Nobody spoke about that event. The men buried the woman's body in the forest, and the captain, although he was mad about it, didn't punish Clad for this, as he didn't know that his girlfriend was that kind of person, and let it go.
Cody and his girlfriend reconciled, saying that it's alright and that he needs to get used to killing people anyway, as some people will try to kill him in the future or betray his trust eventually. Which Clad understood the meaning behind their words, but they both know he doesn't really like the idea of it.
A few guys tease him, saying that he's finally becoming a man, and Clad doesn't find it funny at all.
"Leave," Cody says as an overwhelming amount of wind and grey aura is unleashed. Anger can be seen on his face, and the few guys get scared of Cody and walk away.
"What an overwhelming amount of energy, Cody." His girlfriend tells him as she leans in to kiss his cheek.
Both of them giggle as Clad gawks at them, flirting with each other.
"Oh yeah, by the way, Clad," Cody says as he turns his head towards him.
"What?"
"Want me to share my secret?" Cody says with a smirk on his face.
"Yeah," Clad says as he's curious as to what Cody's secret is
"Well, my first secret is that I used to be an A-ranked adventurer before joining this group, although I don't expect you to know what the adventurer job is, as it was a pretty rare job to have, even now."
"I used to kill monsters to help the nearby village since I had no clue what I was really doing. Then a few years went by, and I became famous for helping people out!" Cody says with a warm smile on his face.
"And my second one is.."
"That I am a reincarnator from a place called Earth and i was born in a country called the USA!" He says as he tries to make it seem like it's an amazing thing in an attempt to make Clad smile.
"Reincarnator?" Clad asks him
"Uhhhh, it's like when you die and then a god sends you into another world, like an isekai!" Cody replies with confidence.
"Isekai?"
"Yeah, uhhh, forget about that word," Cody says with a serious tone as he approaches Clad's face, looking at him directly into his eyes.
"O-oh, okay."
(Clad's storytelling gets interrupted by Adonis)
"Oh, so that's why you weren't surprised when I told you I was a reincarnator?"
"Yeah you werent my first encounter, and stop cutting me off."
