Chapter 199 – Zero‑Tails: The Void
"That's… insanely strong…"
Naruto and Amaru couldn't tear their eyes away from Hatake Yusuke's overwhelming power.
"Please… I beg you… let my teacher go…" Amaru pleaded weakly.
"You're too naïve, little girl," Yusuke replied, his voice cold. "Your village was destroyed by this man standing in front of you. He even attacked Konoha. For some people, their deaths may seem insignificant… but none of that is the reason I'm killing him."
Yusuke's gaze sharpened. "He dies for one reason alone—he scared my wife."
Everyone froze—even Sasuke, hiding in the shadows, stiffened in shock. His brows tightened as if he couldn't believe what he'd heard.
"Shinnō," Yusuke continued, "I don't care about Konoha. I don't care about the shinobi world. But one thing is absolute—no one touches my family."
The incident involving Kurenai had ignited a fury inside him that refused to cool.
Shinnō, without hesitation, activated a hidden mechanism beneath his feet. His body dropped through an opening in the floor, falling toward a lower chamber. Yusuke only narrowed his eyes, still wearing that faint, chilling smile.
"You brat… come out already," Yusuke said.
Sasuke stepped out from the shadows.
"Sasuke!" Naruto called out in surprise.
Sasuke threw Naruto a brief glance, then faced Yusuke respectfully.
"Uncle Yusuke," he greeted.
Yusuke gave a small nod.
"Take the two of them down. I'm destroying this entire place," Yusuke instructed.
Without a single complaint, Sasuke entered his Curse Mark Second State. Black wings unfolded behind him as he moved behind Naruto and Amaru, lifting them into the air.
"Let go of me, Sasuke! I have to help Uncle Yusuke!" Naruto shouted, struggling.
"Be quiet, loser," Sasuke replied flatly. "He doesn't need your help."
In Sasuke's eyes was a pressure Naruto had never seen. For the past two years, he had grown immensely stronger. Yet every time he remembered Yusuke's sword strike from the past, he was reminded of the impossible distance between them.
Even Orochimaru once told him:
"Yusuke's power can't be described with words. You're still too weak, Sasuke. Your field of vision is far too narrow."
Two years later, Sasuke finally understood. And that was why he respected Yusuke so deeply.
— — —
Yusuke stepped into the lowest level of the fortress.
A strange serpent‑like creature loomed there—Zero‑Tails.
"So you've finally arrived," Shinnō said, now fused with the creature. "Once I merge fully with Zero‑Tails, you'll never defeat me. And remember—Zero‑Tails can't be killed. It is born from the darkness in human hearts!"
"Is that what you think?" Yusuke removed his blindfold.
His eyes were icy—sharp enough to pierce a soul.
Shinnō froze. A shiver of dread crawled up his spine. He hurriedly released Zero‑Tails' restraints and ordered it to attack.
But Yusuke still didn't move.
A small, pitch‑black orb floated silently behind him.
The moment it appeared, Zero‑Tails' tentacles halted mid‑swing. They trembled uncontrollably, then recoiled in fear.
Shinnō's eyes widened.
Zero‑Tails can feel fear…?!
Yusuke paid him no mind. The Truth‑Seeking Orb drifted forward and pierced Zero‑Tails' body. The creature dissolved, its essence erased without resistance.
With Zero‑Tails gone, the floating fortress lost its chakra supply and began plummeting.
"Float," Yusuke murmured.
The fortress halted mid‑fall, suspended in the air by the power of the Float‑Float Fruit.
Shinnō stumbled backward, horrified. "What… what are you?!"
"For a dead man, what use is the answer?" Yusuke turned around.
The Truth‑Seeking Orb shot forward. Shinnō didn't even have time to scream before his entire body disintegrated into nothingness.
— — —
Yusuke then walked to the fortress' prison chamber and released all the captives.
"Lord Yusuke!" Hinata called out, relief flooding her voice.
"Mm. Take everyone down," he replied calmly.
With the Float‑Float Fruit, he ensured all prisoners—including Hinata—descended safely to the ground.
"Everyone, evacuate immediately!" Kakashi ordered, sensing the chakra pressure shift.
All shinobi retreated at full speed.
Once Yusuke confirmed they were all clear, he raised his hand. A white glow condensed in his palm.
"Airquake."
His strike shattered the very air. Cracks flashed across the sky like broken glass. The floating fortress split apart, detonating into fragments.
The shockwave didn't stop there. The cracks widened, spreading across the atmosphere.
"What is that!?"
Shikamaru and the others stared upward, eyes wide.
Naruto rubbed his eyes. "Is the sky… breaking?"
"Unbelievable…"
Neji and Hinata activated the Byakugan. From a distance, they saw the ocean rise a hundred meters high—as though the world itself had tilted.
"What in the world is happening!?" Naruto asked Kakashi.
"Did you forget, Naruto?" Kakashi replied. "When I trained you back then, this was the final technique he wanted to use. But his sister‑in‑law stopped him."
Shikamaru remembered instantly.
Back then, Lady Tsunade yelled,
"Are you trying to destroy Konoha!?"
It was a moment he could never forget.
"This is insane! Kakashi‑sensei, why aren't you surprised? Can you do something like this?!" Naruto demanded.
Kakashi's expression darkened.
Even with over a thousand copied jutsu and swordsmanship rivaling the elite, his strength was merely at a Super‑Kage level—slightly above Nagato, but still far below Uchiha Madara or Hashirama Senju.
"No. This is the first ability my brother awakened," Kakashi explained seriously. "And it's also one of his strongest offensive techniques. It's rumored to hold enough power to destroy the world."
"D‑destroy… the world!?" Everyone's faces turned pale.
"Kakashi‑sensei, you're kidding, right? That's too much!" Naruto protested.
"Do you think he's even using his full strength?" Kakashi responded coldly.
No one could argue with that.
For the first time, the others realized…
A ninja could become this strong.
— — —
After the sky finally stabilized, Yusuke walked toward the group.
"Come on, I'll take you back."
"Understood," Kakashi replied immediately.
"Wait, Uncle. I want to take Amaru back to her village," Naruto said.
"Fine." Yusuke nodded.
Hinata, Sakura, and Naruto returned to complete their mission, while Yusuke opened a dimensional doorway using the Door‑Door Fruit and brought the others back to Konoha instantly.
They stepped out directly into the Hokage's office.
Kakashi and Shikamaru began their report.
"What!? You let Naruto go on his own!?" Tsunade snapped.
"He'll be fine," Yusuke said casually.
Hearing that, Tsunade forced herself to calm down. She trusted Yusuke more than she'd admit.
"You destroyed the entire floating fortress?" Tsunade asked, her expression tightening.
"Of course. Why leave something useless like that intact?" Yusuke answered lightly.
"You idiot! A floating fortress is an invaluable research material for Konoha!" Tsunade yelled.
"Making things float? That's easy," Yusuke replied without a hint of shame.
