"DXD: Infinite Loot System"Chapter 351: Holy Spear Versus Giant

Cao Cao, scion of legendary heroes, had spent his life chasing the limits of human potential. Power, intellect, and ruthless clarity—he wore the mantle of his ancestor with pride.

On the battlefield, he and Tenra stood as enemies. Their rivalry had shaped countless conflicts, and though Tenra respected the man, admiration wouldn't stop the reckoning that had to come. Not today.

And Tenra wanted more than victory. He wanted Cao Cao's True Longinus—the Holy Spear of legend.

Thunder rolled across the field as Tenra's spiritual energy surged. Under the gaze of the assembled crowd, a towering samurai giant took shape around him, armored in ancient steel, a blade of violet light at its waist, and a colossal, spectral mirror floating behind. The air itself seemed to bend—this was no mere warrior. This was a god reborn.

Roygun gaped, awe and disbelief fighting for space on her face. "What... what is that?"

Yubelluna's eyes shone with pride. "That's Lord Tenra's Imperial Regalia—three Sacred Gears combined: the Yata no Kagami, Ame no Murakumo, and Yasakani no Magatama."

Roygun's shock deepened. Three artifacts, fused into one form. The power radiating from Tenra's giant was overwhelming—a fresh reminder that this young man was full of surprises.

Grayfia, ever composed, simply nodded. "We should fall back."

The women took to the air, clearing the battlefield for the clash that was about to unfold.

Wind swept the empty field. Now, only Tenra and Cao Cao remained.

Cao Cao called up to the crystal embedded in the giant's forehead, where Tenra sat in command. "You're not using the Two Heavenly Dragons' power?"

Tenra's voice echoed, cool and unyielding. "I don't need Ddraig or Albion to defeat you, Cao Cao. Besides, you've already prepared ways to neutralize them. I'm not giving you that chance."

A sly smile played at Tenra's lips. He'd sensed it from the start—the familiar, lethal aura of a dragon-slayer. It was unmistakable.

Cao Cao chuckled, pulling a small vial of pitch-black liquid from his coat. "You caught on, huh? Samael's venom. I collected a bit after our last encounter—was planning to let you taste it if you brought out the dragons. But since you've seen through it, it's worthless now."

He tossed the vial away, then eyed the giant warily. "But are you sure about fighting me in that form? Power's impressive, but you lose agility. I'm a technique fighter—power types are my specialty. You should know that by now."

Tenra's reply was cold and sharp. "True, technique counters brute force. But brute force can crush technique just as easily. This samurai giant could take a hundred hits and keep standing. You, on the other hand—one hit and you're done."

With a thought, Tenra drew the violet blade from the giant's waist. Light blazed as he swung, sending a massive arc slicing toward Cao Cao.

The ground screamed and split open, the blade's energy tearing a bottomless trench that vanished into the horizon. Cao Cao dodged by a hair, sweat beading on his brow. One misstep and he'd have been obliterated.

Tenra's voice thundered. "Understand now, Cao Cao?"

He raised the sword again, grinning. "Let's see which is stronger—technique or power!"

The clash began in earnest.

The battlefield trembled with every strike. Cao Cao's Holy Spear extended, punching clean through the samurai giant's chest—yet the wound was meaningless. The giant lifted a foot and stomped, earth shattering beneath its heel. Cao Cao leapt skyward, heart pounding. Had he hesitated, he'd be nothing but a smear on the ground.

The attacks kept coming. The giant's sword swept horizontally, a wall of energy barreling toward Cao Cao. He boosted himself higher, narrowly dodging the blade, but the shockwave caught him, hurling him thousands of meters away.

Dizzy but undeterred, Cao Cao steadied himself midair, his fighting spirit ignited.

"Holy Spear—crush it!"

His spear lengthened, whistling through the air like a divine club. It slammed into the giant's chest, forcing the colossus back several steps—but that was all.

Tenra laughed, the sound rolling across the field. He drove the giant forward, leaping at Cao Cao, unleashing a barrage of sword swings and brutal kicks. Cao Cao dodged, frustration mounting. His spear pierced the giant again and again, but unless he struck Tenra himself, the wounds healed instantly.

Technique could counter power, but power could flatten technique. For the first time, Cao Cao felt powerless—outmatched by sheer force.

Tenra roared from the heart of the giant. "How long will you keep running, Cao Cao?"

Blood pounding in his ears, Cao Cao stopped, resolve hardening. Enough running. He had power too.

He activated the Holy Spear's Balance Breaker. A halo and seven shining spheres flared into existence behind him, energy crackling in the air.

Cao Cao lunged forward, spear poised. "Polar Night Longinus Chakravartin!"

The golden spear shot out like a bullet, meeting the giant's descending sword in a collision that seemed to freeze time.

BOOOOOOM!

The explosion shattered the giant's blade, sending Cao Cao flying. He crashed and bounced across the ground, gouging a deep trench before finally coming to a halt.

Ame no Murakumo—the violet blade—had been destroyed by Polar Night, the Balance Breaker's weapon-shattering ability. Cao Cao had won the exchange, but the cost was steep.

Blood dripped from his lips as he staggered upright, spear trembling in his grasp.

"What terrifying power..." he muttered, fighting to steady his shaking hand.
