Ultron seemed to be engaged in some kind of difficult mental struggle. After assimilating J.A.R.V.I.S., he inevitably became influenced by J.A.R.V.I.S.'s code—torn between his own consciousness and judgment and the underlying code set by Tony Stark.
"Ultron?" Bruce Banner called out, surprised.
Though he didn't know why, the feeling was instant and intense.
Ultron answered honestly, "Yes, it is indeed me!"
"Oh… not yet, still not fully formed!"
"Ready to execute the mission!"
His responses were fragmented, somewhat incoherent, revealing that his personality had not yet fully stabilized.
"What mission?" Natasha asked.
"Our peace," Ultron replied calmly.
No sooner had he finished speaking than a batch of freshly manufactured Ultron robots smashed through the walls, attacking everyone and even seizing the Mind Stone from its place in the hall.
The battle was brutal and caught the Avengers off guard. At such close range, some couldn't fully utilize their powers—especially Thor and Hulk.
Gradually, though, the Avengers suppressed the robots, taking them down one by one. Only two ordinary humans, Helen Zhao and Bruce Banner, were present, while even S.H.I.E.L.D. agents present were skilled enough to handle themselves.
Yet, they saw the Mind Stone was taken by one of the robots.
When only one damaged robot remained, it spoke: "It's so dramatic. Sorry, I know your intentions are good, you just don't understand. You want to protect the world but not let it evolve. How can humanity be saved?"
"If you won't let it develop… relying on them? On these puppets?" Ultron grabbed a broken robot and crushed its head. "The only way to achieve peace is to exterminate you!"
Immediately, Thor smashed him with Mjolnir.
But the robot left one last cryptic message: "Freed from the wires, I am free!"
Meanwhile, in Eastern Europe, in the remnants of a castle once attacked by the Avengers in Sokovia, lights flickered on and a robotic factory began operating.
The Avengers gradually realized Ultron's intentions and that he had eliminated J.A.R.V.I.S.
Thor, furious, nearly came to blows with Tony Stark. The team was on the verge of splitting apart.
Then Ultron made his true debut—a powerful, imposing super robot—appearing before Wanda and Pietro, subduing them as his pawns.
Using their powers, he ensnared the team in their deepest fears. Each Avenger faced their worst nightmares—a display of Wanda's abilities.
It soon became clear why Hulk had fought the Hulkbuster armor: Bruce Banner had inadvertently entered Wanda and Pietro's vicinity, allowing Wanda to manipulate his mind, causing Hulk to rampage through a human city.
Tony arrived just in time to contain the chaos using the Hulkbuster, subduing Hulk after a fierce battle.
The weary Avengers returned—not to a base, but to Clint Barton's home.
"Clint, we had no idea you had a wife and kids!"
SHIELD agents were surprised, but Barton shrugged. Family was his softest spot, and he wouldn't expose them. Only Natasha and Fury knew this.
Meanwhile, Ultron had located Dr. Helen Zhao to obtain her regeneration cradle, capable of printing biological tissue—exactly what Ultron needed. He aimed to create a human-like body, a "new human," to replace the old. Using vibranium and the Mind Stone, he planned to transfer his consciousness into this body.
Wanda, curious, peeked into Ultron's mind and glimpsed a horrifying plan: Ultron intended to crash meteors into Earth, aiming for total annihilation—not just the Avengers.
Even a single massive object from high orbit could cause catastrophic destruction, the same way dinosaurs were wiped out. While the planet itself might survive, humanity would not.
It became clear to Wanda and Pietro that Ultron's target was all of humanity, not just the Avengers.
"Those two aren't truly evil—they just went down the wrong path," Captain Rogers observed.
A fierce struggle ensued. The Avengers ultimately seized Ultron's prepared body, but Natasha was captured in the process.
Tony activated his plan, attempting to upload J.A.R.V.I.S. into a new robot designed to counter Ultron. This nearly caused a schism within the team, almost escalating into the Avengers' first internal conflict.
Unexpectedly, Thor summoned a lightning strike, completing the activation. A silver-and-red figure materialized.
"It's Vision!"
The audience immediately recognized him, despite his semi-nude form at the moment—it was unmistakably the Vision.
A floating comment read:
"Thor's hammer delivered a husband to Wanda! Should she send Thor a matchmaker's big red envelope?"
Wanda was stunned. She knew Lin Feng called her "Ao-mei" (Ultron girl), but she was confused. Husband? Matchmaker? How could her husband be a robot?
At first, Wanda struggled to accept it. But as Vision's outfit materialized, she recognized him—the husband from her zombie-world vision.
"Little sister, you really were hungry—you can eat anything!" Pietro teased.
"Shut up!" Wanda shouted, furious.
Her "future husband" being a robot was difficult to accept. Pietro's teasing only worsened her frustration.
"Probably just loneliness," Pietro said, shifting to a protective stance. "But don't worry, if that robot dares touch you, I'll smash him!"
Though teasing earlier, Pietro's attitude now mirrored that of a protective older brother, unwilling to let a potential suitor—even a robot—approach his sister.
Wanda was just a teenager, barely in her teens. Could she really "marry" now? Pietro couldn't accept it. She needed to grow a little first.
