rare rank skills electric shot and piercing shot which both came from level 1 human archers.They made a fiercesome combination.
"Go ahead Joshua finish him."
