"DXD: Infinite Loot System"Chapter 352: The Might of Tenra
"Cao Cao, is that all you've got? You break one of my Sacred Gears and already look like hell?"
Tenra's voice rang out from the mouth of the towering samurai giant, mocking and merciless. Ame no Murakumo might be out of commission, but Tenra was far from defenseless—his arsenal was just getting started.
Cao Cao spat out a bitter laugh. "Seiōbō!"
In a flash, his form split into three, each one a perfect copy—Seiōbō's power in full effect. The cost in spiritual energy was steep, but the payoff was immense; unless all three Cao Caos were wiped from existence, his legend would endure.
"Let's go!!!"
The trio surged forward, splitting off in three vectors, each charging Tenra with murderous intent.
"Gravity field—engage."
Tenra's eyes narrowed, and the air itself seemed to buckle. The samurai giant radiated an invisible force; gravity spiked, crushing everything within several hundred meters. Bones groaned, muscles screamed, and all three Cao Caos were yanked to the ground, pain etched on every face.
"This is another little gift I picked up from your Hero Faction," Tenra taunted from his crystal perch. "How does it feel, fighting against your own comrades' power?"
For a moment, Tenra looked every bit the villain—smug, ruthless, savoring the payback. After all the chaos Cao Cao had unleashed—Kyoto, Ophis's stolen power—it was time to settle the score.
"Zōhōō!"
Cao Cao's faces twisted with effort as golden light enveloped all three bodies. With a burst of energy, they shot skyward, finally escaping the crushing gravity.
"Running won't save you!"
The samurai giant's hand shimmered, materializing a divine bow. Tenra nocked a shaft of pure energy, drew back, and loosed—a blue-green arrow, dozens of meters long, tore through the sky toward the airborne Cao Caos.
The arrow's speed was monstrous, trailing hurricanes in its wake. Every nerve in Cao Cao's bodies screamed danger; a direct hit meant instant death.
"Now!"
No time for clever maneuvers—they met force with force. Three spears thrust as one, colliding with the arrow in a flash of light and thunder. The impact sent the trio flying, blood spraying as they tumbled through the air. But their desperate strike nudged the arrow off course, sending it screaming past them toward the horizon.
A heartbeat later, the mountain in the distance vanished in a mushroom cloud, vaporized by Tenra's arrow.
Roygun and her peerage, watching from afar, could only stare in shock. Even the Maou themselves might struggle to match such destructive power. Yubelluna and the others, by contrast, gazed at Tenra with wild, unrestrained adoration.
That was their king. Their master. The man who defied gods.
Tenra laughed, exhilarated. "Again!"
He conjured another arrow, ready to unleash hell once more.
"Scatter!"
The three Cao Caos split apart, panic in their eyes. Light flickered and multiplied—suddenly, the sky was filled with clones, thousands strong, each indistinguishable from the real thing.
Seiōbō could only create three true copies, but illusionary decoys? As many as he wanted.
Tenra frowned, momentarily stymied. So many targets—who to shoot?
He grinned. "Fine. I'll shoot them all."
The giant loosed his arrow skyward. It pierced the clouds and detonated in a thunderclap, splitting into tens of thousands of arrows that rained down in a deadly storm.
"Block!"
Every Cao Cao spun his spear like a windmill, deflecting arrow after arrow. But the barrage was relentless, overwhelming. One by one, the clones were erased in explosions of light and agony.
When the storm finally ended, the battlefield was a wasteland—craters everywhere, the earth torn and battered. Only a handful of battered, gasping Cao Caos remained aloft.
"Tenra Kamiyo!"
Cao Cao was running out of options. His spiritual reserves were running dry, and Tenra's every move seemed designed to crush hope itself. Desperation flared in his eyes.
"Shōgunpō!"
The remaining Cao Caos transformed into golden streaks, hurtling toward the giant. The clones detonated on impact, sacrificing themselves for a chance at victory. Amid the chaos, the three true Cao Caos slipped through—one tore a gaping wound in the giant's abdomen, another pulverized its left arm, and the last blasted away half its head, shattering the crystal cockpit that shielded Tenra.
Tenra flinched, a nervous grin on his face. "Close call, Cao Cao. Looks like you're finally getting serious."
His expression hardened. "But getting close to me? That's a mistake."
A thick, swirling fog erupted from Tenra's body, engulfing the battlefield. Cao Cao recognized the threat instantly—Dimension Lost, Georg's infamous Sacred Gear. He tried to retreat, but the mist swallowed him whole, pulling him into a world of endless haze...
