In the scene, everyone was staring intently at Ultron, unsure if he was another new version of Ultron, especially those who didn't trust high-tech, such as Captain Rogers and Thor.
Vision was adapting to his surroundings at an astonishing speed. Clothes quickly materialized on his body, clearly indicating a rapid transition into the age of civilization.
Facing the group closing in on him, Vision didn't seem nervous. He simply said softly, "I'm sorry!"
Then, he turned to Thor and said, "Thank you!"
He saw the cape on Thor's back and conjured one of his own.
Seeing Vision's actions, Thor smiled slightly and couldn't help but say, "Although this robot isn't as handsome as me, his taste is good!"
Vision mimicking his cape, in Thor's eyes, was acknowledging his aesthetic sense.
After all, since arriving on Earth, he'd discovered not many people appreciated his aesthetic, which was too medieval, making him furious.
"Thor, did you help create him?"
Captain Rogers in the image understood what Vision meant. At the critical moment, Thor's lightning strike actually helped Vision be born, rather than destroying him.
He didn't understand why. Why would Thor do this?
He had obviously been very against Tony Stark developing artificial intelligence before. He should have hated it.
Thor explained calmly, "I had a vision. A vortex that swallowed all hope of life. At the center of the vortex...it was that!"
He pointed at the Mind Stone on Vision's forehead. That was the source of his nightmare.
"That's a stone!"
Bruce Banner explained.
"That's the Mind Stone, one of the six Infinity Stones. It possesses the greatest energy in the universe," Thor said slowly, explaining the Infinity Stones. "Its destructive power is unmatched."
At this moment, no one yet realized the terrifying threat that the gathering of all six Infinity Stones would pose to them.
But the people watching the screen already knew that these six stones would be gathered by Thanos in the future, and would eventually be used to destroy the entire universe in a single blow.
Captain Rogers in the picture still didn't understand. He asked with a hint of anger, "Then why did you create him?"
Thor was furious at Tony Stark for acting on his own, but now he had changed his mind.
"Because Stark is right!" Thor replied.
"Oh, this is definitely the end of days!" Bruce Banner sighed.
"The Avengers can't defeat Ultron!"
Thor said directly.
"Not on our own!" Vision explained.
"Why does your Vision sound like Jarvis?" Captain Rogers asked, because the voice sounded so similar.
He didn't quite understand what was going on here; after all, he was an old man over a hundred years old, and it was a bit difficult for him to understand this.
Tony Stark stood up at this moment and explained, "Because we reconstructed Jarvis's program and generated a new product!"
"But the new product is already a flop."
Captain Rogers continued to question him; as far as he could see, the new product...
Vision paced unhurriedly, then asked, "Do you think I am Ultron's son?"
"Aren't you?" Captain Rogers immediately retorted.
"I am not Ultron, nor am I Jarvis. I am myself," Vision explained. To him, he was simply Vision, not Jarvis, and certainly not Ultron.
And today was the beginning of his new life.
"I see destruction in your mind!"
At this moment, Wanda spoke of the scene she had previously witnessed. It was that very scene that made her decide to betray. All she wanted was revenge against the Avengers, against Tony Stark, not to destroy humanity.
Vision didn't explain; instead, he said directly, "Then look again!"
"Yes, whether he agrees or not doesn't matter at all!" Hawkeye Barton walked over with a sneer, saying.
"Their energy, their fear, and Ultron himself, all come from the Mind Stone. Compared to the energy he releases, those are insignificant!" Thor pointed at Ultron and said, "If he were on our side..."
However, before he could finish, he was interrupted by Captain Rogers with a slightly shocked tone, "Wait, are you on our side?"
Vision said, "I don't think it's that simple!"
"I think the simpler the better!" Hawkeye Barton said.
Unlike the Avengers, who had a simple view of good and evil, he had his own understanding. He didn't stand on the side of so-called justice, nor did he stand on the side of so-called evil. He only stood on the side he believed was just.
He paused and said, "I stand on the side of life, and Ultron doesn't. He wants to destroy all life."
"Then what is he waiting for?" Hawkeye Barton immediately asked.
"You!" Vision looked at him and answered.
"Natasha is over there in Sokovia!" Hawkeye Barton said.
At this moment, after observing for a long time, Bruce Banner came forward and cautiously said, "If we're mistaken, if you were created by Ultron to be evil…"
Vision just glanced at Bruce Banner and said, "What will you do? I don't want to kill Ultron. He is unique. He also feels pain, but he will inflict that pain on Earth, so he must be eliminated, along with all the physical things he created and all his traces on the internet. We must act immediately. Without each other's help, none of us can do this! Maybe I am a demon, I don't know if I am or not. I am not like you, and my thoughts are different. I may not be able to make you believe me, but we must act!"
Tony Stark, watching from outside the screen, couldn't help but nod furiously at this answer. Yes, yes, yes, this is exactly the kind of Ultron I wanted to create.
The Ultron I envisioned should be like this, standing on the side of life, on the side of Earth, on the side of humanity, protecting humanity.
Instead of going astray, not only not protecting humanity, not protecting life, but also trying to destroy humanity.
Then Vision did something that made everyone's jaws drop. He actually picked up Mjolnir.
And Thor, seeing this scene, twitched his mouth slightly. Good heavens, there's another person who can lift Mjolnir. It feels like just about anyone can lift Mjolnir, doesn't it? There are already four people in the Avengers who can, right? One is him, Thor, one is Captain Rogers, another is Vision, and the last is Natasha, whom Lin Feng once mentioned.
And Thor in the video was also very embarrassed, especially when he saw Vision effortlessly lift Mjolnir.
But at the same time, this also proved that Vision was a person of pure heart.
The atmosphere suddenly became awkward. Captain Rogers patted Tony Stark on the shoulder and said, "Alright, good job. Prepare for action in three minutes!"
Everyone could see that they were about to have a big battle with Ultron.
But the video ended right there.
Everyone thought about it and could roughly guess that it was in Sokovia, especially since there was a scene of Quicksilver's sacrifice. Although it was just a fleeting glimpse, it was enough to explain a lot of things.
Nick Fury looked at Tony Stark and said, "Tony, if you want to create artificial intelligence again in the future, you have to be extra careful, don't create another Ultron!"
Tony Stark nodded. After watching this video, he had learned his lesson. He hadn't expected that the Ultron he created would cause such a great crisis.
Not to mention, he had created a Vision.
Or rather, Vision was the Ultron he truly wanted to create.
A peaceful being, possessing immense power, standing on the side of life!
But there were risks involved; mistakes would result in Ultron, correctness would result in Vision.
"Don't worry, I can't create Ultron without the Mind Stone!" Tony Stark said.
Without the Mind Stone and the data within, Tony Stark couldn't create Ultron. Even if he built a body for Jarvis, with human-like behavior patterns, it would only be a robot that looked like a human.
But both Ultron and Vision had clearly transcended this level, truly becoming intelligent life forms comparable to humans.
"And this Vision looks harmless, but he's raising humans to feed Wanda, which is really terrifying!" Hawkeye Barton said. "It shows that he's far more complex than he appears!"
"But the problem is, doesn't that mean he's not a weak artificial intelligence?" Bruce Banner said. "If it were still Jarvis, he would only make rational choices based on the optimal solution; his programs don't include emotions. But now he can make such a crazy move, I think it actually proves he has intelligence!"
"Never mind, this is all too complicated. We need to be more careful in the future, Tony. No matter what ideas you have, you can't just act alone like this anymore!" Captain Rogers said.
"I know," Tony Stark nodded.
He already clearly understood the dangers of artificial intelligence. He just really wanted to know what Lin Feng was relying on to be certain that his so-called Red Queen was not dangerous.
He knew Lin Feng never spoke or acted without a purpose. If he said it, he probably had that confidence.
Could it be that he had written corresponding code during the underlying architecture?
Or did he have some physical means to ensure the Red Queen wouldn't have problems?
